I love this place! I try to eat there at least once a month, food is delicious, affordable, and quick. Only downside is trying to call for takeout, half the time it’s busy or no one answers the phone. They’d benefit from a dedicated person handling Togo orders. Pizza is excellent! chicken parm is my go to dinner, although I’ve tried quite a few other meals. Expect to wait during peak hours, not a huge place but worth the wait!

I am very picky about my italian food. I have had great Italian and I have had very bad Italian. This is one of the great ones. Fresh ingredients, fresh breads, and the best vodka sauce I have ever had. My suggestion: Its not on the menu… so you have to ask for it… gnocchi ala vodka.

Food is great, ambiance is nice. Just don’t try to call and get delivery! Sometimes don’t even answer the phone.

I discovered this restaurant recently and I love their food! The gnocchi with tomato basil sauce and blackened chicken is amazing. I usually have mine with a side of ranch for the chicken. My children have proclaimed it their favorite place for Sundays dinners. The restaurant isn’t very big and sometimes there is a wait. But it’s usually never a long wait. The food is fast and fresh.

Wonderful Italian restaurant! Delicious food! Peanut butter pie is the best. Also lasagna is to die for! Of only they could serve Wine, but you can bring your own bottle so Nico’s gets a 5 stars from me, wonderful service & delicious food!

We went in for the first time and when the food is pretty good, the service not so much. We had a party of 6 adults and two toddlers. which is not much seeing the size of this place. Our waitress was very rude from the get go, Regina was her name, very snappy and not pleasant! To me the food can be great but if the service is not then it messes up everything. Her excuse was that she just had a table of eight and then our table of 6, like I said this place is not very big and to me the bigger the table the better the tip right. We all order our food and I ordered my child a pasta with a meatball and a water. All the food comes out and the waitress brings my uncle his plate and says she’s glad this is the last plate, seeing my daughter did not receive her plate yet I say something to her and she snaps back at I only have 2 hands. That’s ok if you are swamped but a child should get their food first. If she forget to put that order in tell you the truth. So my daughter is asking where her spaghetti and meatball is. And did not get her Water that I ordered and the waitress Regina looks down and says oh I forgot her drink. This is only a fraction of the bad service here, a lot more stuff was wrong. A table behind us was saying their bread was hard so we hear our waitress tell that table just put it in your soup… so this being said thanks Regina for making Nico Luciano’s lose business because we will not be returning!

Hello, I am chef Brandon. This was my first experience eating at Nicos. My girfriend has been talking about how much she enjoyed the Char Grilled Chicken Caesar salad she got there once so we decided to stop in for lunch. Upon walking in, it looked a lot like it did when it was still Landos. Its a beautiful log cabin, but the Venetian Plaster mixed with American Log cabin is a bit offsetting and confused. We stood in the doorway for a few minutes while the wait staff yelled back and forth in confusion as to whose turn it was to take a table. The restaurant at this point was not busy at all, as we were one of four tables seated. Out waitress sat us and gave us our drinks. She was very sweet and polite. We ordered two chicken caesars and unfortunately they ran out of stock on the stuffed hot peppers appetizer we wanted. However, she quickly came out with some bread and dipping oil to make up for the lack of the appetizer i desired. Starving, we woofed down the bread and the bland dipping oil that i had to doctor with salt and parmesan cheese that were on the table and she quickly came back and offered more, which we gladly accepted. Not much longer after within 5 – 7 minutes of ordering our orders hit the table… I do not see what my girlfriend saw in this pathetic excuse for a Caesar salad. I didn’t read the explanation on the menu, or i would have ordered it differently… The fact that there is breaded frozen fries and feta cheese on it threw my off immediately, but i decided to give a shot anyway… it is not tossed, but rather dressing served on the side… okay… i then begin to dig in to this massive disappointment to find dry lukewarm chicken. Chicken that was in fact, not chargrilled at all, but rather breaded in what appeared to be an egg batter such as chicken romano. This chicken was obviously left over and reheated and placed on my salad… it was disgusting, dry, and bland. When she returned I asked her if the chicken was supposed to be chargrilled, which she replied«no». However my girlfriend who has had the salad many times before informed that this was a lie, and indeed they were recycling old product on my salad… I ate no more then two bites and placed it on the end of the table. When she returned she apologized for me not enjoying it but did not offer to take it off of my bill or give discount. Instead I left unsatisfied, hungry, and disappointed…

Great Italian food at great prices. I think it’s all under ten bucks for dinner and under eight bucks for lunch. The hardest part is deciding what to eat because there isn’t a bad choice on the menu.

Great place! The food is fabulous, service is quick. The place is small but they move quickly for great turn over. It’s one of our favorite local spots. Nico’s has Catered events for us and we’ve been really happy with anything we’ve ordered here. Lots of pizza and Pasta selections, full salads, yummy calzones, amazing appetizers. Great place to eat! Dine in or take out. Delivery available most of the time. Prices are cheap.

I agree with the lady who lived in New York. I lived in DC for 10 years and Luciano’s has the quality I would expect from places there. They have fantastic wedding soup and everything I’ve had there has been delicious.

Went here for the first time. Tables seemed kinda tacky with all the ads. Got the ricotta balls which were really good. Both our salads were very generic. Nothing to wow us. Took a few bites then we were done. The entrees were decent. Nothing spectacular but not bad. Bread option with their garlic oil dip option was really good. Service was decent. But good overall was below par. Would try another place before going back. Pizza though looked good. Will order that before my final rating.

Service is kinda slow, always busy and loud per all the wood walls and high ceilings(echos). Very cold almost every-time i go there, even in the winter; but the steak salad is to die for! I Order my salad on my way home from work and take it home.

Took my in-laws out to eat here which was the first time for all of us. We were seated after a short wait. The dining room is not that large and was packed full. The restaurant is in a log cabin style building. Very nice atmosphere, albeit a bit on the loud side. My only complaint is the table tops are coverrd with very tacky advetrsing for local businesses. That is the last thing I want to look at over a nice dinner. The food was worth the wait! We shared some appetizers. I would highly recommend the hot peppers and zucchini, which was delicious. Nice side salad comes with your meal or homemade wedding soup. Everyone was happy with their entrees. The bread was nothing special, but did come with a nice dipping oil. Definitely will be making a trip back! Priced very reasonably.

If you are too lazy to stay home and cook a homemade Italian dinner, Nico’s is the place to go. The eggplant parm is phenomenal, after having it once, I can’t get anything else! The food is very well priced, and won’t disappoint. I can honestly say, Nico’s is the best place to eat in Ellwood.

Having lived in NYC for several years, I recognize that I am a bit spoiled by some of the world’s best restaurants and may come off as a bit of a food snob. But, I ALWAYS make time for a Nico Luciano’s visit when I come home. The food is tasty, homestyle Italian cooking(big portions!) and the prices are super affordable. Love some takeout pizza for an evening in, too.

Nico’s. Is. Awesome. If you’re in Ellwood, this would be my #1 recommendation — hands down. I can’t really tell you how great their whole menu is because I fell in love with the Chicken Romano ala Jason sandwich and have trouble ordering everything else! I will say the pene ala vodka also sticks out in my mind. Great food for great prices! I usually get a to-go order, but every time I’ve eaten in the restaurant, the service has been awesome.
