LIARS AND SCAMMERS!!!
DO NOT GO THERE! I went there to make 2 copies of keys, $ 3, cheap, right? I gave that lady $ 20 bill then I told her I have 3 singles, so she returned my bill, but wait! she gave me a $ 10 bill!!! I told her I gave her a $ 20 bill and she said «No, you gave me $ 10!». I was in a hurry and I was unsure what I really gave her so I left. Then several minutes later I realized that’s definitely not the truth! I just took 5 $ 20 bills from the bank this afternoon and the money in my wallet is not correct now! I returned immediately, ok, they closed! I fell really really bad! not just $ 10 dollars, it’s the way how she scammed me, it’s a really disgusting way!

Broadway Hardware store has been in the neighborhood as long as I could remember. They also have a locksmith service. I’ve been coming here for years to get my keys copied. The people here do it right and cheap. Only a $ 1.50 per key. They do a better job than the other hardware store down on Broadway and the Broadway Discount store down towards Queens Blvd. They also carry a variety of household items and tools. I do wish that their store was a bit cleaner and that the items they sold weren’t so dusty and dirty.

ELMHURST, NY
Near the Post Office on Broadway. The staff is very helpful. I showed the handyman what was broken and asked what I could do to fix it. He took my parts and gave me a new «boiler drain» and just took out the washer in the other.

This is definitely the closest I’ve ever seen a mom & pop shop come close to emulating a Home Depot.
Broadway Hardware has never failed me (well, almost never) as the go-​to spot for your houseware/​hardware supplies in Elmhurst. They have everything; from plumbing supplies to dinner plates to key cutting (even most Medeco keys!).
The staff is very helpful (although they may be suspicious of unfamiliar patrons because of their proximity to Elmhurst hospital) and pleasant. They’ve been able to navigate me quickly to what I’m looking for (through the claustrophobically stocked aisles) with almost no effort.
