A New You Salon

GO SEE KATIE! I drive all the way to Ellicott City from Northern Virginia (near Dulles Airport) in rush hour traffic just to get my hair done by her. Unlike other places I’ve gotten my hair done, Katie proves that she really understands hair — giving coloring advice on based on how my hair pulls warms, my skin tone, etc. I never really know what I want (other than blonde highlights that are not too platinum, not too yellow), so I tell her I trust her expertise and to do what she thinks is best. She does not disappoint! Katie always send me out the door looking and feeling great! I work part-​time as a bartender, and I frequently have girls complimenting me and asking where I get my hair done.
I took my mom with me last time. My mom, like me, didn’t know what she wanted. Her hair was light brown and just looked kind of fried and just blah (sorry mom!). She let me and Katie pick her new color — we went with a dye that was dark brown with a hint of red, which Katie recommended for my mom’s tanner skin tone. SHE LOOKED STUNNING. It looked very fresh and clean, and really made her blue eyes pop. She was a little shocked at first by how dark it was (she says it’s the darkest it’s ever been), but now she’s always primping and showing it off to friends/​family.
