Tommy’s Smokehouse

The ribs are good as is the cubed pork. Good BBQ.
However: the portions are more in line with a Washington DC BBQ boutique, rather than a South Ga. BBQ spot. I got the family of four meal, and had to subsudize with Zaxbys for the kids. Tommy needs to fix this.

About a year ago, employees from my local team suggested this restaurant. They told me this was the best place for barbeque. I was very skeptical. I have traveled to many BBQ competitions over the years. It is hard for me to find great barbeque.
Tommy’s is a mom amd pop restaurant located in an old farmhouse. I ordered the brisket which was absolutely incredible. Today, my same team and I stopped by. I ordered the ribs with 2 sides. These ribs were the absolute best I have ever had. Moist, meaty, fall of the bone, smoked and flavorful. Not to mention extremely affordable. Side items are tasty as well. Stop in and ask for Tommy, the owner. He takes pride in his business and makes customer satisfaction hs highest priority. Telll him Scott sent you from Unilocal

Tommy’s barbeque is really good. We especially enjoy the homemade Brunswick stew. The other sides could be a little better. I don’t think they make their coleslaw or potato salad. The barbeque sandwiches are a good size and are reasonably priced. Would recommend this for a quick lunch.

The chicken, ribs, and pork are all good. Sauces are decent. The owner and other emplyees couldn’t be nicer. They learn your name quickly and even let me sample a few items.

Stopped in for lunch. Had the cubed pork sandwich and slaw. Pork was moist and tender with a hint of smoke. There were several pieces of «bark» that added to the flavor and texture. The slaw had a great flavor. Some of the best that I have had.

Delicious Barbecue. Tommy definitely knows what he’s doing!

A must stop every time we travel. Mom and Pop atmosphere where they make you feel like family. Love the chicken and veggies but the ribs are amazing. Best banana pudding ever.

Seems like they may be overwhelmed. Service wasn’t good and my pork plate was cold.
Meat had decent flavor but it reminded me of leftovers.
Found it hard to order and the place felt cramped.
I would have to be desperate to return. Sorry Tommy.

We went for the first time tonight. Had the ribs with sides of cole slaw, baked beans and Brunswick stew. Pleasantly surprised by how tasty the food was, and Tommy came out to meet us personally with a complimentary basket of homemade potato chips, since it was our first time. Definitely plan to go back.
