I’ve been to The Archive a number of times. Although the shop hasn’t been around long, it’s small, yet occasionally stocked with some good stuff. THEGOOD… –usually find free parking on the street –pretty good hours of operation –owner is friendly, knowledgeable and engages with customers –good mix of genres. Rock, Jazz, Blues, Soundtracks, Electronic and more –sells old gaming systems, games and accessories –reasonable prices –listening station –clean inside THEBAD… –minimal punk and reggae –hit or miss on new arrivals Overall The Archive is a good shop worth checking out. It’s also worthwhile to frequent for new arrivals coming in. Best shop in the Columbia/Ellicott City area.

A great record and game store. If you like thrift stores and are in Ellicott City, check this place out! I think the prices are pretty reasonable, but don’t go in here expecting to pay less than you would on eBay. The owner is a pretty cool guy and he will work with you on bundling merchandise. I always stop in when I am in the area and more often than not pick up at least one game.

This is a small shop in Ellicott city. They sell mostly records but they also has a collection of video games, DVDs and odds/ends. The shop is colorful, clean and organized. This is a great addition to main street and I plan to stop more frequently. If your looking for a record, this place should carry it!
