This winery isn’t big but it’s great. They make their own wine in the back and have a great variety of choices. You can choose to taste 6 different wines for a small fee which wasn’t bad at all. By the way if you go, get the Sweetest thing or Snowfox wines, they are great. The women behind the counter was very friendly and gave us good info on the wines we tasted and perhaps where to buy some when we got back home. When I come back to Ellicottville, it’s definitely a place I will go back too.

We had a great time coming here yesterday! The tasting was fun and they have cute little wine related gifts you can purchase for very reasonable prices. The tasting was any 6 wines for $ 5 — a great deal! Will definitely be back if I’m in the area.

Wanting to get away for an afternoon, we drove to Ellicottville just to roam around. Our first stop was here at The Winery. We were greeted warmly by a lady behind the bar. It was a little busy at the time, but she was quick to engage us in conversation and asked what type of wine we like to drink. She was very knowledgable and introduced us to a wine we wouldn’t have normally chosen. We loved it — EVL Red served chilled. The owner was there too and a nice easy going guy to talk to. He’s been making wines for years and knows his trade. Definitely worth a stop here to purchase and taste more of their wines.

This past Columbus Day Weekend marked my second visit to the Winery of Ellicottville. As far as I know, this is one of the only wineries in Ellicottville which is quite surprising to me given the quaint Ellicottville community would make for a great destination after a day on a wine trail. My first visit to the Winery of Ellicottville was with my mom as she had a Groupon for a tasting wine and chocolate combination. I found everything we tasted to be quite tasty. My second visit was more recent and filled with what seemed like much more wine. My whole family came down to Ellicottville from Allegany State Park for some wine tasting at the winery and some beer tasting at EBC. All of the employees we interacted with were friendly and incredibly knowledgable about all of their wines. We were each able to taste 6 wines for $ 5 each. They have a pretty decent list for such a small location… lots of whites, reds, and a few dessert wines as well. My personal favorites were the Snow White and EVL White. Sweet sweet grapes. Yum! There was a special, buy 12 bottles and get 2 free which my Aunt Madeline took advantage of! This is a great little shop complete with wine tasting, wine accessories, bottles on bottles of wine, etc. I’m sure I’ll be back to the Winery of Ellicottville to pick up a few bottles in the near future! Check out their website for local Ellicottville events, too!
