We went there yesterday and bought NY Strips and filet mignon they were very busy but when our number was called the man that helped us was so nice because we were kinda clueless, the filet was better than Ruth Chris I will never buy steaks from anywhere else it’s a little bit of a drive but the quality is over the top

Very well managed shop. And what a wide variety do they have. And everything so fresh. Went here the other day with my brother to get a bunch of things for some extensive home cooking. I have to say we were really impressed. The shop is a good sized place with well stocked meats. You can tell just by looking that you are getting the good stuff. It was worth the drive. We bought a good assortment of cuts and have found almost everything of great quality. Also, the prices were just right — not too high, nor too cheap. You pay for the quality of food that you get — which again, as I said, was very good. The staff was very nice too. Everyone behind the counter was super friendly. They had a steady flow of customers and everyone was having a great time getting what they had come in for. The shop has a big pvt parking lot and right off the main road. A ride from near ACY where my brother lives but worth the drive.

Great, fresh meats and products! The guys are always friendly and willing to fresh grind what I need. Prices are more than reasonable, especially for the quality. No comparison between their meats and a grocery stores. Plus they are open on Sunday’s now too. A+ all around!!!

I really like Joe’s. I always check the Reminder to see what’s going to be on sale for the week. We really liked the jalapeño cheddar sausage. Their stuffed pork chops were also really good. We happened to hit a great sale of ground beef for $ 2.99/lb and we bought a ton. It was so so sooo much better than stuff in the grocery store, and cheaper! Even at regular price, it’s about the same, and a much better option than the grocery store. They have a decent selection and are very helpful. They also have a small selection of veggies and condiment type stuff.

I’m shocked this place only has two reviews. I guess this just goes to show how dependent people have become on buying meat at the grocery store… and it’s a sin, really, when places like Joe’s exist. I don’t live in the area, so I only get here when I visit my parents a few times a year. But if I lived here, I would be here often. The handful of times I have been, the staff was courteous and friendly. Like any great butcher, they honor requests for trimming, de-boning, etc. They offer to season roasts. They are knowledgeable and will make recommendations based upon whatever you like. They sell everything, as a good butcher should, from the so-called«nasty bits» to stuffed meats and homemade sausage. The latter, by the way, is outstanding, and they offer a variety of flavors, including bacon cheese sausage(yes!) and a completely unconventional pumpkin spice sausage. In addition to selling meats, Joe’s has limited produce(onions, potatoes, and crisper drawer staples), lunchmeats, cheeses, bread, dried spices and rubs, pantry goods(dried pasta, gravies, stocks, etc), and a sizeable freezer case. There is plenty of parking and I’m told sometimes barbecue guys and produce vendors will set up shop on various days. Also, perhaps most importantly, their prices are great, and they don’t sacrifice quality. I got two lbs of chicken thighs, 2 lbs of sausage, and a pound of chop meat for around $ 13 — a total steal! This place is seemingly in the middle of nowhere but it is worth the trip if you’re around.

Joe’s Butcher Shop is the best in the area. It gets really crowed on the weekend, though, so just be aware of that. If you get a chance, try their stuffed pork-chops. Oh, man, just thinking about them makes me want to drive over right now and pick up two. Though, to be honest, my wife and I can have a meal on just one! I can’t complain about a single thing we’ve bought from Joe’s over the three years we’ve been going there. In a pinch you can get BBQ stuff(charcoal, lighter fluid) as well as some canned goods and refridgerator fare(milk, eggs, etc). But you really go to Joe’s(and sometimes stand in line) for the butcher case, no?

This has become my go-to butcher. It really helped that the first time I went in they had tri-tip. Woo hoo! They are willing to get anything for me, which I like. I tend to order things like lamb cubes, etc. that aren’t usually in the case. Prices are reasonable. Their steaks are expertly cut, unlike another local butcher. The homemade sausage is to die for. Try the jalapeño-cheddar. Awesome! There is a local who runs a Klose smoker out of the parking lot on the weekends. Ribs and chicken are staple. Good stuff. My only knock is that their chicken doesn’t seem quite as perfect as Marcacci’s.
