I really like this place and it’s a staple for lunches with one of my friends. The food is good and the restaurant is clean. It can be hit or miss(example, lunch rush means food is super fresh, but they may run of things periodically, so if you only have a limited lunch time this can suck, if you come at off peak hours there’s usually plenty of food and it isn’t gross or anything, but you can tell it’s not fresh). Could use a little more variety, but good meat and veg options, fantastic low mein, and I love the egg rolls. Pricing is very fair and service has always been efficient and friendly.

New China Cook has a very nice buffet — lots of choices from shrimp dishes to chicken, soups, appetizers, dessert including hand dipped ice cream.

Elkins or not, this place has excellent Chinese take-out. The chicken on the stick was especially very savory. Everything was very good and the meal was quite affordable at $ 8.75. Picked up some Guinness at the Speedway and dined like a champion. I recommend it. New China Cook does not accept Amex.

It’s a typical Chinese buffet and since I have only been to one other buffet in Elkins, that is the standard. I honestly like this one better. It has more options and also some very basic(American) sushi — california roll, philadelphia-ish roll. No sashimi or anything, but it’s ok. I didn’t get dessert, I’d rather fill up on the food. If you waited a bit, fresh portions came out and that was nice.

Super good Chinese food at a very reasonable price, sushi and hand scooped ice cream for dessert!
