Fresh and good food. I love their soft shell crab and shrimp tempura, fried banana and grilled salmon.

I am pretty spoiled on all you can eat sushi. In the Netherlands it is all prepared fresh for you on order. But I have to say for a buffet style sushi bar, no real complains. And the service was great: friendly and easygoing. Quality wise the dragon roll could be a bit more fresh but being realistic about it that is hard in a hi demand sushi bar. We will come back here!

Fuji’s in elk grove is a good go to sushi restaurant when im craving all you can eat sushi. Pricing is decent, although i’ve experienced better pricing elsewhere for the same sushi buffet experience. Some enjoyable pros are; great soft shell crab, fried bananas & oysters, sashimi assortment, & the ninja roll. Unfortunately, cons out way the pros. If you arrive late it gets extremely over crowded & the wait times vary up to 45mins. Seating arrangement is too close & compact. Wait staff arent very attentive; you’ll be waiting for a refill on water practically the whole time. Not a very romantic place to take the hot girl you’re trying to impress on a first date either because it gets loud & you can hear everyone else’s conversation but your own. She will end up dumping you. To sum it up, fujis is decent. Not amazing, & not extremely terrible either. Just decent.

Usually stop by this place after a day trip to Tahoe. Love the price for AYCE sushi. They have sushi boats that have sushi and appetizers that are pre-made. However, they give out menus where you can go up to the chef and order whatever roll you want. The sushi is pretty fresh, I can’t complain. There is seating around the boats and the sushi chefs are located in the middle or there are numerous tables where you can sit. When I went it was 7:30 pm on a Monday night and it was not crowded at all. They have two televisions that were playing the Warriors and Spurs game so that was a big plus.(Since I thought I was going to miss the game). If you’re in the area you should definitely check this place out!

For the price of all you can eat, it is definately worth it. Food seems very fresh. Wish they had raw oysters. that would top it all off. One of my favorite spots to dine in at. Their service is great as well.

Eh… This place is not worth the hype in my opinion… We drove a little ways to get here and honestly I’m disappointed! 1) the food is NOT appealing at all… When you walk in, there is a waiting area and buffet line. The food did not look good at all… There was soup, mushrooms in some sauce, fruit, jello, some salt and pepper shrimp… And nothing looked appetizing… Made me actually loose my appetite! 2) sushi buffet wasn’t all that… The rolls looked boring and there was not much selection… They do make it fresh but the selection was limited! I ordered a shrimp tempura plate and it was just okay… Small sized shrimp and it was dry!!! 3) customer service needs to be improved… The employees were not too friendly and never smiled! One of the employees even slid the sushi roll I ordered across the counter instead of handing it to me! Not cool and horrible service! 4) place wasn’t too clean… food on the floor and the beverage section was nasty… wet, dirty cups… And smelled like dish soap… Blah! Bottom line I won’t be back… I’m being nice giving them 1 star… Other sushi places blow this place out of the water…

This place is bombbbbb! Our go to place for sushi when in the area! Hamachi all day! Their sushi is pretty good(you can request the rolls you want), but the sashimi makes everything worth it!!! Hamachi Kama is bomb too!!! Sit by the boat to get the most of the experience! And Ohhh… they serve Chinese food too as part of the buffet.

I can’t really think of a legitimate reason why Fuji’s should not receive 5 stars. First of all, the sushi is delicious! Definitely among the freshest and most enjoyable sushi in town. The sushi chefs are always willing to put something together for you at your request. I generally tend to go for their buffet and enjoy sitting at the bar. The servers are always prompt and friendly. Despite how crowded it was for Saturday lunch, the wait was not bad at all. The gentleman in charge of the flow of customers coming and leaving is very experienced, you could tell. I always leave here with a full and happy stomach. If you don’t mind the crowds I would recommend giving Fuji’s a try… but just keep in mind that they are ALWAYS busy. They do a great job getting you a table as quickly as possible, but busy is busy. One of the better sushi spots in Elk Grove.

I come to this place whenever I want all you can eat sushi because I’ve never had a problem here and the food is always good. I always come just after they open so I haven’t really had to deal with long lines or anything like that, but I suggest getting here early because the line gets long in no time. Whenever I eat here, I get grilled salmon, philly roll, nigiri, and a couple rolls. I’ve always been satisfied with the food. The quality is good and I always leave full and satisfied. This place is so fun when you have a large group and you’re able to get in before there’s a line. I love coming here with big groups cause everyone is able to get whatever sushi they want and we all take and share. The only thing I’d change is the price. I’ve been to other all you can eat sushi buffets that are a few dollars cheaper. The dinner/holiday price is a little much especially if you have to wait in a long line and/or the restaurant which is kind of cramped, especially around the food buffet area which shares a space with the waiting area. All in all, this place is pretty good but there are still some things that they could fix. It’s understandable why people dislike Fuji’s but it’s not unbelievable for people to like it there.

Never had a problem coming here. The sushi and service is good. My water was always filled. They have Chinese food as well and you can always order at the counter if you have other sushis in mind. They bring it out quite quickly. Things to order to get your monies worth — Sashimi, grilled hamachi collar fish, mixed tempura(make sure to get the fried oyster also), & also steamed oysters which you have to get yourself once it comes out in the Chinese food section. My personal favorite sushi that I always order is the lion king roll. You can also order hand rolls as well.

