Just came from the Hall of Hero’s museum! Definitely worth the trip if you are into Marvel memorabilia! Would definitely recommend going largest collection I have ever seen!

It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s the Hall of a Heroes! For a couple of comic geeks, this place was our Mecca. We drove an hour to see the collection(after having called ahead as suggested) and spent at least an hour looking at everything. Yes, the HOH is in someone’s backyard(and is probably why you need to make an appointment– the guy has a day job), but it’s so worth it. There are 55,000 comic books there. 55,000. Pretty much very comic you could ever want, toys from 50 years ago through today, cups, costumes, etc. My only suggestion(it’s not a complaint!) is that while the collection is showcased as well as possible, I wish there were more shelves and areas to spread the items out– there were some things I wanted to be able to stare at more closely, but couldn’t because there were many items grouped together. However, I loved how the items were grouped– all batman together, xmen, etc. I was so excited to go to HOH and was impressed and so extremely happy with our time there.

Not bad. Mainly action figures and memorabilia. A great collection. Please note, though, that this is a collection and has little interaction or history. My husband is very knowledgeable in comics and super heroes, so he explained a lot to me as we went through. If you know your stuff, I’m sure it is great.

It’s annoying that it’s only open by appointment, but if you can get around that, it’s a very cool experience and exceptionally affordable. The people in our group who weren’t really into superhero stories appeared to have a surprisingly good time(although they were initially skeptical).

The first thing you need to know is, this place is awesome. If you want to visit this awesome place, you will have to call to make an appointment. I was visiting the area for a family reunion and just a few hours before we wanted to visit, we were able to get in contact with the owner and make an appointment. It wasn’t very difficult at all. It is also super inexpensive. 5 bucks for adults, 3 dollars for kids. When you first drive up, the two story garage that is the museum is made to look like the Hall of Justice. Don’t think of it as a typical museum with very intricate displays in cabinets with backlighting. This is just an awesome personal collection on display for the public to enjoy. The first floor has many really cool Batman memorabilia including a bat pole, the bat phone, a bat utility belt and a batarang. There is a 2nd floor with a real and working X Men arcade game. There are items from both DC and Marvel comics. You can see many comic books on display in cases as well as in boxes. The owner also wrote some of his own comics and will sign them for you if you purchase one. It’s definitely not an all day activity, I think our visit took about 45 minutes or so. But it’s fun and worth it if you are in the area.
