Sutton Inn

We stayed at the Sutton Inn which was the best hotel I have ever stayed in and I have stayed in a lot of hotels in my life. The owner and the employee’s are awesome and took us in the room and explained everything to us and so clean and nice. I also had the best breakfast in the world it couldn’t be better. This place is so awesom I couldn’t have asked for and better place to stay in and if I do ever get back to Cecil county I will only stay there. I gave it 5 stars because I want everyone to know that if you go to Cecil county or even near it stay there its its easy to find and a very short distance from Delaware to. I hope that this will tell people to go to this hotel instead of any others, and a very reasonable price also per night especally considering how great this place is.

Awesome place to stay! We’ve stayed about three times so far. Always amazing! Very clean! Staff is good. Hotels rooms always 100% to my standard. NO BUGS! Lol we love it here! And the hallways smell AMAZING!

They are really nice, they took their time and explained how the TV works and A.C. Stood there a Saturday night. Room 6 was a nice size, queen size bed and a full size bed. Bathroom was just redid, water felt great. I’m giving them a 3 because although it look clean, my allergies was acting up so bad out of no where the first 10 mins being in the room, it had to be because it was dusty, and kitchen area for the continental breakfast was messy.

A great local business. This seems to be an old-​fashioned motel that was updated recently. The rooms are small, but very modern and super-​clean. No gym and no breakfast, but you’re close to restaurants and stores. If you don’t like chain hotels, this is worth a try. Recommended … we were visiting friends in the area and we told them to send their friends here.

On way back from visiting my house in Baltimore, we used the Sutton Inn as a way station to break up the trip, and got an end room with a King and Double; it worked as we had 1 toddler and two adults in the party. Room was large, lotsa channels on 42/​46″ LED TV. Manager welcomed us and owner served us breakfast the next day, both very nice.
For breakie they’ll do eggs to order and have traditional American fare; bacon, sausage, etc. They also have the staples for cereals.
The AC was quiet and efficient; our first day was first hot day in a couple weeks and the thing did the job. Its an overhead unit, in the ceiling, so covers the room effectively and evenly.
Bath was fine, clean; shower stall. Wifi good enough to stream movies to our tablet and all of our devices.
We’d go again.

Stayed there for the night last weekend. From the looks of things the hotel has been renovated lately. The rooms were a little bit small but still had a microwave and refrigerator with a flat screen television with digital cable and free wifi. The room itself was clean and the beds were comfortable. For the price you pay you do get value for your stay. If I’m in the area again I would not hesitate to stay.

My wife and I, being empty nesters, just wanted a clean room and bath, and also air conditioning on a sultry summer day. The place looked new and clean, so we stopped.
We got what we were looking for $ 70 including tax. Room was a little Spartan (no table lamps) but the room was spotless, the furniture (what there was) was new and tasteful, the queen bed was comfortable, and the air conditioning was plenty beefy, yet quiet. No closet to hang your clothes though.
They offer both wired and wireless Internet free, though the connection is too slow to watch video on my laptop.
Chuck, the proprietor, was friendly and helpful. I could see how he’s striving to improve the place, and I suspect that as time goes on, the place will just keep improving. If you’re not traveling with children and don’t need the proverbial pool, I recommend this place
