Always great service! We usually sit in the bar, as it is a little quieter. The food comes out hot, fresh and in large portions. The servers are attentive and friendly, even when they have been very busy.

I have seen this restaurant and have always wanted to pull off the highway to give it a try. Today was the day. I am so glad I did as it is a fun farm(and more) décor with friendly attentive wait staff, and delicious food at a reasonable price. Doesn’t get much better than that.

The chicken fried steak was delicious. If you get do ever get it. I would put a little bit of hot sauce on it.

The Rusty Tractor is a great place! Friendly staff, great food, and a cute atmosphere. I love how they stick to the theme with the décor. All of the food is pretty basic for what the restaurant is but its all delicious! I love their biscuits and gravy, and the chicken fried steak. They always have good specials as well.

Ok this place is cute & the concept is great! Very clean and the staff was friendly– I really wanted to give them more stars and a better review. However, the food took too long to get to our table and the order was wrong, we asked for a soda a couple of times we never got it. Our bill came out and was set on our table before we received our food(very odd) Our waitress was very sweet but clearly not on point very scattered she didn’t get one thing right — the food wasn’t bad but wasn’t great but than again it wasn’t what we ordered

Years ago my friend and I were driving in the middle of no where Washington, joking about finding food. low and behold, BAM! The Rusty Tractor. This place is great. I have stopped several times here throughout the years and every time is as good as the last. The food is good, makes me feel like mom just cooked it. The dinning area has country charm, just looking around this place sparks conversation. Thanks R.T., for being there for the worn out travelers. To anyone living in the area, your lucky.

I went there for breakfast and I went back the next day for dinner. The breakfast was ok except for those awful hubcap sized biscuits that had no flavor and were very dense and unedible. the gravy that came with it was straight out of a packet and had no sausage in it or flavor. it was paste. For dinner I had meatloaf and mashed potatoes. the mashed potatoes were instant. I believe the gravy was also instant. the meatloaf was okay. my friend ordered prawns and fry basket and she got breaded shrimp right out of the freezer. she ate about half. the waitress very nice but didn’t visit the table. we had to go find her to get drink refills. I will not go back

Back in 2012 while returning from a vacation up in Vancouver, British Columbia, we spent a night in Elma to investigate the Microtel chain franchise in the small town. As it was a discount chain, of course they did not offer dinner, so we went towards the highway to investigate what was available. It was then that we ran across this restaurant, obviously geared towards the community and its environs, and not towards people who like to use words such as ‘environs’. That being said, it offered good and plentiful food for not a lot of money, and we pledged a return. Cue up our 2015 road trip, and the opportunity arose. We had spent the previous two nights in Bellevue, which is only a couple of hours away even taking into consideration Seattle traffic, so in order to generate some hunger, we took a detour via Tacoma and the highway that stems north from it(WA-16). At the town of Gorst, we decided we could proceed in Elma’s direction, and took WA-3 to its eventual meetup with US101. We got to the Rusty Tractor at about 12:30 on one of the warmest days the area had witnessed in some time. Even the short walk from the parking lot left me in a stabby mood. So, when we walked into the restaurant, I was a little distressed to see the«Please Wait To Be Seated» sign planted about six inches from the door. Now, I do prefer this over the«Let The Customer Figure Out What They’re Supposed To Do» strategy employed by way too many restaurants, but still — they could make the signage a little less abrupt. Or perhaps there’s a reason — while the waitstaff was generally polite, they seemed a bit scattered. We waited a long time to be served, and got the idea that we better have made our minds up. The ribs we ordered were quite decent, and the pineapple upside down cake as good as I’d expected. I think next time we’ll try to stay in Aberdeen or something, and have dinner instead — it was a bit awkward to have lunch. And maybe management can figure out what to do about their dual entrance issue — it seems to be a much bigger deal than it should be.

Good coffee and server but we waited about 20 minutes for an English muffin and a cinnamon roll. The English muffin was still pasty in color except for the very edge and, while I wasn’t expecting much, I got less in my roll. We sent it back, tipped our great waitress and left. If their cook can’t get these two things right I don’t think I’m brave enough to try anything that requires cooking skills.

Friday eve dinner after 7pm. Very attentive service and quick food prep. Crescent BLT, burgers, homestyle meatloaf, and a few kids meals. Everyone was happy with the food. We will return.

