They are so slow here. Also stupid with their policies. You cant even get hot sauce unless you’re getting dim sum. Even if you go there all the time and spend 15 dollars at a time.

They have good bakery selections here. They also carry a few dim sum items which is great for when you don’t have time to go have a sit down dim sum meal. But this place seems to always have a line especially in the morning so prepare to wait a bit.

Very cheap and decent pastries. The dim sums are not good though. Cinnamon is my favorite and my friends is the coconut for a dollar! It is right next to subway so it s very popular although there are only few reviews. There is also a eat in area which is practical if you re not in a hurry.

I enjoyed my latest visit. I had purchased a small hot tea with milk. It was sweet and delicious, just as I expected. When I visited around 4 pm on a Sunday, they had a short line, and two ladies working behind the counter. The cashier was friendly and helpful to me. I also saw that there were some stools to sit on, but I was in a rush so I sipped my beverage slowly as I walked out. I ended up eyeing the pastries, but not getting any of them. It was really nice to see that they had fresh hot dim sum to order. I would definitely come back.

I avoid this place because the girls are SORUDE. They roll their eyes when I ask them questions about what is in the pastries and they keep asking«That’s it», when I keep wanting to buy more. There are also no signs for price or ingredients, hence the questions. I did have a nice experience with one of the new girls. I’ve been coming to this bakery for about 10 years. I only go there about 2 – 3 times a year, because my parents love their pastries and force me to buy tons of it every time I go to visit them in FL. Every time I go there, I spend about $ 40 – 60 and I always leave very angry; like they’re doing me a favor by selling me the pastries! But back to the FOOD… everything there is amazing! The cakes are very light and cheap. All of their food is very fresh, they bake it on site. Their coffee and bubble tea are one of the best. Their dim sum is also pretty decent. Although there are no signs or receipts, I think the price is also decent, because I’ve always left with bags of pastries.

I Love this place. I live in the apartment building right next to them and cannot do without my morning coffee and almond pastry. The ladies that work here smile and greet their customers. One staff in particular, AMY, is very friendly and even ask how your day is going. I’ve compared their coffee with the nearby bakeries and nothing comes close. They also serve dimsum and ice cream. I highly recommend the pork and shrimp siomai, the almond pastry and the iced coffee.

Their iced coffee here is one of the best compared to most Asian bakeries. They also have a variety of dim sum dishes that you can’t really find in bakeries. Although the pricing may be a bit more expensive since it is right next to a train station, it is definitely worth it! :)

I have to give this bakery ONE star(since I can’t give no stars). I was in Queens having lunch with a friend and as I was walking to the subway, I passed by this bakery and noticed their cakes. I was in a hurry so I took down their phone number to call in about their cake prices. Keeping in mind that this is a Chinese bakery and customer service is rarely a concern. my interaction with the employee was so horrible that I must write a review. So here is what happened, I called to inquire prices on their 3 tier cakes. The lady told me to come in to look at the cake instead. I asked, «Can you just give me an estimated price over the phone?» She responded rudely«Come in to look at the cake because I don’t know what you want.» I told her what I wanted and asked for an estimate but she kept interrupting me. Then I hear a click… she hangs up on me… is it really that difficult? So I called another Chinese bakery to ask the same questions and they were more than happy to provide me with an answer. This was a very upsetting experience. I cannot rate the quality of their bake goods but I can for sure tell you that this place lacks friendly and helpful customer service.

Double Rainbow Bakery is located right outside one of the R Train’s Elmhurst Avenue Station entrances, which makes it a convenient place to stop if you are traveling into or out of Elmhurst. And you should make the stop at Double Rainbow to pick up some of their fine baked goods. Buy more than you need and share with your friends, they’ll thank you. DR has the usual assortment of sweet Asian pastries and cakes, but what really draws me are the savory offerings. Baked buns filled with sweet roast pork. Steamed buns with chicken inside. Pastries made with ham and egg or tuna. If you are unsure about something, go ahead and give it a try. Most most everything is priced between $.80 and $ 1.25. At prices like that, how can you go wrong? There can be a line out the door in the morning. As patrons pile in to buy buns for breakfast and cups of coffee, Double Rainbow starts to resemble a working-class United Nations, representative of the Queens neighborhood where it is located. But don’t worry, the employees there are efficient and you’ll be out in less than five minutes, no matter how long the line.

This place is great. All of their sweet Asian pastries are spot on. Some of the savory stuff is just OK. If you go here between 7:45 — 8:00PM most of their pastries are on sale for 3/$ 1.25. They are definitely worth the ~$.80 regular price, but at these prices, you can gorge yourself on sweets and try new things that you may not normally try.

This is one of the many chinese bakeries around my neighborhood and my favorite. I’ve been coming here for years. Every Sunday after the 1st mass at St. Bartolomew, my husband and I comes here for coffee and hot croissants. Very tasty and delicious. They have a variety of pastries, breads, steam buns, and you can also order made to order cakes. They have this almond tart which is really a treat. One of the best they have so far. They also have 2 kinds of noodles to go… the thin which is the mei fun and the thick noodle packed in a small styrofoam. The girls behind the counter are super pleasant and nice. They have a few stools in front, that’s about it.
