Vitec Solutions

I dont leave reviews but this company is the EPITOME of POOR service, UNHELPFUL staff, UNCOOPERATIVE staff and much more. I dont want to waste too much time giving them any of my attention but dealing with them has been a nightmare. They wont fix something under warranty that Canon «ok’d» them to fix with multiple phone calls in front of them when they are a canon repair shop. Then I said give me an estimate, they will not even give me an estimate unless I pay them $ 80. So I have to pay $ 80 to know if itll be $ 100 to fix or $ 500. The receptionist has maybe 3 brain cells in her head and that is being very generous. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID…

I was hesitant about writing a review since there hasn’t been any other reviews and while my experience was absolutely horrid, it doesn’t represent enough of a sample size to adequately rate Vitec Solutions, but I felt obligated to caution others.
That said, I went to Vitec Solutions regarding a issue with my laptop not charging unless I constantly pushed the plug into my computer’s charging outlet. I paid the Diagnostic fee of $ 35. A few days later, they tell me they need to replace the SystemBoard and the A/​C Adaptor at ~$ 280 and ~$ 30 each with labor at ~$ 60. Plus tax, everything would have been ~$ 375 (diagnostic fee subtracted from the total). I said no and took my laptop back.
When I took my laptop back, I wasn’t able to use my keyboard or touchpad. I had to borrow a friend’s wireless mouse in order to navigate to the settings that allowed me to enable my keyboard and touchpad.
I check out a locally owned store later and ask them for a quote on the issue. They come back and tell me they can easily fix it and they did for $ 75 with half of that going into inspecting the problem. No replacement parts or anything and they told me exactly what was wrong. It turned out to be a connection problem that could easily be fixed.
Overall, I would’ve been out $ 300 if I went with Vitec Solutions and they still caused me quite a bit of a headache.
