Holi Cannoli

Love this place! Hands down, THE BEST place in Elkhorn and surrounding area. The staff is cordial, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming and the food is fabulous! Have had the mussels, lamb shank, veal shank, fish specials, homemade raviolis, NY steak and the famous Cannolli Chicken. All have been expertly cooked and beautifully seasoned. You must save room for the cannoli dip dessert: a martini glass brimming with cannoli filling and served with chocolate dipped and regular pastry chips dusted with powdered sugar. Yum! Where ever you live you should make the drive and come try this place.

Not worth the drive. The bar was crowed but there was a few tables empty around us. We are locals who enjoy good food and good company. There were four of us and we didn’t mind the noise. There was a lady who was pretty obnoxious. We were trying to eat and talk and she kept coming to our table to make conversation, which was fine, but she was talking to us and dancing at the same time and that was annoying. The food was ok nothing to say it was worth the drive and their bad attitude. I have had much better food and friendlier service. There are better restaurants in Lake Geneva that I would recommend. The chicken was overdone and the lasagna lacked sauce and taste. The pizza was good, the kids really liked it. But the dipping sauce was nothing special. It is not a friendly place to bring the kids. We should have known better as we came thru the door and stood there for 10 minutes before someone acknowledged us from behind the bar. A little rough, I don’t know, maybe it was the kids. Now that I have read the other reviews, we should have walked out. I have never been to an Italian restaurant that does not welcome kids. The worst part was the service. It was slow and scarce as we sat there with our dirty dishes for a long time. It was not by any means anything that reminded me of old Italian. If anything the place was dark and outdated. We are not be coming back.

Hey Sean M. You weren’t even there. I was. Your fiancé and her friends were drunk and extremely obnoxious. The bartender and staff handled themselves well despite the cursing tirade they unleashed when asked to behave themselves.

Local guy with girlfriend. Both like wine and eating at bar. Not a problem if busy. Yes the lady of the house is Italian and rules but just give her a hug and she is fine. Go there and always busy. Everything is great. If not, she will make if you are reasonable with request. They have their style pizza so enjoy the difference. Saw comments about kids, but I think it is because it is a small place with tables close together. If the kids are fine I am good with a few tears during the meal. Got to love the kids; they will pay your social security! Back to place; go their about four times a year and more if coming back from something and have a glass of wine or two and something light. Again, they are busy for a reason.

My fiancée and a large group went here today after a fashion show in Lake Geneva. Suffice it to say, the visit here was going to be memorable. They went specifically for drinks and appetizers the whole time. To get the attention of a bartender, a woman in the group whistled. She was scolded by the bartender for doing so in a ‚“Classy establishment.” Then the owner promptly cut the whole party off. This kind of treatment after running up a $ 700 bill? Inexcusable.

Very poor customer service. Went in and asked for separate checks and the waitress was very rude about it and made us all feel very stupid. Will not be back.

We came here a few weeks ago. The 4 of us foodies wanted to get a real feel for the place. So we ordered a bunch of different things to share. A few of the notable appetizers were grilled calamari, and stuffed mushroom caps. Both very good. We also tried a pizza which was also very good. We also tried a few entrees which were eggplant parmesian and chicken vesuvio. Both were excellent. The drinks were also well made. And everything was very reasonably priced. The service was very good as well. There was a reason this place was packed. The quality and the price point with everything combined was excellent. Ya gotta give it a whirl Pearl!

My husband I decided to try this place one night after work, and brought our two children along. We were made to feel unwelcome for having kids with us. The hostess asked if we would like two menus and I was a little perplexed because there were four in our party. I asked if they had a kids menu and she said no, just «gourmet pasta.» We should have turned around and left but I didn’t want to judge the place on this one person’s attitude.
The parking lot was packed because the bar was full. We were the only people in the dining room when we arrived. When another party was sat behind us the hostess told them she could move them to another table if they wished.
The reason I gave this restaurant three stars is because the food was actually good. The servers and hostess should learn to welcome all guests. If we brought our children with us it is because a) we can afford it and b) we want to expose them to nicer restaurants. I would not return based on the service.

This has to be easily one the THE BEST restaurants I have ever enjoyed!!! You can tell they put their heart into their cooking! Old school, fresh and fantastic!!! So glad we went and I look forward to our next visit already! The giardiniera is awesome! Took a bottle home! Bravo Holi Cannoli! Dr. Joe
