A couple of business associates and I ate here while in town for a business meeting. It was a snowy night so there was not much to do in Elkins. I ordered an enchilada with chicken. it was ok. i am not very picky with my food. Looked like the person that met us at the door was the cook and the waiter. Now that is what I consider the best was to keep your staff costs down! It could use some updating inside. If you want Mexican Food in Elkins, this is the(only) place.

The food tasted fine and didn’t make me hurt(if there is even the slightest thing off about food, I’m running for the bathroom… I know, TMI). But the service was pretty abysmal, the waiter seemed to be the young son of another staff member, his shirt with the quote«Cool story babe… now make me a sandwich» was not well received. I will however say it seemed like his mother(?) basically left him to tend to all of the customers while she seemed to be doing something else at a back table. But as someone who’s spent some time in Mexico the experience is pretty… authentic

Food was OK. Service was lacking and cleanliness/general building condition left a lot to be desired. I won’t be going back.

Been eating at Humberto’s since it opened. They offer the standard strip mall version of «authentic Mexican cuisine» found in almost every town in the USA. Not too spicy, nothing extravagant. The jumbo margaritas are indeed served in brandy snifters, but they are consistently good, jumbo, and cheap. Less than stellar are the fajitas(not grilled) and the ground beef filling(bland). Recommended are the Pollo Osin, and the chicken enchiladas. Service is excellent. Décor is sparse. Prices are reasonable.

Well, if you’re in Elkins and want Mexican food, this is the only option. Let me put it this way… my jumbo margarita was served in a brandy snifter. The food is edible. Not very good, very little spice and very oily. The cheese dip tasted like a paste of flour and water. The salsa is definitely not made on site. But, it’s a mexican restaurant in Elkins, WV; what more do you expect?
