Mahmoud Khattab, MD

I know this review is a little late in coming and I apologize for that. I had liposuction performed by Dr. Khattab about 4 or 5 years ago and I can honestly say that this Doctor should not be in practice. Besides being a liar and totally unprofessional, he did not know what he was doing (despite the fact that he told me he performed this type of surgery at least 3-4 times a week). He did not perform the surgery correctly and forever changed the shape of my body. I am dumbfounded by the positive reviews Dr. Khattab has received. This doctor is not concerned about the welfare of his patients; he is only concerned about the money. I was lied to by Lisa, the gal who conducts the initial consultation (which can probably better be described as 'the sales pitch'), and the information provided in the pamphlets that you are given concerning your specific surgery is contradictory to what really happens. My husband was also a patient of Dr. Khattab's and he is in complete concurrence with my review. We paid $17K to Dr. Khattab for a surgical procedure that was mostly performed by his inexperienced medical assistants. And of course that procedure was also a failure. Most, if not all, of the 'before and after' pictures that we were shown were of patients that did not even have their procedure done by Dr. Khattab! This review may not hold any weight now that the State of California has revoked his medical license, but I thought I'd throw it out there anyway. Everything I have said in this review is the truth and I would be wiling to testify in a court of law as to its authenticity...

I can’t believe the amount of patient care I have received from Doctor Khattab! He has exceeded all of my expectations ie. follow up care every step of the way! He is exceptionally kind with an amazing bedside manner and he truly cares to find a solution that’s best fit for me. Dr. Khattab is amazing.

I cannot say enough about the care I received from Dr. Khattab and his amazing staff. I had the Halo laser treatment, the downtime is 8 days, however worth it. anyone can get a laser treatment, however the follow up care, phone calls, and texts to check up on me was over the top. Dr. Khattab is a very caring person and it shows, he is so enthusiastic about what he does and it shows. I had Ulthera elsewhere, not knowing Dr. Khattab offered it, I loved the treatment and will go to him next time!

The Doctor was fine. His front office staff is a totally different story.
My Mother needed a doctor while visiting from out of state so I checked reviews for Doctors that were taking new patients and could get us in quickly.
Our first appointment was great. The doctor was professional.
My Mom needed follow up care so we made an appointment on Weds this week for Friday. I took the day off work and drove my Mom from ANTELOPE to Elk Grove in Friday traffic to be told we didn’t have an appointment. I explained that the appt was made on Weds. She then told me that I had not called, but that my husband called and made an appt for December 12^th??? I think I know who I called and what was discussed. I asked if the doctor could squeeze us in since we did drive over 20 miles to get there. She came back and said no. There was no «hey so sorry about that.» She just sat there expressionless. As I explained further that I know I called. She just looked at me like I was annoying her.
She did offer to reschedule. Yeah, that’s not going to happen Ms. Sourpuss. I will find a doctor closer to home with a better front desk staff.

So the Dr called me and personally apologized. The Doctor is not the issue here — its the front desk people — I wish they would grasp the fact that the majority of us will go elsewhere if your staff isn’t friendly.
While he had explained they all have to use a specific billing company for their bills — thats fine, but it doesn’t excuse your front desk person who refused service to me because I had a balance that was a week old.
The Doctor told me I should always ask for him so he can handle, I get his approach but I go to my doctor for medical issues — not billing issues, I don’t want to waste time calling a Dr. about having issues with his front desk.
In the competitive landscape today you need to get it right — if you don’t, then folks go elsewhere.
Dr Kattab is a good doctor — unfortunately I just feel like I was mistreated. I have upped the review here to 3 stars — The Doc is fine folks, just the girls at the front really ruined it for me.

DR. Khattab IS THE BEST INTERNAL MEDICINE DOCTOR I HAVE EVER HAD. He is a smart doctor beginning with his great ambition to be 100% dedicated to his patients needs and wants. I have never had a Doctor like Dr. Khattab who has wonderful bed side manners with his patients and truly cares for all of his patients. Another unique quality is how involved he is with his administrative staff. He has full control of his staff and his patients. I feel other doctors In the area need to get a lesson from Dr Khattab because you don’t find many doctors who truly cares for each and every one of his patients. Thank you Dr. Khattab for taking such good care of me.

I’ve gone to see Dr. khattab several times. I definitely trust him. I plan to continue seeing him. Enough said.

Dr. Khattab is an excellent internal medicine physician. Went in to get laser skin tightening and laser hair removal in addition to sublative rejuvenation to take care of scars and acne. Found out about the doctor through Good Day News when they interviewed him at his clinic and showed a live demonstration of the treatments offered at his medical spa. Highly recommend this doctor, very satisfied with my treatments.
