It’s a bit expensive at almost $ 15 per sandwich, but you get a TON of lobster meat, probably way more than I could ever extract from one lobster plus you don’t end up with lobster juices all over your hands for the rest of the day. Super tasty but definitely a «treat yo self» delicacy — I was still kind of hungry after I left to be honest(they do throw in chips for the price though) Service was friendly, and the location is super-convenient(right across from the entrance to Massanutten Resort). It’s definitely worth checking out if you feel like splurging.

Everything we ordered was amazing! It’s very convenient when you stay close to Massanutten resort. We tried their Philly lobster roll. You can describe it as a Philly steak and cheese but instead of steak you getting lobster. We tried the lobster grill cheese which was also phenomenal. Everything was on point! 5 star for sure.

Hands down the best lobster roll I’ve had in years. I love the touch of Maine, the lobster bisque, imported root beer, and soda. My brother used to work on a fishing boat in Delaware before he passed away. Whenever I would go visit him we would go for lobster rolls. This brought back some memories and it allowed me to relive that moment with my family. Thank you!

Everything you read is true. Low-key place with well-prepared food. We had the lobsta rolls, lobster bisque, grilled cheese, and the amazing fair trade sodas(orange and root beer). The lobster was lightly dressed(like it should be) and the roll was full of large, juicy chunks of lobster. Nice to know such a remote spot can get food sourced fresh from the northeast. Delish!

My summer search for the best lobster roll in the DMV and Unilocal extraordinaire Richard R.‘s detailed review led me to Lobsta Rollin while vacationing at the Massanutten resort. There’s signage to help you navigate to this small restaurant in the rear of the Village of the Valley complex. I ordered the original lobster roll meal which came with Cape Cod chips and a Maine root Blueberry soda. That lobster meat was so succulent and savory and nestled in a buttery toasty roll. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. I dined in the adorable outside seating area and chopped it up with others enjoying the weather. I became so relaxed and didn’t want to leave. The owner Shane came outside to share his story. He was really personable and genuinely interested in my feedback. I ordered the Marley lobster roll to go and it was fantastic as well. The jerk special seasoning didn’t overpower the sweet lobster meat, it enhanced it. The heat builds so make sure you have water. +Shane, please bring that food truck to DC!!!

Never have seen so much lobster in a roll, taco and between bread. Cute little shop with great service.

Definitely a diamond in the rough of Massanutten Resort food options! Just right outside of the resort entrance you won’t be sorry you have stopped here for a bite to eat. Started my meal with a tasty clam chowder. Mixed with chunks of potatoes, celery, and clams, the seasoning is just right on this one. $ 13 lobster roll is unheard of since the same size one in DC is easily $ 20 each! Comes with the classic buttery split roll that u can really only get in the city Boston itself. Thanks for the great lunch!

If you’re looking to transport yourself to the coast of New England, sink your teeth into this little gem. Don’t feel guilty when you find yourself going back for seconds, cause these rolls are worth every penny of your hard earned money. Being from Miami, where lobster is plentiful, I can tell you, I’ve never had lobster rolls as good as these. This is my must go to spot when in town visiting my friend. I can’t help myself from ordering the Authentic Lobster Roll every time. The buttery and crispy roll combined with the tart and sweet meat is heavenly. On my last visit I saw a new addition, The Bob Marley, a Jamaican Jerk infused roll, which kicks you like Bruce Lee and leaves you feeling like everything irie. So, when visiting Massanutten, take a break from skiing or hiking and from all the mediocre BBQ and burger joints, make the drive down and pay a visit to Shane Bell, the owner and his cozy little spot that is truly a diamond in the rough.

Its a WINNER. Don’t leave Mass Resort without passing by LOBSTAROLLIN and get the Lobster Roll. Guaranteed no extender and filler. Taste awesome and really at par. Wednesday Special: $ 8.50 Staff are friendly and will help you decide what sandwich to get. I will definitely recommend this lobster shack to my friends.

It was my second time here since they opened, and I must say, it’s gotten even better. The buttery roll was overflowing with lobster, no fillers, no mayo, no celery, just good old lobster meat. The menu has expanded quite a bit, so in addition to the lobster rolls and grilled cheese, there’s lobster tacos, soups, fried things, and other items which you would expect walking into a seafood shack in Maine. They also now have daily specials, lobster rolls on Wednesdays, lobster grilled cheese on Thursdays, etc… Service is great, and there’s a couple seats inside, and a couple outside, which have pluses and minuses depending on the wheather.

