Chicago Archery Academy

This place is great! We just had an archery tag event there last night and it was a blast. There was about 9 of us, but 12 – 15 is more ideal. We started off easy and progressed the games from there to make them more challenging as we got better. They had music which made the games really fun too. I am definitely going back and taking more friends.

This place is so great! My fiancé has been several times and has always had a good experience, so we decided to give it a shot for my mom’s birthday. What an awesome experience! Everyone was so nice and knowledgable, it was low pressure with good attention and direction, but I could also see this being great for someone with more experience than any of us had. Will definitely be back!

Just got set up by Casey and the crew at Chicago Archery and couldn’t be happier. This is the place to go for all your archery needs. There customer service and knowledge is second to none. Simply great people and products.

chicago archery is exactly what I was looking for. Casey helped me find the bow I wanted, set it up, and made sure I was dialed in before I left. customer service was great. super happy with my new Hoyt!

I absolutely love this facility. The entire staff is very knowledgeable, they are all USA Archery Certified coaches, and as far as equipment goes, they’re top notch. The environment is clean and conducive for anything from learning the basics to really refining your shot. Other members range from beginners to those training for competitions and even olympic trials. I haven’t participated in the Archery tag yet but it looks really fun and I’ve heard it’s great for bachelor parties and corporate events.
Plenty of parking, can rent equipment for a good rate, everyone is really friendly

With the reviews, I had very high hopes for this activity as I have not done it before. I have called before if there is a lesson provided during ‘open range hours’ which they have confirmed. Upon arrival after paying for our session, they assume that we have prior experience. My significant other owns a crossbow so he has at least some knowledge about handling the equipment. They offered a lesson for $ 10 or a quick introduction for $ 5. We just took the quick introduction option.
Honestly, this quick introduction was not worth the $ 5. All the instructor did was tell us how to stand, where to put the arrow, and pulling back on the bow. All within 2 minutes and just left us be. If I knew, I would of just Youtube it. My significant other knew the basic he was explaining. As he thought there was much more complicated instructions which wasn’t the case.
We were shooting the arrows which was exciting and fun. We had a great kick out of it. We ended up having no instruction for the good hour. We even had to put up our own targets which only happened because everyone else seems to put theirs up.

Although the experience was fun, the unfortnate unwelcoming feeling made it less enjoyable than it should of been.
I’m definitely going to try another Archery place in the city instead.

I brought my team in for an office event and we had an absolute blast playing archery tag! Casey was very engaging and created really fun environment. We will definitely be back and I would certainly recommend CAA to anyone who is looking for a fun way to spend an hour or two with your group.

The staff helped me renew my love of archery. The lessons and ability to rent equipment got me started. I really love the The Adult Archery Program, the once a week coaching is so valuable. All kinds of people come in so stopping in to practice on the range is always interesting. Very friendly, laid back, and relaxing place.
