Solaire Tans

White is a good look on sandy beaches and bed sheets. Pasty white skin tone, not so much. So I am glad this place reopened under new ownership, new name and some new bulbs to burn some color on me.
I stopped going here because it got a little rundown but since reopening, Solaire has been immaculately kept. It is always clean and tidy which I feel is extremely important for a tanning salon. They are also always stocked with a lot of the latest lotions and the staff seems very knowledgeable about the products.
One of the biggest reason I am a huge fan of Solaire is their non pushy staff. You go to any other of the big chain tanning salons and they want you to buy a package, go month to month, upgrade beds or make ridiculous suggestions like «tan only 5 minutes to build a base tan». Look sweetie, stick the bed on broil and let me cook in it. That’s gets annoying so I am glad Solaire has chosen the opposite route.
So if your looking for a alternative to the pushy chain salons to sun the buns, look no further than Solaire.

If you want what you pay for and employees who are trained and know what they are doing do not go here. I decided to try them out after I received a coupon in the mail and their location was on my way home but that turned into nothing but disappointment. It started out with their coupon that was very misleading because it was for one free tan which I assumed was for the tanning beds or a spray tan and after many years of being a happy customer of California sun where each and every time I went there the employees were very informative and my spray tan would come out perfect and I was always happy but I thought I would give them a try and see how well their spray tan machine worked and what kind of a result I would get from somewhere new. Big mistake. So since the coupon that brought me in the door wasn’t for a free spray tan I ended up buying a tanning package of 4 tans. So the first time I used their machine there was no direction at all from the employee working that day so it was a good thing that I had been tanning for years and knew what to do if you have never spray tanned before you would’ve been confused and not known what to do. I also asked what number tan she recommended for my skin tone and her answer was she had no idea. So I went with what I had been getting at California sun and as soon as the machine was finished tanning me I knew it wasn’t working and I had no color at all and it did absolutely nothing when I should’ve been walking out with a nice bronze color. So I said something to the girl out front and she said I don’t know what happened but your right it didn’t tan your skin at all and she then said well sometimes it takes at least 8 hours to show up so if nothing happens by tomorrow come show me and we will not count your tan this time and you will get all 4 of your tans. So I said ok knowing that it was complete bs and that if you get a bronze tan which is what I paid for it shows up instantly. So the next day of course nothing happened I went back in there and showed her and she said wow your right I talked to the owner and she said maybe it was out of solution so I will let her know that it didn’t work and you will get that one credited back.
So my second and third and fourth tanning experience were not much better each time the girls up front knew nothing they were no help and my tans came out blotchy looking and faded within 2 days and they looked horrible. Each time I would ask them if my account had been credited back for the first tan only to be told that there were no notes in the computer but they would look into it and take care of it. So I came back one last time to get what I paid for and the girl which happened to be the same girl who was there for the tan that didn’t show up and she said hi and asked me if I got my tan that didn’t work credited back to my account and I said I don’t know because each time nobody knows anything about it and I’m told that they will take care of it so she pulls up my account and it still hadn’t been credited so she gets on the phone with who I’m assuming is the owner and they start talking and she gets off the phone and says my boss said that there’s no guarantee that a spray tan will work and you could’ve had lotion on or something preventing it from working so she’s not going to credit it back. I have been tanning for years before I go tan I shower and shave and exfoliate my skin abs put on no lotions or make up and do exactly what you are supposed to do. I have never once had a tan not show up anywhere else or never have I not been happy with my results after tanning so I know it was no fault of my own. They are using cheap solution or something is wrong with their machine. What happened to customer service. I spray tan all year round and spend a good amount of money to be tan and I will never spend a dime at this place ever again and I will drive all the way across town to get what I pay for and where the employees actually are trained.

Great place to tan! Clean, friendly and great options that should fit any tanner’s needs. Highly recommended!

So happy I found this salon ! Very clean, and the sunless tan is the perfect color and goes on even. Very knowledgeable staff. I would highly recommend.

Love this place! Everyone that works here is really nice and helpful. Always a good experience.