I’ve never understood the draw of this place. Long lines before opening, full house through the open hours. The pre made sushi was made with very low quality ingredients in my option. Most of the pre made items were the wrong temperature. The seared ahi was horrible. Our custom order(dragon roll) still not good. I had tried this place several years ago with the same experience but a friend wanted to try it and even though I told him about my prior experience, it didn’t sway him. I tried again and was very disappointed. He ended up being equally as disappointed

How can you beat $ 15.50 for all you can eat lunch at a sushi buffet? That boggles my mind, especially when you can order sashimi combo platters! Fish is decent and service is quick. I didn’t try the basic rolls on the rotating sushi boats, instead I ordered pretty much everything from the kitchen. Fried oysters, veggie tempura, Lion King Roll, Spicy Johnny Roll, Hamachi Kama, and sashmi were all good. I didn’t like the seared pepper fin because I don’t prefer it seared. I would have given a higher rating if I didn’t find out days later that they overcharged my credit card, then when I tried calling them during business hours they ignored their phone. Customer service could be better.

A lot of people say this place sucks or is «okay»…I think they’re just one of those ppl who grab the food off the sushi boats only. When I go there, which is pretty often, lol, I alllllways order several plates of large sashimi plate, large spicy seared tuna, spicy Johnny rolls and dragon rolls. Besides what I ‘special order’, my parents and brothers(and other guests I come with) would pick up plates and plates of the grilled(?) oysters, mussels and crab legs(if they have them that day). For ~$ 20 a person, everything is pretty damn good, especially the sashimi! They’re always soft and yummy! The sashimi alone… how can you say no to all you can eat sashimi?!? I think people come here expecting top fish and specialty rolls… I wish they had raw half shell oysters

Last Wednesday night on 8÷5÷2015, my family and I were heading to this Elk Grove Japanese/Chinese buffet called, «Fuji Sushi Buffet.» I’ve been to that place for quite some times for the past few years, and it’s one of the most populated place for residents near and far, so you can get your favorite sushi or other foodies in no time! The atmosphere is very crowded even during the night peek which it gets very busy out there. The best suggestion: go there early before the dinner or lunch peek hours opens, so you can get the foods and a guest table faster depending how many people will be attend. The employees are very average due to the populated guests. Sometimes they will request anything from drinks to specialty foods from the sushi bar. So far, it went alright for me and my parents, so I have no problems at all. Every food from Fuji Sushi Buffet is quite delicious! Every sushi from California roll to salmon roll tasted very good! The deep fried soft shelled crabs and tempura shrimp also tasted delicious. I kept noticing that most people often getting this popular food is the fresh, steamed oysters located at the Chinese food and fruits bar. These oysters tasted awesome! The seasoning sauce is very well balanced, so the oysters can evaporate the taste! Not a bad oyster in a steamed cooking! The rest of the Chinese food and fruits bar are also average for me. The best choice in the bar besides steamed oysters, is the steamed seasoned clams which also tasted very good too! Not a bad, complete meal! There a good, ample of parking out there, so you can park it easier without the hassles. Overall, Fuji Sushi Buffet in Elk Grove is the greatest Japanese/Chinese buffet in the Elk Grove neighborhood. Perfect for friends and family gathering! Highly recommend!

Always loved this place. One of the main Asian-Am guys(Stan) always remembers my favorite thing to order whenever he sees me approach the bar. «Large salmon sashimi, right?» And he always hooks it up! Love that guy. Service with a smile from him for the years I’ve come here. It never fails to make me happy. It’s things like that which put this place above & beyond, and will keep me coming for years to come. I always get the Lion King roll, seared tuna(spiced with sriracha), fried soft shell crab, if I have room – hamachi kama, and finish off with fried bananas. Some people complain about the wait. Any good place will have a line. But take it from me… I’ve come randomly at noon on a random Wednesday in July and was seated the minute I walked in. Holidays are packed with Filipino, Chinese, and tons of other SE Asians representing. They know what’s up when it comes to food. Other people complain about the sashimi not being all thawed when they get it. Just give it a couple minutes. Some note my eating 3 – 4 large platters of sashimi is what sets the chefs back, making them serve some semi-thawed salmon. That they should see me coming & know the small Asian person with the appetite of a hungry bear has arrived, and to prepare backup sashimi. It’s gotten to the point where I have seriously considered I may be part of the problem… but until they put my photo on a «warning wall,» I claim no part in this. The way they prepare the salmon sashimi may be a bit rich or salty for some, but it works if you balance it out with maguro/tuna or yellowfin. Also, don’t be afraid to flag down the servers for drink refills. They can be bad about that at times. Otherwise, I’ll continue to be a fan. This place will always be my jam, and a part of home.