Just do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. Although the portions are big, the food is mediocre and not enough to excuse the poor service. The lack of professionalism and cleanliness is enough for this to be my first and last visit.

Went there for breakfast & the server had an attitude they were busy. Ordered breakfast & my Denver omelette came without ham. When I said something she said, «I’ll go get you some» without taking my plate. I thought I was going to have to assemble my own omelette. Then, she actually did come back & grab my plate. When she returned I had cold ham sprinkled inside. We’ve come to Rusty Tractor a lot over the years & always felt mediocre. Decent food but servers unimpressive & typically forget something with every meal(this time was a side of gravy). From now on we’ll be going to Rain Country in McCleary for breakfast close to home. We’re just done!

Delicious homemade clam chowder. Big bowl for $ 3.99. Husband had the tavern battered salmon and it was delicious as well. 4 strips of salmon and fries for $ 12.99. Very satisfied! Ready to head on to Olympia.

All I can say is never come here unless you have a serious hunger upon ya! This is your typical granny-style Americano eatery with plenty of wall décor and wood accents to make it feel like a semi-hoarder’s cabin. The waitresses look from an era long past with the grit and warmth to be both welcoming and confident at their craft. The menu offers a meat lover’s version of heaven with plenty of pork, beef, and chicken options. I went for the BBQ ribs and received a full plate loaded with sauce and meat! I think I walked out of here ten pounds heavier but very satisfied and pleased. Next time I am on a road trip through Elma I will stop here again for some good eats!

No bad, service was better than normal. Big portions. Seating is small. Kids menu is great! I did see a bug in my ice water. Coffee has no taste. Breakfast for 5 ran me about $ 90 including tip.

Every time I go here, I have a bad experience, but this last time was the worst. My mother wanted to go here for lunch, and I wanted her to be happy, so I brought her here anyway. We walked in the door and stood there for over FIVE minutes while the waitress(who didn’t so much as make eye contact with us) took her sweet time entering an order into the PoS. Then another customer walked in and sat down at the counter. Once the waitress was done entering her order she helped this person, who came in after us, and then proceeded to start busing a table. What the actual fuck. We walked out the door and gave our money to IHOP in Olympia who was more than happy for our patronage. I’m not a local, but my mother is, and used to frequent this place on a regular basis. I hate to say this but the waitress looked like she was a heavy meth user. Not exactly the kind of person I want handling my food. My family goes out to eat on a regular basis and will be taking theirs elsewhere.

The Good: Didn’t wait long to be seated. Right off the highway. The Bad: Everything else. Waited 30 minutes for food when they were not busy. My mother’s grilled cheese sandwich came out as ham and cheese. When she sent it back, they simply pulled most of the ham off and sent it back to the table a couple minutes later. It was now cold with small pieces of ham still attached. They didn’t charge her for it, but how unbelievably unprofessional. Dusty decorations over the tables. So dusty that I took a picture. Check out the chunk of dust on the top left in the picture. Overcooked bacon. Overpriced for the low quality product making it to the table. Conclusion: Mistakes happen, but waiting 30 minutes for a messed up order to be handled so poorly… inexcusable.

Stopped here for some food on the way to Ocean Shores. Nothing to complain about in terms of food. Everything tasted fine, there was nothing special about it. I liked the décor and actual rusty tractors in the parking lot.

The Rusty Tractor restaurant is a roadside family restaurant located in Elma. When we first entered the restaurant we were promptly greeted by the waitress an immediately was seated. We looked through the menu and boy was it a big menu! There were so many different options to choose from. The one thing on the menu that caught my attention was the YAKSPECIALS. Right when I read that my first thought was ‘what the heck is that??’ luckily in the menu they have a whole description of what a yak was. I found this to be EXTREMELY helpful because I have never even heard of a yak before. My friend and I decided to order two dishes and share them so that way we can get a chance to try two different things. We ended up ordering a yak cheeseburger and fries and the New York steak with cheese and mushrooms. Both tasted pretty good. As for my first time trying yak, it was okay it honestly did not taste like anything special or different. To me it was a bit dry and chewier compared to a regular beef burger. The New York steak was good I enjoyed it. They also served a red pickled apple with this entrée. That was very interesting to me. It tasted like applesauce before it got mushy. LOL. Overall the atmosphere of this restaurant was very umm, redneck or rustic. Definitely don’t see anything close to this in Hawai’i. The food was good. I was pretty happy with my experience here.
