Cute little ice cream parlor. VERY inexpensive and VERY good. Generous amounts given every time. Haven’t tried their goodies yet and that will be next on my list when I visit.

A local gem! Really cute shop with delicious ice cream, loads of flavors, and a great staff. It’s super clean inside and has a nice little area out front with chairs/tables as well.

What an amazing little ice cream shop! 32 flavors of ice cream with your choice of 17 different cones. My little Cinnamon Swirl kids cone packed more punch than many cones from other places charging twice as much. This place is the best. You have to try it.(I wonder if they could do crushed Nilla wafers. It’d be great as a topping on the cinnamon swirl cone.

Shop small. Great ice cream. Not homemade, but none-the-less awesome. Staff is very friendly.

Excellent ice cream, nice space, and super-friendly staff — seems like a family-run place. It’s the kind of neighborhood establishment you feel good about frequenting and supporting.

Five stars all the way. A huuuuuge variety of flavors(see my photo), and a very generous heap per order. I’m a grown-up and I still find the kids size to be plentiful. The interior has that 1950’s parlor look and feel, which is inviting and cool. There’s only a few tables and chairs inside, but come summer time, you’ll want to eat outside on their porch. I’m not one to particularly crave ice cream, but their banana peanut butter chocolate chip is fabulous and the mention of ice cream has me thinking about it. If you’re a coffee lover like me, Espresso Explosion is the flavor you have to try, which used to be my favorite before the banana one. Come here anytime of the year and prepare to have your outlook of ice cream changed forever!

Great ice cream!!! Not a super crowded place. You can get your ice cream and sit outside. Parking is good. I usually like getting the same thing when I go to an ice cream parlor but here I actually try a new flavor each time I come. I love it.

This place is such a gem. I admit I’ve gotten the same flavor each time I’ve come here(Coconut Almondjoy is where it’s at) but I’ve sampled several others and I really don’t think you can go wrong with any of their ice cream flavors. I love how they change up the decorations from time to time and they are always more than happy to let us sample! I’ve never had trouble finding parking. They do share a small parking lot with a pizza place, but from what I remember that pizza parlor is take out only(or they have rather limited seating) so I don’t think parking should be an issue. It seems they are pet friendly as well so there is no excuse not to stop by this place!

Sprinkles has new owners and they’re wonderful! I take my son in for an occasional treat and we are always welcomed warmly! The family that now owns this adorable ice cream parlor keeps the place in pristine condition. It’s very clean and that means a lot to me. Prices are very fair-you get a good amount of ice cream for what you pay! The variety of flavors is impressive and the quality of the ice cream is great – it’s delicious!

Best ice cream I’ve had since The Creamery at Penn State. Forget all the ice creams you will find at your local grocery store. Make a trip to Sprinkles. Your belly will thank you.

What a great find! Old-fashioned service with a smile in a warm, inviting atmosphere. Great to share a cone and conversation. Delicious flavors and unique handmade cones. Very clean. Definitely a destination I will return to when in Elkins Park!

I’ve been coming here since I was in highschool(7+ years ago) and it is my favorite ice cream shop. The décor inside is always changing depending on the season/holiday and the ice cream selection is quite large. I tried their pumpkin ice cream a few weeks ago and it was SODELICIOUS. I wish they had it year-round. My usual flavor of choice is Pistachio, yummm. Also, CASHONLY!

SKIPTHESOFTSERVE! My husband and I were craving soft serve, but didn’t feel like driving to our favorite place in Roxborough. Went in, ordered 2 regular vanilla cones with rainbow jimmies. The ice cream was barely an inch above the top of my ‘regular’ cone. The lady splashed a few spoonfuls of jimmies on them and we left a little confused. We tasted the ice cream outside– horrible. Full of ice chips. No flavor at all. Went right in the trash.

I was checking out Salus University for a couple days and my wife and I were craving ice cream. I Unilocaled this gem just down the street from the university. The staff was friendly and kind. It is cash only which I didn’t know so the cashier said«it’s ok, go ahead and enjoy your ice cream and you can bring us $ 8 for your two ice creams later. today or tomorrow.» I was blown away. This is the type of ma and pop shop I love. Instead, I just ran across the street to the bar to use their local atm. No big deal. The ice cream was delicous. I had butter pecan. I can definitely see myself coming here with my whole family every week if I was to move here.

Nice place for a sweet summer treat! Sprinkles has a wide variety of flavors to choose from and $ 4.50 gets you two scoops, 2 toppings, whipcream and a cherry. The serving was large and the girl who took my order put a TON of toppings on my sundae… no complaints here! Also ordered a ‘kid size’ sundae which was cheaper but just as big as the adult size– he also didnt have any complaints. Also — dont be fooled by the sauce next to the fudge labeled«peanut butter». its empty. i ordered it for my sundae and was told«we dont have any peanut butter.» Why? because«noone orders it». Hmmmm. I’m pretty sure that’s what I just did. In any event– this place has limited parking(shared lot with a pizza joint) and some outside seating. Also, its CASH only. Sprinkles, you need to put some conspicuous signs up notifying customers. One of my biggest pet peeves.

This place is adorable and the ice cream is excellent! The prices were extremely reasonable and they give you a big serving. The only down side is that there isn’t much parking. My dad had to drop me and my sister off so we could go in, but it was worth it!

I used to love this place until I realized sprinkles and alot of other parlors in the area use the same ice cream. I thought to myself so let me get this straight, all i am paying for is the different environment, service, and location? I don’t understand why people are afraid to think outside of the box? I do like the ambience but when you realize it’s the same exact product it downgrades everything else. I am not a picky customer I am just asking for a little more variety and consideration. Variety is what keeps us humans happy whether you realize it or not.

I really liked this place until I read the reviews and noticed they do serve milkshakes. We went here yesterday and the girl at the counter stated they couldn’t serve us a milkshake because they didn’t have milk. Seriously??! My suspicion is that she couldn’t be bothered by the task. Strike one. Secondly, she refused to serve me mint chocolate chip because the ice cream bin was new and it was too hard to scoop. Seriously??? Strike two. Lastly, the place was sweltering hot. I don’t know how anyone could enjoy an ice cream in that room. Luckily a few seats were available outside at the time. Strike three. Sadly, the ice cream was pretty good, but I will not be returning because of the experience.

Decent, reasonably priced neighborhood ice cream parlor. Some outdoor seating, couple of table inside. No sign on the outside, so easy to miss. Next door to a deli, across from a tattoo shop. Ice cream comes primarily from Nelson’s — Local, traditionally made ice cream with high butterfat — so delicious favors like chocolate raspberry or cotton candy really shine. Service is quick and efficient, and most of the time it’s fairly clean; lots of jimmies on the floor just means lots of kids have come through — the servings are generous, jimmies have a habit of falling off in wee hands… Not closed!