I’ve been meaning to try this place and I finally had the chance to dine here last night. Thank you Unilocalers for recommending going there before they open. We did that and by 5:02PM we were seated and ready to eat. We chose to sit at the sushi bar because I love watching sushi boats go by, and you can easily request for more sushi rolls from the chefs in front of you. One of the reasons why we wanted to check this place out is because of the soft shell crab, and it seriously did not disappoint. It’s high calorie deliciousness!!! It is not on the buffet table or the counters, so you have to order it from the kitchen helpers. Same goes for the grilled salmon, shrimp tempura, and calamari. If you don’t see your favorite sushi roll on the boats, you can tell the chef what you like and they would gladly make it for you. I would say that their sushi is pretty decent. The rolls were not amazing, but good food quality. My favorite is the unagi roll… Don’t listen to Ross Geller(from friends) about«unagi», it’s not a state of total awareness… it’s freshwater eel! =) I like how most of the servers are attentive and dishes were cleared very promptly. The dessert bar was an absolute disappointment though… but then again, I didn’t come here for the dessert. Just skip dessert and when you go outside, turn right and walk a few steps, then get an ice cream sandwich from CREAM. #win! Overall, great experience. The food was mediocre but there were enough items to make the meal pleasant. Sushi is getting crazy expensive so AYCE sushi for $ 18.95 is a really great deal. Will drive 18 miles to elk grove again for the soft shell crab and the rolls.

Lines forming outside before they even open for dinner? Fuji will forever be the popular kid in town. Don’t worry about money going to waste here because you’ll definitely get your money’s worth ! Sorry but no other sushi buffet in town compares to good ol fujis ! Oysters at the buffet, sashimi at the sushi bar, and rolls made to order. Start with that and you’ll be a happy camper ! The rolls I usually request are the titanic and spicy ninja. If you wait in line before they open for dinner, you’ll be glad you did because the food is oh so fresh ! Skip the fruit that’s not even in season and dive into the soft serve and deep fried bananas that you can request at the sushi bar :)

Originally, wanted to give ‘em a 3 – 3.5, but change of heart cus the food here makes me happy so 4-whole stars for ya. Yea yea you’re welcome. But– oh baby baby, how was I suppose to know that something wasn’t right here? Ok front desk person whatever the f*ck your title is, your customer service skills [lack of] ESPECIALLY yesterday afternoon got yo girl wide eyed cherry pie like ‘REALLYBRUH?‘ I understand the stress and demands from work etc. but please do not scold me in front of other people like I’m trash or it was my f*ckin’ fault. My father does not even speak or raise his voice at me like that so what makes you think you can do that with me? HahahahahAh hilarious now get off the stage. There is a better way of telling me or explaining me things, mister man. Be professional. No need for all that, seriously. Be nice and smile for once. Other then that abusive unnecessary mishap, I love the food so much though lol: + sit at the bar if ya can; easy access TO food and request FOR food + ice cream is only available during dinner time(stupid rule I know) so when the time comes, have it with fried bananas mmMm + no raw oysters or uni + the wait can be horrendous(or not really like a full moon) so it’s a gamble, and how bad do you want it– Waiting game is about 40 minutes to yonder hours. Wanna play?

Davis is where it all started, of course. Elk Grove got its own Fuji(and I spotted one in Vacaville Nut Tree Plaza last month) and it’s always a good go-to when we feel like sushi buffet. Came for a weekday lunch for dad’s birthday, AYCE lunch was around $ 15 each. Mostly stuck to the rolls from the sushi boats and some full rolls made by the sushi chefs. Didn’t get any hot food or dessert except a plate of fruits, just because. I’m always a fan of spicy tuna, unagi, salmon sashimi, and the like. Shrimp tempura is sort of a given in most rolls, as well as crab. I didn’t care too much for any rolls with heavy mayonnaise or cream cheese, but it certainly was filling and worth the money. Might come back next time am in Elk Grove… and save room for CREAM a few doors down.

Best sushi buffet in Elk Grove area. This restaurant is always packed, ESPECIALLY on weekends(prepare for at least a 40min-2hr wait depending on how busy they are). Small waiting area for the amount of traffic they have, so if it’s cold outside, dress warm because you may have to wait outside. In the middle of the restaurant, there’s a sushi boat round-about at the sushi bar. This is where special rolls and orders get placed and to do so, you can head over to the bar, wait for eye contact with one of the staff behind the bar and shout it your order. Fun experience! Here are some items you can special order: –Sashimi –Nigiri’s –Seared(spicy or not) tuna –Dragon Roll –Soft shell crab –Deep fried oysters –Fried fish collar –Grilled salmon(my fav) –Tempura(veggie or mixed) ****when I do go, I order literally all of these! 8) The Chinese food buffet upon entering is pretty good as well. Best thing worth camping for are the oysters. The seasoning is delicious(but once they bring a new tray out, you snooze, you lose). As for service, it’s not going to be the best. Don’t expect the servers to always spend a ton of time on you because their job at this restaurant is just SO fast-paced. BUT I think they are awesome because despite of how busy it gets, they are on TOP of it! Boom, boom, boom! They seat you, get you drinks, drop of napkins, and consistently refill your waters/sodas throughout your stay but never say a word to you(which I’m cool with). SHOUTOUTTOSTAN! He’s awesome and always makes the experience and atmosphere great.
