The hotel was really nice but the staff was over the top. All three shifts were awesome. Super friendly & helpful. Such a nice & refreshing change. Thank you.

Worth it! I will not stay anywhere else when in Elko. I had booked at High desert inn, it was terrible! I spent one night there, checked out the next morning and moved to Town Country!!! A bit more but way worth the $$.

Have you ever gotten that free upgraded room? Where instead of the«garden view» you got the«Ocean View»? When you got that upgrade were you high fiving your friends or even yourself internally? «Score!!!» Well that’s exactly how I felt when I moved from one(unnamed) hotel to the TownePlace Suites by Marriot. First off the front office staff is amazing… so amazing that I am thinking of sneaking into their back office and stealing their coffee or whatever they are drinking that makes them so darn cheerful and helpful. You wouldn’t think this kind of service could be had in little ol out in the middle of nowhere Nevada like Elko. Jolene and Matt and all of the staff I have encountered so far have been very helpful, friendly and accommodating. The rooms are top notch for someone staying more than just a night or two. It’s been great being able to chill in a home away from home. Can’t have everything be all bubbly and perfect. The parking design isn’t the best No steps coming up from lower parking areas. Parking is tight if you have a vehicle that isn’t a normal sized car and the parking spots might be a little crowded. They are adding some hot items to there continental breakfast. Sounds good, not sure if I am gonna be here when it rolls out or not. But for now it’s all carb based breakfasts and the only protein is hard boiled eggs… perfectly cooked I might add. I haven’t hit up the gym or used the BBQ outside yet… but it looks promising!

Great staff make this hotel a welcome place to stay in an oasis of a town. Add to that the swimming pool and free breakfast, and it’s a winner. We stayed one night while passing through from Yellowstone to Lake Tahoe. The staff, every single one, including the manager, Matt, couldn’t have made us feel more welcome. I would definitely choose TownePlace Suites in Elko again.

I’ve stayed in 4 and 5 star hotels in some of the worlds biggest cities. I’ve never had better customer service in any place than here. I’ve traveled to elko a few times and always stayed here. The staff is great, the rooms are clean and comfy. This is a 4 star hotel in a small town. Stay here or just drive on to reno or SLC

This hotel is in East Elko, part of a whole new part of town. The rooms are spacious and very clean. Even being next to the elevator on the 4th floor was still quiet. Breakfast is served starting at 4:30am. Turns out that there are a lot of the people that work at the mine that are not able to find permenent housing. They are currently living in the hotel for months at a time. Needless to say the parking lot is full, but the building was quiet in the morning. What did I learn today? It takes 130 tons of dirt to find 1 ounce of gold!

I am forced to stay in Elko at times when driving between California and our home in Colorado. Elko is not the place you look forward to stopping at, trust me! But this hotel almost makes you forget where you are! The shower is great, beds are comfy, bedding is great, Paul Mitchell bath products, very clean and a nice modern décor. I had a full kitchen with brand new, full size stainless appliances. I had no use for it but was very impressed. I like the location, as it’s up the hill a bit and away from the dreaded«strip». The hotel is very quiet and serene. It was like 12 degrees when I visited but they appear to have a superbly cool outdoor area with a fire pit, huge bbque and lovely benches. Con: the breakfast is pretty lame. I only needed coffee so I didn’t care but be advised. Of course, its Nevada and in a gaming town you can always get a $ 3.99 breakfast somewhere! Will never stay anywhere else when having to be in dreaded Elko.

We were driving from California to Yellowstone and Elko was the halfway point. We decided to stay in Jackpot NV on the way up. That was a mistake, so we looked for a hotel in Elko and stayed here on the way back. Wow I am impressed. It was clean and had a full kitchen with dishes and a dishwasher. The staff was great. It was also listed as a non-smoking hotel which we love. I saw a few folks smoking next to the side entrance which was hard to get past without a cloud of smoke attacking us, but I guess it is better than in the hotel. Not a good hotel for those that like to smoke. Sorry, plenty of filthy hotels by the casinos.
