We usually pick up kolaches here on the weekend, they were always fresh and delicious. They also have a great variety if flavors both sweet and savory. My favorites are the sausage and cheese and the peach kolaches. The staff is alway friendly and helpful. Get there early they sell out quick ! I am so glad we have such a great little unique bakery in our neighborhood!

Kolache Kreations is near the Wallis baseball fields. I have only been there once but will definitely return. I had a sausage Kolache and thoroughly enjoyed it.

This place is a hidden gem in Ellicott City for breakfast Kolache treats. Kolache’s are polish pastries that are either savory or sweet. The savory ones typically have meat, cheese, and egg inside and the sweet ones have various fruits. This place does a great job of making fresh Kolaches all of which are exceptionally fresh and tasty. If you’re looking for something new/different for breakfast check them out!

Went with my wife and a daughter, had latte, ice cream and ham& cheese savory Kolache, all items were awesome. Inside sitting was just a table, lucky we found it empty at our visit. Handicrafts and accessories were additional beauty to the store.

Disappointing after reading the reviews. Got a dozen for the group and everything was ok but nothing to write home about.

You need to try a Kolache. My whole famy loves this special treat and they make a awesome surprise for any situation. They are very nice and give personable service. Definitely worth the trip. They have a fantastic reputation.

The savory kolaches were good. I fee like needed a dipping sauce or something. The fruit ones were good as well but there wasn’t a lot of variety to chose from on the day I went.

Friendly neighborhood feel with awesome coffee, ice cream and breakfast treats. My husband is in love with the sausage, egg and cheese baked inside a homemade roll! So good. If you go once, I promise you’ll go back again.

Turns out the reason Kolache isn’t widely known is because it’s decidedly mediocre. And I suppose if fresh fruit and high quality sausages and cheeses were used the hand pocket served here might rise above but sadly the Kielbasa was tough and average, the cheese sparse and bland and the fruit canned unappetizing glop. Yuck. The woman behind the counter seemed bored and uninterested, perhaps because she was selling boring food. The place was empty at noon on a weekday which says volumes. Sorry Kolache Kreations but you’ve got some work to do.

Super nice staff and I can’t get enough of the cheese kolache! The coffee is also very smooth.

My husband and I stumbled upon this quaint little Mom and Pop shop while out for some quality time together on our anniversary. This was so nice. We were just going to stop in and then go to the park but we decided to take in the whole experience. We sat on the porch on a rocking chair eating a Kolache(which we never had before) and sampled a fresh baked pumpkin crumb cake and vanilla latte. Everything was delicious and we noticed the mini shop in the back with a couple tables set up with games for the kids and even a smaller picnic table out front made for kids and a water dish for the dogs. We will DEFINITLEY stop in again and bring the family. It’s very close to Centennial Park and would be great to bring the family after a nice day at the park. Only give it a 4 instead of 5 because they were out of a few things but it actually added to the«non huge chain store» feel

I thought this place was a little dirty and my Chai tea was ready in about 30 seconds, which tells me they mixed it up from a powder. I hate powered, boring, tasteless Chai tea. I did get a Kolache… a cream cheese one. I was a little grossed out though, as I saw knats swarming around. This was actually my second visit to this place. The first time I went in and bought a ring! They sell jewelry! Odd… Kolaches, jewelry, ice cream, and coffee/tea. It’s a strange set up. I don’t think I am a fan.

I’ve never felt compelled to write a review of Koloche Kreations until today. I ordered two pumpkin spice lattes. After the lattes were made, they were plopped in front of my face, full to the brim, with no lids, one with a cup sleeve and one without. The girl said, «here you go.» I asked for lids and was told they had none. I asked if any of their cold cup lids would fit and she plopped them on top of my drinks and they didn’t. Perhaps if I was staying to sip my drink there I wouldn’t have cared but I wasn’t about to drive 10 miles on a windy bumpy road on a rainy day with two completely full lattes. I told the girl this. She gave me the look of «oh, alright» and then went into the back and brought out a GIANT sized bag of lids!!! WTF?! So, did she not know they had lids or was she really THAT lazy and wanted to see if she could get away with not giving me lids. Ug. Furthermore, the man in line behind me got sick of waiting for this chick to get a move on and just left. This is not the first or even the second time I have been here when they were out of important items or ingredients whether it be tomato/lettuce for a sandwich or whole milk. Not to mention, if there is more than one or two customers, the wait is not worth it. I’ve yet to see more that 1 person working and during a Sunday morning coffee rush, one person just doesn’t cut it. I’ve been told that their regular coffee is lacking however I usually get a latte of some sort and they have always been up to par. The kolaches and other bakery items I’ve gotten have all been good and that is why they are still holding strong at 3 stars in my book. I really wish small locally owned joints like this would step it up in the customer service department. I see it all the time. I few simple changes could do wonders for the business. Personally, if I were the owner and I witnessed an employee too lazy to find and open a new package of lids, I’d ax them immediately because I could only imagine what other corners they are cutting when nobody is watching.

