On a hot day, this is the place to go. HotDogs and Ice thinggys. I do get confused on the direction we are supposed to drive, took me a couple times to think about it.

We’ve been waiting 20 minutes and still no food. Hard to believe it takes this long to make a shake.

It’s rare to pull, in order food and actually get everything we ordered. Either the food delivered isn’t what asked for, they forgot the sauces, or the drinks are mixed wrong. Happy hour is the only redeeming quality, who can argue with half priced drinks.

I was so happy to hear we were getting Sonic up here a few years back or whenever it happened. I use to visit them in NM on trips. Well I’ve been there 3 times since it has opened and I’m not impressed with this one. The food is just better down south!

I tried to go here for one of their sonicblasts however the service was so incredibly slow that I didn’t even get to place my order! When I was pulling away I did notice that two other cars that came behind me were also leaving. I’m assuming they got sick of waiting to order too. I also heard a vehicle honk and waive at the server who continued to walk to the wrong car. Not sure that I have enough time to waste just to place and order but if I do happen to brave it or get hungry enough that this is the only place open I’ll be sure to rate the food.

OK, I look at this place and all I can think is «Breaking bad… they are cooking meth in back»! Now this has more to do with the fact that the place has no indoor area, no windows and is a drive up! We’ll that and it’s north of 694 and the food! I took my daughter here for a treat the day before her birthday. I’ve been watching the adds during basketball games on TBS for years now and figured why not try it. Well now I can think of a couple of reasons. To be fair, all that we ordered were a couple of hotdogs but I would be willing to bet mine was cooked in a microwave, tasted just like my mom used to make back in the early 80’s in the new Panasonic Microwave oven! It did have an OK chili on it and some good old fashioned processed cheese, add a pretzel bun and it would have been better at 2am after too many beers(although it is a Drive-in so I can not condone that action). I also ordered tater-tots, they were from a bag, nothing to write home about but not horrible I will leave this to some special occasion or the mid-life crisis where I try crack /meth for the first time(mom, don’t email, I’m kidding). My daughter loved the pineapple freezy thing which is crack for kids! KT

When Sonics started to pop up around here, people went bat-shit crazy. It’s amazing how these things can take on a life of their own. Having live din other locales with Sonic, I’d remembered it as being better than it is. Yes, the burgers are decent(but I’d take Culvers over Sonic any day of the week). The onion rings are okay. The one thing that can’t be beat are those damn cherry limeades. I’m addicted to those things; thankfully they have a «light» version. EDIT: Changed from 3 stars to 2. The last 3 or 4 times in a row we’ve been there they have screwed up out order. This is especially funny since they read it all back to you, so how the hell does that happen?! One example: On the way up north this summer I ordered a sweet tea and was given unsweetened. Rather than listen to me complain my husband rolled back through the drive-thu where I asked if they had Splenda. The girl working help up some pink packets(Sweet & Low) and said, «I’ve got this kind of sugar.» Um, yeah, artificial sweeteners aren’t sugar. Anyway, I said, «Nevermind, just give me regular sugar.» Blank stare. Then again, «I’ve got _this_kind of sugar…» and phrased it as a question. It was at that moment we realized she didn’t know the difference between actual sugar and substitutes. Sure, it doesn’t take a degree a nuclear fusion to work at Sonic, but seriously?
