Hey all I-80 travelers, stop here! Drive right by the stupid McDonalds at the interstate exit and come here instead. The paninis are scrumptious, the ciabatta bread is fresh and the ingredients are all fresh. Plus they have basque specialty sandwiches. That means chorizo in the sandwich with garlic mayo and piperade. Yum. The homey local atmosphere will give all you weary road-trippers a much needed lift. Seriously, this is my new go-to stop in Elko.

Wonderful food, the daily specials always are the best. Last week I had their wrap special if a spinach wrap, with fresh roasted turkey, cream cheese, fresh cranberry sauce, sunflower seeds and mixed greens. It was amazing as all their food is.

Customer Service was wonderful! The ladies were all so nice, it’s amazing how a positive attitude can make your day! And then the food was DELICIOUS! Everything was fresh and the flavors were great, everything on the menu looked good. It was my first meal there today but my husband goes often and he says the experience and the food is always good. Enjoy!

Stopped here for lunch on a girl’s road trip to Denver from the Lake Tahoe area. DEFINITELYRECOMMEND! Huge, yummy sandwiches, lots of variety, and a friendly staff. I had a Basque sandwich — Solomo Sandwich — marinated pork loin, piperade, roasted garlic mayonnaise and Basque style cheese — served on a fresh French roll. Boy, was it good! My friend had a Deli Club — turkey, bacon, lettuce, tomato and mayonnaise — and she enjoyed it, too. Good to know such a place exists in Elko.

We stopped in on our way passing through Elko. No one there, so we were worried. But it was only 11:30. As soon as we ordered a crow came in behind us. And for good reason. The service was great and super friendly. And the food excellent. We had the chicken grape salad, the pork special sandwich. Highly recommend. I’d give it 4.5 stars if I could.

We found this gem on Unilocal while driving from Salt Lake to Reno. Our family of four was very pleased. It’s worth the three minute drive from the highway. The staff was super helpful and friendly. You won’t be disappointed!

Driving west from Salt Lake City, we stopped at this cute deli in Elko and got even more than expected. The food itself is just fresh, standard deli fare, but the service and care put into the place was obvious. Staff were very friendly, and the space was filled with little signs of effort and small town warmth, like a weekly themed special(this week is «Paris» with croque monsieurs, French dip, and a Roquefort salad). If you’re also crossing the desert, it’s certainly worth the stop in Elko. The old timey casino signs on the way out of town are also a little extra personality before the open space of I80.

Straightforward deli menu, full of locals, friendly and helpful staff. Stick to deli classics and go for the white or wheat bread since it’s baked daily and is pretty good. Sandwiches are decent, exactly what you expect, but considering your options for over a hundred miles in any direction, this is a good choice. We got roast beef on white and turkey on white with standard toppings. The chocolate chip cookie was one of the best I’ve had — gooey and delicious!

Traveling from Oakland to Chicago and ended up in Elko at lunch time. Unilocaled places to eat and this place came up. Wow! All of the reviews are spot on. The sandwiches were delicious and the staff extremely friendly. Great place and experience!

Stopped here on the way back to Sacramento to grab a quick bite. Two ladies behind the counter greeted us and were friendly and super helpful. They didn’t mind that we took awhile to order. I ordered the horseradish beef panini and my dad and uncle both had the french dip. We were all satisfied with our sandwiches commenting that it was better than eating at the subway down the street. I would have to agree with another reviewer that the sandwiches were great but nothing amazing or mindblowing. Definitely did the trick for a quick bite to eat and to get back on the road. Service was fast and seating was plentiful. Bathrooms were clean and tidy. Parking was easy. I would come back here if I stopped in Elko again on my travels.

Traveling this past week through Elko wanted to find a good sandwich and not any chain place… this was legitimately a great sandwich. The service was a little slow getting our food but the final outcome was worth it. I tried the chicken and blue cheese sandwich with green apples. Great flavor all the way around and worth be worth trying for another trip… the prices for 2 sandwiches I thought where kind of high for a town like Elko, but still an all around great experience.

In a nut shell: DEFINITELYRECOMMEND! Yummy sandwiches, lots of variety, and friendly staff. Details: I love this place! We were driving through NV from MN to CA and tired of road food. We found this place using Unilocal and were a bit cautious since my traveling partner is vegetarian. Also… small towns can be… scary. This place was awesome! Lots of veggie options and friendly, sweet employees who offered suggestions and even went in the back to find whole dill pickles for us! The food was good — hearty sandwiches and options for French fries, chips, or pasta salad. Nothing fancy but filling and yummy. The place is clean and quaintly decorated. The bathroom was clean(thank God!) and comfortable. If I ever happen to be driving through Elko again, I will most certainly stop!

Fantastic place. Tuscan chicken sandwich and potato, sun– dried tomato and bacon soup all great. Excellent customer service and noted they spent time cleaning the chairs and tables thoroughly while it was slow.

When we got there the two women working behind the counter just looked at us and went on back to work. No greeting. They both seemed like they hated being there. We got two 12inch sandwiches. A 6inch and one drink. It came out to $ 26. The women(a different one) that rang us up seemed to be in a much better mood then the other two. The sandwiches were very good. I would eat there again. Hope to hit it on a day when everyone is in a good mood.

Just ok. They have a diverse menu with lots of options. I was slightly disappointed that my muffuletta that I ordered was pre-made, microwaved to heat it up, then panini grilled. The baked fries sounded good but were just average… not homemade — seemingly frozen from the supermarket or something. Nice people though, and I would still choose it over chains any day when pulling through Elko Nevada.

Average sandwich place. Nice menu, good prices, alright service, decent sandwich but nothing mind blowing. The panini press didn’t look super clean and I wasn’t jazzed about the sad, pre-cooked bacon sitting around. The interior is a little beat, definitely needs some modernizing.

What a refreshing pit stop! We stopped here on day four of our road trip across the US, and this was by far the best on-the-road lunch we had. After eating gas station snacks and mediocre fast food, it was nice to get a creative sandwich. I had a Peachy Keen Dipper, which came with turkey, sprouts, havarti, spinach and dijon mustard on grilled ciabatta bread with peach compote on the side for dipping — absolutely delicious. I was also pleased to find that I could get vegetables as a side as opposed to the onslaught of fries in my previous days on the road. Everything was fresh — two thumbs up. This restaurant has a ton of choices, and they’re all unique. If I were nearby, I would definitely go back to try something new. If you happen to be driving through Elko, NV and need something more interesting for your tastebuds, stop here.