My kids LOVE this place! Their favorites are the savory kolaches — the sausage and cheese or the bacon, egg, and cheese. Reasonably priced for a nice, filling breakfast.

4.5 /5. I was introduced to kolaches on a recent trip to Texas so I admit I’m not a «native» kolache connoisseur. However, based on my limited experience, I can say that the kolaches at kolacke kreations are definitely on par with ones from Texas. But hey, why use Texas as the reference point anyways since they’re from central Europe anyways? Judging solely on taste and a limited reference point, the savory kolaches are superb and delicious. I think I’ve had dreams about them they’re so good. I hesitate to recommend the kielbasa and pulled pork only because I’m afraid they’ll run out before I get mine! They definitely don’t skimp on the filling. I was a bit disappointed with the fruit kolaches as the ones I had in Texas weren’t too sweet and just seemed really clean and fresh, whereas the kolache kreation ones were on the sweet side and the fruit was covered with a purée/jelly. Still really good, just not on par with their savory ones. The store itself could use some refreshing but the prices are great and the kolaches are delicious. Just don’t take my kielbasa, cheddar, and jalapeño kolache please.

This place is awesome and I agree, definitely 110% authentic Texas hospitality and kolaches! My faves are the pizza and pulled pork. Phenomenal! I recently had them shipped! Yes, if you ask they will ship next day delivery. A bit pricey as I had to pay for the shipping, but definitely worth it as opposed to a long round trip drive.

Absolutely delicious and Texas-approved authenticity! I drove over an hour to get a taste of home and they did not disappoint. The owners were so nice(typical southern hospitality) and were so accommodating in providing me, and my pregnant wife, all the kolaches we needed. Now if they could only bring a store down closer to DC, I’d be there every weekend!

More Texas food! I don’t know why the East Coast hasn’t embraced certain foods and kolaches is one of those foods. They can be breakfast. They can be dessert. They are easy to carry. Kolache Kreations is the only place I have found around here that sells these wonderfully compact foods and they were pretty good and hit the spot. I love, love, love that it is close to my house, just down the road in Ellicott City. There is also ice cream and coffee and gifts. It is a multitalented family run little place just off of Route 40.

I hope my 5 stars will boost this company’s rating. I’m so sick of people on Unilocal writing reviews that seem really positive, but then mention ONEMINORPROBLEM and slap down a 3 star rating!!! Do you people not understand that this could potentially hurt this business? Serious! Yaka gave 3 stars because the layout of the store was«confusing». OMG! Hang out for a while and get to know the place! Rob N gave such a nice and positive review on the food, but then slapped down 3 stars based on the packaging!!! What is WRONG with you? The a person named MacRae from Texas(just like me) gave it 3 stars because the food wasn’t as good as the food they had at a Kolache shop in Texas. Come on! Really? Ok, now for MY review. FIVESTARS. The food was excellent. I love the taste of everything I had here. Even the coffee was delicious. The staff is friendly and very helpful and I’ve never had any problems whatsoever. I’m from Texas and I grew up 10 miles from a city called West Texas, which is predominantly a Czech population. THIS is where good Kolaches come from, and the Kolaches at Kolache Kreations taste exactly the same. You 3 star people need to reevaluate your stars… and think about the potential impact you’re having on a person’s life. This is a FOOD establishment, rate the food… normal people will be able to see beyond the minor annoyances.

When you walk in, it’s a bit confusing because you don’t see any kolaches right off the bat(at least I didn’t that weekend). It has a general store feel to it, with a prominent ice cream display, various goods(such as Crabtree & Evelyn goods and candies), coffee and various other drinks(they offer bubble tea and smoothies here too). Next to the cash register, there’s a few displays of various baked goods. Among them, where a handful of sweet kolaches they had left(blueberry and peach). The savory ones were hidden off to the side or underneath the counter, so couldn’t even see what they looked like. You just have to order off of the menu. I would have thought that given it’s namesake, there would be a more prominent display showing off the kolaches, instead of the various miscellaneous clutter they are trying to sell on the side. I tried the mini cheese danishes they had(flaky phyllo wrapped cream cheesed filled pastries) and they were dismal. I would highly suggest passing them as they weren’t very fresh tasting. The pastry wrapping wasn’t flaky or crisp, but rather soggy and limp. It was disappointing. I bought a half dozen of kolaches to sample the various offerings. The savory kolaches on the other hand weren’t too shabby. I was surprised to find that the pastry covering was very similar to a dinner roll texture, fluffy and doughy or a very tender biscuit. The ones with the kielbasa were probably the best out of the savory ones. The jalapeño one did have a decent amount of jalapenos in it, so be careful if you are weary of some heat. Of the sweet kolaches, I tried the peach one. It seemed like regular peach pie filling(I only had 1 small slice of a peach on mine) and had a few crumbles of streusel on top. I only wished that the ratio between dough and filling was a little bit more different, but it was still enjoyable. I only wished they had more sweet kolaches that day. I would like to see the more traditional flavors(ie: poppy and prune) offered on a regular basis, but it seems those are for special orders only.
