Great deli. Owners and employees are super nice and helpful for recommendations. My favorite is the tuna with giardiniera. Tuna has no mayo and is light and fresh. My wife loves it with their kale salad. It’s our go to lunch spot!

Wonderful deli. Small so seating is limited but they have wonderful sub sandwiches. Nice size and priced well. If you want a good sub sandwich this is the place to go!!!

If you’re in the mood for a good sandwich, great customer service and a reasonably priced lunch, this is the place. I had the number one and it was delicious. I’m not sure what kind of sauce they put on it but it was amazing.(It’s light orange I think) This little sandwich shop is a must! Great work guys.

Good food. Knew someone who worked there and the business seems a little shady so I haven’t been back.

Place came highly recommended and I wasn’t disappointed. I’m usually disappointed by Italian subs, but this place rocked that order. Girl at register suggested chipotle mayo and hot peppers, and it was a brilliant recommendation. In the words of Douglas MacArthur, I shall return! :D

I work close and I’m in there a couple of times a week because the food’s great lunch food and the folks are great to me and my coworkers and as far as I can tell, everyone I’ve seen shuffle up to order something. I have to say, you might get as good a sandwich somewhere else, but that #8 w/the veal bologna, warmed up in the oven isn’t going to be found anywhere else. Better yet, the soups these guys have are some of the best I’ve had. The chicken soups are awesome. The chili is pretty different in a very good way. I like to order something different all the time — love it all. I have not tried the pizza.

Now here’s a place you really need to check out. The sandwiches are very good and super reasonable. There really is no legitimate reason to go to Subway, or one of the other fast food sub sandwich restaurants in town, when you have option like this. The Italian Sub was delicious and with chips and a drink it was only $ 7 and some change. The only other comparable sub in town is Rosalia’s Deli. And, the only real advantage they have is that they offer bakery goods. Oh, and slightly easier parking. As of this writing there are ninety-six restaurants in Elmhurst. I plan on eating at, and reviewing, every one. Follow me on Unilocal

This place is pretty decent. I like the fun twist on the grilled cheese: Fugazzi(#11) and the other two vegetarian sandwiches. The price is affordable! If I can get a sandwich for $ 5 or less, that’s amazing. I am not vegetarian, but I don’t eat much meat. I hate how much meat is stacked on many deli sandwiches, and it seems very meat heavy there. Sometimes multiple meats. I wish there were more vegetarian and healthy options: like something with turkey and lots of vegetables with a balasmic glaze. The pizza is unremarkable(it always looks too burnt for me), and the salads are large and expensive. There is no small option. I wish they had more salad options, including some different pasta salads you could get by the pound. Overall, this place is is pretty good and has a lot of potential. I hope it sticks around!

I just walked over to Fulla Bologna to give it a try. I see it’s been hanging out on the corner for awhile now and considering today’s perfect weather, it was the best possible place for me to grab a bite. An older gentleman was sitting at a table using a laptop when I walked in. He immediately got up and welcomed me, then started telling me about their specials and features. I went with the Fulla Bologna sandwich, because really, I love bologna. Their prices looked pretty fair, and the pizza in the display case looked excellent. I made a mental note to come back and try that, as well as a couple of their interesting-sounding salads like asparagus or kale. My sandwich came out and it was okay. It wasn’t overwhelming in size or flavor. The bologna was really thin-sliced, and the amount of meat you get is kind of on par with what you’d get at Subway. Not an overwhelming amount. Actually the sandwich was rather on the narrow side. I figured I’d take half back to my office with me, but that didn’t happen. If I were feeling hungrier, it might not have filled me up. The service was super. It didn’t take too long to make, considering it was baked. And all three of the folks who I saw working there did so with smiles, providing positive customer interactions. I was pleased, but probably wouldn’t order a sandwich next time. And next time may take awhile. This probably isn’t going on my frequent flier list. Nothing wrong with it, just kind of something I can do myself and when I eat out I like to have things I can’t make in my own kitchen.

