Rowena Pantig-Astorga, MD

I have been going to this doctor for the past five to six years. She was located on Laguna Blvd but they recently moved to the newer building on Wymark Drive.
Dr Pantig-​Astorga is actually quite popular. It’s tough to get in to see her unless your
needs are such that you can wait or just go to ER at Methodist. They also have the Mercy Medical Group walkins but you usually have to wait several hours.
I have been known to wait for her for about 45 minutes even with an appointment. She is quite thorough and will refer you to a specialist depending on your needs. I actually don’t see her for a pelvic exam as that would slow her down. It makes sense as she is a general practitioner and best to see an OB/​GYN.
I don’t know if at the moment she is taking new patients. I would call, check
and see as she is efficient. She will take care of you the best she knows how.
Dr Pantig-​Astorga is very youthful looking but be mindful she knows her job.
Try her if you need to. I do see her on a regular basis and probably see her at least twice a year. You won’t be sorry.

For anything other than my blood pressure & cholesterol she seems out of her depth. & she sent me to a horrible ENT — horrible meaning he was clueless & not particularly nice. (My allergist was able to diagnose LPR, which should have bene done by the ENT.) So she isn’t too sharp & she doesn’t know who else is good. I am looking for a new GP.
