Been going there since I was very young. For some reason, the front desk receptionist filling in was NOT the most friendly person to work with… Someone needs a hug.

Paul Brilhart DDS is a gentleman and a scholar. I have found his office to incorporate all of the positive aspects of the best dental practices while somehow remaining the antithesis of all that which is generally hated in the world of teeth cleaning. This is important because I went through a phase some years ago where I brushed my teeth with nothing but cheddar cheese. This was a dark time indeed but with the help of Paul Brilhart DDS I went from terrible jack-o-lantern mouth to the pearliest whites you’ve ever seen. More importantly, no one ever called me out for telling them I floss daily even though I had teeth that could make a hobo cringe. This office doesn’t fool around either — their efficiency is nothing short of alarming — but this is a very good thing when it comes to engaging in activities that are inherently unpleasant, such as getting drills jammed in your mouth. I dare you to try and keep pace with Sue Brilhart, the proprietor of this fine establishment. From the wait, to the work, nothing drags on too long during your visit and they can even squeeze you into their schedule in the event you call out of nowhere mumbling about horrible tooth pain because you put off your regular checkup way too long. Another amazing aspect of their practice is the awesome quality of the seasonal cookies and treats in the waiting room courtesy of the good doctor and his wife. Go ahead and chow down on a festive Christmas cookie or a delightful Oreo ball, because the dental hygienists will clear that mess right out of your teeth for you. I feel like I could gnaw on a fistful of saltwater taffy in the waiting room and the fine ladies of this dental practice wouldn’t blink twice before sandblasting every bit of that pastel epoxy filth off my teeth. It is a dream come true. Going to the dentist sucks. Going to Paul Brilhart DDS does not. Do yourself a favor and call them.

I figure I may as well Unilocal my dentist since the webpage title does say«Baltimore Restaurants, Dentists, Bars…» etc. Dentists comes before Bars? really? I’ve been going to Dr. Brilhart’s office since I was probably 9 or 10 years old. Dr. Brilhart runs this practice with his wife, who is one of the dental hygienists. In addition, there are two other hygienists and one receptionist. Everyone who works in this office is really friendly. Whether you’re a new patient or you’ve been going there for years, they treat everyone like family. I remember when I was younger, one of my 6-month check ups would fall around the holidays, and they always had cookies out while you were waiting. Seems ironic to have cookies at a dentist’s office, but they always encouraged you to partake since you were about to get your teeth cleaned anyway. They’re open during normal business hours, but they have evening hours on Wednesdays and they’re open one Saturday a month. If you have an emergency, they’ll make every effort to fit you in. If my dental insurance still covered it, I would still be seeing Dr. Brilhart for my check ups. Unfortunately as a lowly grad student, my insurance only covers visits to the dental school where you’re looked at by dental residents who need the practice. yikes.