While vacationing @ Massanutten Resort in Virginia, my handy-dandy Unilocal app encouraged me to give Lobsta Rollin’ a try. It is one of the closest restaurants to the resort and sits in the same business complex as Jack Brown’s Single Wide and near Log Cabin BBQ. The kids were having the time of their lives at the Massanutten Resort indoor water park so I snuck off for a little daddy treat. — — — - THEFOOD 3.5 oz LOBSTAROLL(5+ stars) | $ 13.95 The owner is from the New England area, but has lived all over. While waiting for my order we had time for a little small talk and this guy is like a traveling Gnome. I told him about my trip to Maine last summer and how disappointed I was with the New England tradition of cold lobster meat, so he warmed the lobster meat for me. It was heavenly. So good in fact that I brought the entire family back the following day. After reluctantly agreeing to eat my second lobster roll the traditional way, I must admit it I enjoyed it even more served cold. Our road trip to Maine last year allowed me to taste 5 lobster rolls from several iconic businesses(Red’s, Allison’s, Clam Shack, etc.) and I must say Lobsta Rollin’ was better than all of them. * * * * * * * * * * $$$ MONEYSAVINGTIP: The 3.5oz lobster roll is only $ 8.50 on Wednesday’s. * * * * * * * * * * FRIEDSHRIMP(3.5 stars) | $ 8.99 half The shrimp were decent in sized and cooked to a perfect golden brown. The taste was okay, but not as good as I was hoping. Could have used a little more of his special house made seasoning prior to battering and frying, but overall not bad. STEAKROLL(4 star) | $ 7.95 Surprisingly good flavor. The roll he used was perfect. LOBSTERBISQUE(3.75 stars) $ 4.50 I’m on the fence about this soup. It was creamy and had nice flavor but I would have enjoyed it more had there been more chunks of lobster meat. As of now I can’t say I’m a fan, but I would probably order it again. LOBSTERGRILLEDCHEESE(2 stars) | $ 10.95 This sandwich could be seriously awesome, but the combination of the Muenster cheese and cubed tomatoes with the lobster meat was bitter to me. Two bites and I threw it away. — — — - FINALTHOUGHTS The owner seems to be a straight up and honorable guy. His business hours are so short because he works a full time job as he is trying to grow and expand to make Lobsta Rollin’ his primary source of income. I truly wish him well and hope he considers expanding to Atlanta! Other than the Lobster Grilled Cheese, I thought the food was really good and the lobster rolls could compete with the best in the country. I seriously doubt anyone would be disappointed eating here. **Special thanks to Jordan M for the helpful tips about Lobsta Rollin’ & other great restaurants in the area.

We decided to stop in because we love lobster. They had a good deal on Wednesdays($ 8.50 for a lobster roll). It was delicious. We also tried the lobster grilled cheese and the lobster bisque. The grilled cheese was ok. The bisque was fantastic. We were a bit bummed that they did not have enough bisque for two bowls or any fried clams available. I guess this just means we will have to stop in earlier next time!

My man and I are in town for the weekend from Los Angeles and were so happy to find a place that looked amazing. Loved the look of the outside! Waterfall! A couple little shops! Clean! New! We decided to try the Lobster Roll, Lobster Grilled Cheese, and the Clam Chowder. We were impressed by all of it. Good portions for what you paid and it tasted awesome! The owner made us lunch and soon his girl showed up. We all hung out for a while and just talked about it all. Great People! I am a small business owner and it makes me happy to support other small businesses who take pride in what they have and give good service! You won’t be disappointed!

All of the items on the menu involve shellfish, so if you can’t deal with that, don’t come here. I ordered the Lobsta Roll(7oz) for $ 20, the Lobsta Grill Cheese for $ 11, and a bowl of home made clam chowda. The sandwiches come with a bag of chips and a small carton of boston baked beans candy. Here, they only use claw meat for the sandwiches. All in all, the grub was really good. They use extra thick bread for the sandwich and extra long rolls for the rolls. It’s first coated with country crock shed’s spread and then lightly grilled before the lobster is loaded on. Everything was great and the worker was super nice.

Again, thanks to Unilocal,we found this amazing, quaint, and independently owned restaurant. The owner was really friendly and we got to talking about his background and what brought him there. I love hearing about what got businesses like that started. There were 3 in our party, we each ordered the regular rolls and when we finished, we all ordered another one to go. You don’t understand, my husband and I have taken trips to Boston just for fried clams(yes, they have fried clams with bellies too!!) and lobster rolls, so this was an amazing perk to our Massanutten trip. Let’s hope business is amazing and they can move on down to Hampton Roads!

I ordered the 7oz Lobsta Roll. The sandwich arrived with loads of lobster piled high on a toasted buttery roll. The huge chunks of tender lobster were lightly coated with mayo. A nice bit a sliced green onion and celery seed provided added flavor. It was the best lobster roll ever! The restaurant is counter service with covered outdoor seating. The owner and staff are very friendly. A $ 51.5 oz special on Wednesday is a good deal for those looking for an economical sandwich option. The menu also includes lobster tacos, lobster grilled cheese and several soups(lobsta bisque, New England clam chowdah and kickin crab chowdah).
