Save Mart

I think for having the name Save Mart I thought we would save a little more. With that being said it is always clean well stocked, close to our house and they are always friendly. When in need of just a few things it is a great grocery store for us.

Absolutely love this place! I live in Camden which is directly behind savemart so this store is super convenient especially when it’s late at night. Kind of over priced but the customer service is profound! This review is mainly for their service! Everyone is ALWAYS super friendly and always willing to help with a smile on their face. Especially the young gentlemen named Chris, correct me if I’m wrong. He’s awesome! He always makes sure I find what I need. Thank you savemart! I love you guys!

A little out of the way for me since I live down the street from a the Safeway & Bel-​Air on Calvine & EG Florin, but Safeway a few months back stopped selling some of the grocery items I always purchase. Which was annoying as hell, but I could get over some of them being switched out but they seem to have completely stopped selling Egg White, and that’s a No-​Go for me. And if Bel-​Air has them they way more expensive, so I checked out Save Mart, and low and behold they had it. So for now Save Mart is my go to for Egg White, until Safeway wises up!
I think the only thing else I’ve come here for was for a school supply for my son, since I was in the area because I go to the CalFit on bond. But for other than these few things, I haven’t purchases any other items or groceries here. So I don’t know how they overall prices compares to Safeway, and I know Safeway in some areas is probably more expensive. But I also the Safeway ‘Just 4 U’ app, which helps me save as well and Save Mart doesn’t have that. Granted it could be because their prices are already fairly low.

Covient store for me since i live near by. Always Friendly service. I always feel welcome here and they socialized with their customers. I prob come here every other day/​night price is kind of high but i love their service

Too bad I can’t leave zero stars! Drove 15 minutes to use a free coupon we got in the mail.
At checkout. Peaches $ 1.69lb, had 3 in the bag, rang up for $ 10.53 at 6.23 pounds. Those must be some mighty heavy pits to weigh over 2lbs a peach.
Weighed the 3 peaches at home=1.22lbs.
Called when got home, said have to drive back to fix, WOW, hows that for customer service.
Just learned a lesson to never shop at Save Mart Supermarkets again.

Decided to drive the 30 min round trip. The manager ended up giving us a full refund, apologies from cashier and manager. Left with peaches in hand. Thanks for making things right Save Mart!
I would go back again, just paying attention to the receipt next time. It was an unfortunate accidental occurrence.

it was my first time at a save mart. I wanted to get something from the seafood/​meat department but I had some questions. The seafood/​meat department was really helpful. She even put more meat out for me to choose from.

Save mart is just ok! Nothing special about any part of this store. The sanitation wipes are always empty and the baskets are dirty with old adds and misc papers. Wake up courtesy clerks! Throw the crap in the garbage can and dont leave it there for the next customer to throw away! Some of the guys in the meat dept. seem to be bothered when you ask questions. Kind of lazy actually! The produce is mostly fresh but sometime over ripe and wilted. The store is clean and kept well. But the old unions guys seem to just be hanging around waiting to retire! Rosie is a Jem! She has a great attitude and always smiling. There are other good employees too but the old and lazy out number the good! Pricing is reasonable which is another plus but the adds can sometimes be tricky. Example you gotta buy this to get that!

Wonderful staff! I walked in and was immediately greeted by the deli staff. «Please let me know how I can help you, maam.» Yes ma’am! The meats were average but it is a neighborhood place and it was Superbowl Sunday. Woe is me that I did not remember this when I decided to make my grocery for the month. The lines were backed up to the back of the store! But the staff were troopers and kept their cool and helped everyone that was there. Even the frustrated ones.
At the customer service counters they were checking out customers with 10 items or less and that was a great thing. The produce was fresh and my roast beef is bomb. I like the staff and they seem to be very aware of the busy day and treating customers well. The cashier and bagger was pleasant as well. Even though, I do not live here if I am every in the neighborhood, I will stop in.

This is the nearest grocery from my house. Nothing really special. I love grocery chocolate donuts, which they have.
The last time it was raining for weeks, all racks of umbrellas in Target were raided. I figured it might rain the next day so I just grabbed an umbrella I didn’t like. I checked Save Mart real quick before I headed home in case they have umbrellas, and they did have some! Even the one that I really liked. I got the clear bubble umbrella.
I returned the umbrella from Target the next day.

I know my first time in this supermarket. What gives?
Okay our main reason for our visit here was to purchase salmon as they have it on sale for 5.99 a pound. My HB is the sale market ads fanatic. He even searched it online to let me know they have a sale starting today 1÷14÷15 ending 1÷20÷15. He informed me that Save Mart does not send out ads or we just don’t get them in our mail as I saw ads in their store. Plus we just bought some salmon elsewhere for 10.98 that was for only 12 ounces my HB reminded me. LOL!
We decided to drop by here as I wanted to eat more seafood as I am trying to lose some weight. Okay, so we ended up at the meat counter where there was salmon. It was marked 5.99 per pound but the nice meat saleslady gave it to us at 4.99 per pound as it was frozen. She was even kind enough to cut it up in several pieces as it was ginormous in itself!
Great, I was eyeing the nice sized cooked shrimp & said to my HB should we buy that too? The same courteous & informative saleslady mentioned it was cheaper by 2.00 a pound frozen. Of course, I couldn’t beat that. I went ahead and picked up a bag. I said I guess I’m going back to cooking again before the huge renovation coming in a couple months!!!
That’s fine! It’s better in the long run! I made mushrooms TDF yesterday with my steak yesterday so I can get back to it before we know it! HAHAHA!
Overall our experience in here was not bad at all. I guess we will come back. We came early in the day and there were tons of parking spaces in the parking lot!!! if you’re looking for a salmon sale, I suggest coming by here this week!

A little pricy, hard to get out of the shopping center, but it’s decent for a quick pick up of a forgotten dinner menu item. Definitely not where I would do all my shopping.

I am not a regular shopper at this Save Mart but I needed some groceries so I decided to stop while driving by. While shopping inside the store I realized that the store did not smell good, in fact it stunk! I can only describe the smell as stale and musty or a dirty smell. It bothered me so much that I only purchased a few items and left without doing the rest of my shopping. Save Mart really needs to do some deep cleaning so that the store smells fresh and clean. Won’t do that again!

On a really hot day, after spending hours cleaning up a storage unit, I went to Save Mart’s deli for a cup of potato salad.
Armando served it up in an appropriate container. Greeting or smile must be extra.
He grabbed the correct lid for the container, which had been inside-​down on the counter. I thought he was going to find another CLEAN lid, but instead, wiped the inside of the lid — the side that touches the food — on his apron, the put in on the container.
Gross.
Never again.
At least the potato salad was tasty.

Every Friday Saturday and Sunday they BBQ out front the tri tip is the bomb the employees at this store are very friendly and helpful!

I’ve been to plenty of grocery stores and I can say that this place is one of my favorites. The staffs are friendly and the store is clean. If they run out of a specific item I was looking for, they would not hesitate and write me a raincheck. They stock every night and everything is organized.

Not a big deal. Nothing spectacular about them at the moment.

This place always seems to be under-​staffed, and almost every time I use self-​checkout I end up needing to wait for assistance multiple times. The employees are nice enough but seem to be over-​worked. There are other grocery stores in the area with cheaper prices or better quality and you can get in and out faster than at Save Mart.

Red Box, frozen pizza and beer. Can you say movie night?

THis store smells like fish and is dirty. The employees all seem bitter– There is a Raley’s and Bel-​Air down the street.
