By far my favorite liquor store in the area. It’s one of the larger ones in Howard County, family-​owned and run.
There’s a large selection of wine, with an emphasis on modest priced bottles. Good range of liquor selection, with a variety of top-​shelf brands, again with good pricing. Reasonable beer selection. Knowledgeable, friendly staff, and they’re open most holidays. My brands of vodka, tequila, bubbly, and malbec are all priced lower or comparable to others stores I’ve checked in the area.
This became my go-​to store years ago, after I decided to host a wine party, and Brad (one of the co-​owners) spent a *lot* of time with me helping me pick out 3 dozen *different* wines. He knew the wines, the grapes, and how each wine’s quality lived up to its pricing. And he’s continued to live up to that level of friendly competence ever since.
They’re all good guys, know their stuff, and the prices are reasonable. Highly recommended.

Good guys, fair prices, great selection, what I expect from a family operated business. I live on the Baltimore side of the river, so it’s a little way out of the way for me, but they’ve got my business.

My family has been a fan of this store for years. Turns out my husband used to go there when he lived close by in the neighboring apartments. Brad and Gerard and the rest of the team provided wine, beer, and liquor for my brother’s wedding back in 2001. My father gets his large jugs of wine as well as lotto tickets.
It was the natural choice to go with Northridge for my wedding which was just on 9÷19÷15. Brad responded to every one of my emails and was nothing but professional and courteous. Gerard delivered the liquor, wine, and bottled beer a few days before the wedding and Brad stopped by on the actual wedding with the keg and ice. They are a reliable business who gives fair prices-​we opted for top shelf liquor and Brad created a package which was appropriate for the group (though it was firemen and Irish folk so we definitely ran out of some liquor).
If you have an upcoming event be it corporate or personal like a wedding check out this store. It’s family owned and operated, and you get the kind of friendly service you deserve. During the wedding planning process there were many deadlines, checks to be written etc, and Northridge provided a hassle free, relaxed environment which was really fantastic.

Not only do they have the best prices in town but offer the best service. I drive out of my way to come here and am always greeted with a friendly smile.

At times, I find myself finding a reason to go slightly out of my way to patronize this store. I only buy wine, but from what I can see, they have the best prices around the Columbia/​Ellicott City area. Plus, they always have a fun seasonal display with dolls, stuffed animals, what-​have-​you up front for holidays and special events like the Super Bowl that I enjoy taking a look at.

went cus i heard they had the pinot grigio from housewives. but i found out they discontinued it so left kinda sad. but its not the stores fault. wanted to buy some decent wine glasses while i was there and there were none :(

I have been coming here as since I was 21 (but never before since they are REALLY strict about checkin ID) to buy beer and wine when I’m home in Ellicott City.
It’s owned by the Boarman brothers and it seems like a very nice family fun business. They have an extensive selection of both beer and wine and good prices too. The brothers and their staff are approachable, friendly and will help you find the drink you’re lookin for, or if you found it already get you checked out fast. When in Ellicott City, buy your booze here!
