When you have family in town I think I, like most people, tend to shy away from places you’ve never been for the safety of knowing what you’ll get. This was one of those times. We decided to eat here since it was convenient, but in all honesty we had a far better experience than we could’ve hoped for. Our waitress Lindsay(written Lindsa on the receipt so I’m taking a wild guess here) was fantastic! I mean seriously, she didn’t forget any part of our order, never disappeared on us, and even let us try an appetizer we weren’t so sure on(don’t ask her to do that though seeing as how she probably isn’t supposed to). I ordered the smokey mountain chicken which was really tender. The bacon was cooked well, but my only criticism would be about how much cheese they put on it. I had to scrape most of it off since it was literally a big ball of cheese that they melted and plopped on top. My wife ordered the Big Dipper appetizer. All of it was pretty good she said, but the one thing she didn’t care for was the fried chicken. It just seemed to be over done while being completely dry. When you pair above average food with exceptional service it equals a solid review on Unilocal.Past reviewers have been pretty harsh on this place, and it might be deserved. However, most of them were from quite a long time ago, and it looks like this place has come quite a ways. Ask for Lindsay when you visit, it’ll make your lunch or dinner far more enjoyable even if the food is just solid, though not perfect.

Wow, just wow… major let down. We went because it’s close to the house and we had a coupon. We arrived at 3:45PM Sunday to skip lunch rush and avoid dinner traffic. They were out of biscuits. Salad bar was just OK. Waited 30 minutes for the appetizer(which looked and tasted like it sat under the warmer for 30 min) only to have our entrees arrive 90 sec later. Some of the sides were decent enough, the baked potato was cold and the pork chop was overcooked to the point of dry. The manager attempted to make good by saying he would remove the appetizer charge and comp us dessert. We declined dessert, used our coupon, and were still charged for the appetizer. It’s fine, we just wont bring our business to Ruby Tuesday ever again. Lesson learned: choose independently owned eateries over corporate America owned establishments.

I stopped for a quick dinner while on my way home from a business trip last night. I sat in the bar because it is usually quicker to get service for soup and salad bar. I sat for several mins and had 3 people/servers pass by me without acknowledging me. My server, Bethan was pleasant and very efficient with my beverage and order. While I was seated I overheard complaints of orders being made incorrectly and all servers saying that the kitchen had completely run out of potatoes. Wow, what a nightmare for customers and servers! Hope they can correct these issues because Chile’s just opened across the street!

The service is very good and the food and garden bar were fresh and tasty. Portion sizes are SO small. Dinner looked like a diet plate. Both the entrée and side were tiny. I had to go back to the garden bar to fill up or I would have left hungry. I told the server the portions were small. He said that the garden bar was still available. I don’t think I will go back. For $ 32 per person I should be stuffed.

I came in all by myself on a Thursday afternoon because I had a birthday burger coupon! I had the Pretzel Cheese Burger and it was awesome!?! the meat was juicy, hot, the bun was soft, and the condiments were cold like they should be. Steven is the best bartender. Friendly, fast, and courteous.

This Ruby Tuesday could use some doing up but food and service were good. We went on a Sunday afternoon.

This is by far the worst Ruby Tuesday. Rude management and dirty. We were told we couldn’t sit in a booth in the bar because there was a long waiting line. We could sit at a high top, however. There was NO waiting line. And we watched as the next to arrive were seated where we wanted to sit. And 2 other booths were empty. What was the point? Then the silverware given to us(wrapped in napkin) was dirty. Food was lukewarm. Menus were filthy. Not worth the stop folks. Eat elsewhere.

My husband and I eat here more frequently than any other restaurant. The salad bar is great — LOVE those croutons — and we have never had a bad meal. Even at its busiest times service is excellent. We’ve come as a couple and part of a large group, always with the same great service and good food.

Not a bad option if you’re in Ellenton. An under the radar chain that has a nice options and decent atmosphere. Service and food are always as expected.

I am a fan of the salad bar, provided it’s kept up and fresh. Seems like they do a good job with that. Small step up from Applebee’s m

This chain in under rated. The food was served right away and cooked to order. Try the Jumbo skewed shrimp. Excellent portion and plenty of shrimp. The menu is healthy with perfect size portions. For desert it is a Blondie. Server was very considerate and allowed us all the time to make our choices.

Buhhh. worst Ruby’s I’ve been to. Salad bar was empty-ish and STALE. Salad had those red edges it gets when it’s a few days old. Things just didn’t look fresh. Croutons were totally stale and hard. Woof. The quesadilla was okay, but not my favorite. Way too many peppers, but I’m sure it was pre-made frozen and heated up in the kitchen, so it probably wasn’t the cooks fault. Service was good, so it’s unfortunate the meal wasn’t better. A little sprucing on the freshness scale would bring this place up a few notches pretty easily.

Granted I didn’t get anything too fancy, my food at ruby Tuesdays was on par with a McDonalds or a Burger King dinner. I got the chicken buffalo sandwich and my girlfriend got the mini burgers. Both were really bad. Service was pretty horrible as well. The only reason I age it 2 stars is because the salad bar was good. Maybe the steaks/fish are decent but the cheaper alternatives were hoooorible!

I will admit, I worked here and some food items are good. But if you care about cleanliness, I would NEVER eat here. Pretty nasty cockroach problem(had one drop into my cleavage from the kitchen ceiling.) Def wouldn’t eat the salad bar… that is infested. If you dont mind dirtiness… eat here.

Ruby Tuesday’s has definitely gone through a makeover. From the aesthetics of the restaurant to the menu choices and quality, I definitely noticed the difference at this location by the Ellenton Outlets. We did brunch and were not disappointed. Service, even sitting outside, was attentive. The menu was intriguing and from a health standpoint, I would rank this higher than Applebee’s, Chili’s and TGI Friday’s. The convenience to the outlets is huge — there is really nothing better to choose from in the area, with the rest of the places being fast food. I would not go out of my way to eat at Ruby Tuesday’s, but if they were a convenient option you could do far worse.

It might have been the day, but the food was outstanding. Atmosphere 80(typical R.T. layout) Service 80(a franchise hallmark –always well trained) Food 85(a 90 considering it is a franchise) Value 85(always a fair bargin) The ribs, made in one of three ways, are always outstanding. Asian style is very reministent of Roy’s and forget Sonny’s.

This is a chain, but this location is run very well. All the food was very good. The spaghetti squash is great if you like squash. Salad bar selections seem to be parred down a little, but there are some nice items on it, e.g. crumbled blue cheese, endamame. Very good value for the money.

So my family and I were shopping out at the Ellenton Prime Outlet yesterday and we usually dine at Ruby Tuesdays afterward. We come to find that Ruby Tuesdays has been TRANSFORMED from just a regular American place that has decent food, to pretty menus, comfortable booths, and new meals on the menu that taste great. The only downfall to this whole thing is that prices were forced to go up for this new renovation. It’s OK though! You can order two mini-burgers with fries and a salad bar for only $ 8.99, and not feel so bad for splurging on the greasy food when you have all that healthy and yummy salad to eat. Word of advice: Stay away from the Avocado Ranch sauce. The waitress was very nice, the only complaint I have about her was that she didn’t refill my drink once I finished it(which was roughly towards when we were paying the bill), though I argue that it is the MOST crucial moment of waiting to secure your tip by putting a finishing touch on someones experience anywhere. Of course, that was her only flaw, so she still received a generous tip.
