This is a very nice oddball place. Lot’s of fun old books, something that we don’t see much of anymore with Amazon dominating the market and all the Kindles and Tablets that people are using to store their entire library on, it really takes you back in time.

This is a tiny 2nd floor shop, with an extreme collection of books. They’re categorized by topic but other than that, you’re kinda on your own to look through and browse. Yes, I met the older man as well… He was nice, not so friendly… but still… not mean or anything… He obviously must love reading these books in order to sit there every single day to sell them. If you’re a book lover, this is the place! Books range in prices(on the flap of the cover page)… The cheapest I saw was like $ 5… I saw others more than $ 50. It’s a bit up the hill compared to all the other antique shops, but still walking distance from the metered parking spots.

I like this used book store. I’ve been in several others in the area and it’s similar in nature, but slightly less hectic feeling than some. I found this bookstore to have a really interesting selection and I even stumbled on a book written by an ancestor of my family… funny. He had some very interesting books on this area in the local history section. I’m planning on going back to peruse. I wouldn’t call the store owner«friendly», but he was very helpful when asked about certain books. He seems like the kind of person you would expect would own this sort of business… quiet and straightforward. If you like digging for buried treasure or just getting some cheap books, this place is a good find.

Truly a charming little shop with a single employee – presumably gramp– who has an unimpeachable knowledge of where nearly every book is within his small store. It’s certainly cramped, and books are stacked upon the floor, but they are priced well and include a very good mix of classics and more modern titles at a reasonable price. Many of the books sold are 70+ years old, and are additionally interesting as antiques. It’s a delight to spend an hour browsing this quaint store in search of the perfect book.

Just your average used book store. The name seems pretty fitting as it is run by a crotchety old dude who gives the impression that he literally emptied his attic and tossed it all out in the shop. There seemingly is some sort of method to the madness though because when I asked him for books in Spanish he went right over to a pile of foreign language books, mostly French stacked in a corner. Amid the stacks of books I’m sure you can make some pretty decent finds. I found a pretty legit 3 volume edition of the collected works of Marx and Engels for a pretty decent price.
