Great food experience traveling through Elko. Thank you Unilocal.I’m a Phoenix native and husband is a Southern CA native. Have both lived in Denver for years and can’t get this kind of food there. 3 in our group ordered burritos and I ordered a taco and tostada(gluten allergy so can’t have the flour tortilla). Mine were very good, they all pronounced their burritos to be amazing. Husband was wishing he had room for another carne asada burrito but was too full after one. Some are commenting in Unilocal reviews that the food is bland. To us, these are the flavors we grew up on. If you are looking for Americanized, overly sauced and mask all flavors with hot sauce, then this probably isn’t the best choice. Plain interior but that is ok by us. Bring this place to Denver!

Bland, especially in a state where many people expect more and do better.

$ 5.80 out the door for a very good shredded beef burrito … a little bland as others have said but ok for me … guessing you could add some available sauce to spice it up for your own preferences. Fast friendly and clean … will repeat when in area.

Food was pretty bland here. It was not horrible but it was not great either. I probably won’t ever need to stop here again.

Doesn’t look like much from the outside, but what delicious Mexican food. It was so good we ordered more as take out for our long drive. Very clean. Friendly staff. Family friendly. casual. Nice bottled Mexican beer, tamal, enchilada, burrito with shredded beef. A great find on our travels through Elko.

Amazing flour tortillas! Easy and fast. The burritos are very plain; ordered a bean and cheese burrito and there wasn’t anything else in it, but it was very filling! The hot sauce was not hot at all, bring your own hot sauce and you’re good to go!

Lunch stop on a road trip. Good burritos, homemade tortillas, and breakfast all day. We’d stop in again.

Had the jalapeño poppers and a carne burrito… The burrito was good, not greasy, lots of meat, but nothing else but meat… The poppers are also OK. I ordered cheddar poppers, but don’t think I got cheddar. Not a bad place to eat, but OK.

A must stop for anyone who loves burritos! Bean and Cheese is the classic must have for me when I come back from my travels around the country, we joke that they make their tortillas with crack because it’s so addicting!

Good quality, homemade mexican food that tastes good at a good price in a small town where the options are limited … sounds like a winner to me. Now please do not get my opening statement wrong, when I said«in a small town where options are limited» I was not implying that this place would not do well in a larger town with more options … nope, not at all. I live in Slat Lake City where it is hard to come by good fast food mexican, if there was a 9 Bean in Slat Lake it would probably be my favorite, go to place. The tacos are good, the burritos are better, you can get ground beef or shredded beef, both of which are very flavorful. The rice and beans are authentic and tasty and they have Tator Tots or even better yet, Cheese Tator Tots. If you are craving fast food mexican go to 9 Beans and a Burrito, you will enjoy or I will refund your time for reading this review :) Until next time Unilocalers remember, whenever you can … Be Local, Live Local, Buy Local.

SO… there were two chicken burrito options. Chicken and rice or just a plain chicken. Since the chicken only option was more expensive, I figured it would have more in it(rice, beans, salsa, cheese, etc.). I was sorely disappointed when I opened my foil package to find a medium sized burrito. All that was in the burrito – chicken. Nothing else. I was extremely upset because I think burritos should be juicy and filled with fillings! Nevertheless, I won’t be going back there.

Great, cheap Mexican food. The carne asada was well-seasoned and the bean & cheese burritos are awesome. The beans were very flavorful and they use authentic queso fresco(white crumbly cheese, not the shredded orange stuff) in the burritos. They also serve breakfast burritos all day. The machaca and egg burrito was decent. The egg-to-meat ratio was a little more toward the egg but the flavor was good.

We ate here tonight & it was fine. nice, clean, authentic place. i had been/cheese burrito — bland(it was beans & cheese, right?) but the salsa was good & spiced up the burrito. my husband had chicken enchilada(small but tasty) and a tamale which was very good — meaty! not sure we would return here — cimarron restaurant actually looked pretty good from the road & would probably try that next time.

A decent little taqueria(fast-casual Mexican food joint). A la carte items are reasonably cheap, platters are more expensive. The menu was confusing about what the difference between these was. The staff seemed confused, too, about how to fill an order accurately. Food quality definitely a cut above fast food.

2.5 stars Pluses: –Incredibly tasty flour tortillas. As I usually don’t like flour tortillas, that’s high praise. –Fast casual atmosphere & price. –Quick food. –Lots of cheese in the quesadilla. Minuses: –They didn’t cut the quesadilla at all. –That would have been fine, but all the cheese was at the bottom. I had to cut off at least a quarter of the shell to get to the cheese. –Mediocre chips, slightly worse than taqueria style salsas, and overly citrus guacamole. –Servers who can’t read orders & need to be reminded multiple times to provide ordered food. –Pepsi products.

The Colorado chicken special was absolutely delicious. This place is perfect little stop on a long road trip because the food is fast and cheap, but good and such a higher quality than the other fast food places around.