I really wanted to like this place being as it’s so close to Elmhurst College and pretty cheap, but the food really isn’t anything special and the people who work here make it a place to avoid. Came here once with my girlfriend’s 3 year old brother and asked to order a single meatball for him. Now I know it’s an exception, but I figured a local business could accommodate a little kid who couldn’t possibly eat an order of 5 meatballs. So the jerk of a lady at the register takes the order with a pissed off grunt, swipes my card, and charges me for an order of 5 meatballs. I eventually got one tasteless meatball for the price of 5. I didn’t give up here. I’ve come back 5 times. Once it was cold dried-out pizza, another was a bland sub with boring deli meats and nothing exciting past that, there was even one time I thought it was positively passable. The problem though really is the service — that one lady again. She really ruins it. I can tell you’re unhappy with your job, but you could put just the slightest bit of effort in so as to not ruin your customers’ days. With the quality of food available in Elmhurst and the neighboring suburbs, there’s really no reason to ever waste your time with this deli.

This place is a gem! I’ve been several times for a few different Sangwiches and they all were fantastic. From the freshness of the meat to the perfect type of bread. The soups and the salads are top notch as well. Not only does the food resemble a meal on Taylor street, by the staff is first class, friendly and fast. Do yourself a favor and try it! Tell em Spaccone sent ya!

After two attempts, I have to admit I’m not super impressed with this place. I wanted to like it, I really did. But I think it’s more due more to my tastes, as I’m not a fan of «lunchmeat» regardless of if it’s smuggled in from Italy or purchased from the local supermarket. So there aren’t a lot of sandwich options for me here. I tried the melty cheese sandwich(sorry, can’t remember the #) and the Corned Beef(#12, Malarky) over two different visits. The melty cheese one was really bland. REALLY. I ended up loading it with sriracha to get it down. The corned beef was incredibly dry. Like, sawdust dry. I’ve never experienced that with corned beef before! As the sandwich was practically swimming in liquid(mustard by my request, not their default), it still made my mouth feel like I took a chunk out of the stale loaf my mom leaves outside for the birds. I’ve heard good things about the other sandwiches and they have nice-looking pizza masquerading as Detroit-style pizza(but not on purpose, I think it’s just the Michigander in me that recognizes it) but I don’t think I’ll be back to try anything else.

There are about a bajillion sandwich shops out there these days, so it can be hard to figure out what’s really worth going to, but Fulla Bolonga is fulla yum. There are plenty of sandwiches on the menu to please your tummy, all sweet names that relate to being«fulla boloney.» Some names include The Narc, White Lie, Malarkey… you get the idea. Even the sizes follow the theme. There are two sizes: fibber and pinocchio, which are 6 and 10 inches, respectively. I got the Blago, which is turkey, bacon, cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato and mayo. You can either get it toasted or have it cold. It was a snowy day, so I got it warm. Besides how good it was, the best part of it is that a 6 incher is only $ 3.99. That’s almost a steal. I always feel like subs are a bit overpriced but I think the price is great for what you get. Like a true deli, they have a display case of cheese and meats. I don’t know that they’re selling these items yet but I hear that they will soon, which would be awesome to get some deli meat while you get your meal for the day. And it’s also nice to see where your meat and cheese is coming from. I’m glad these guys are in town. They may be new, but they’re hella good.

I think this place is awesome. You can tell just by the smell when you walk in the door. I work down the street and we are just loving it. I bought my secretaries gift certs for Christmas. Hoping to order something to throw in the oven on Christmas night. Can’t wait to try the fried bologna sandwich. I plan on working my way through the menu. The place is cozy and cute to sit and eat and the service is excellent.

These folks have absolutely nailed it! The food was outstanding and service damn near perfect. And the prices… a great value here. My wife and I split up #1 and #3 and couldn’t have been happier with quality and flavor of the sandwiches. We also split the chili and a slice of pizza later in the day and it was all magnificent! This little gem will be mixed into our lunch rotation… especially since the little shop Rosalia’s seems to have lost its way.
