The best authentic Mexican food you can find in the neighborhood! Food is always delicious and service is great. The décor is based on the village Juquila, which I adore! My family and I usually eat in or get delivery and the owner is very pleasant, always accommodating to our needs! I really hope this restaurant stays fresh and does not fall off the scale like the other restaurants nearby… hint«Pico De Gallo»…

This place is really good the tacos were tasty and the sauces they give you on the side is delicious especially the green ones. Me and the babe wanted to try different things so we got chicken tacos– really good flavor, saudero taco which was very fatty, carne asado was my favorite it had amazing flavor, the carnita taCo was pretty tasty as well. We also got a al pastor tostado which had great flavor and a quesadilla which my babe said was good I didnt try but it looked good. it came with rice and beans which was super bland the rice wasn’t good but I came for the tacos which didn’t disappoint so all in all it was good food for cheap. The waitresses were really sweet and attentive. Definitely will come back !

Food it’s great, little disappointed since the last time seems that the delicious burritos got smaller but the price remains the same. Nicely decorated quality service, hot chocolate and champurrado very small portion not like in Oaxaca, I like bachata but I tought it was a Mexican place, the music makes you think you are in a Dominican restaurant, nothing else but bachata

This place is pretty awesome for the neighborhood — a diamond in the rough for sure. Clean, colorful, pleasant atmosphere; and the food and price is amaze balls! The staff were attentive and checked in with us to make sure everything was good. Portions are huge! Definitely my go to spot for Mexican cuisine. I am definitely coming back here AND ordering take out during the week for dinners. Better than the taco trucks!

The ambiance looks great. Clean, nice, and not too loud. Nice place to hang out. The waitresses were very attentive to our needs. In terms of food, we had: Guacamole appetizer, it was good. Corn on the Cob Chorizo Taco Carne Asada Taco, it was good. The meat had a wonderful taste. Pescado Taco Carnitas Taco Carnes Enchilada Taco Pescado Taco Suadero, it was ok. Caldo de Pollos y Verduras. It was ok, unlike other places. It was too watery, not much of taste. Disappointed. Other places would have it thick and with flavor all around the soup. Churros, it was not good. It was too hard. It is supposed to be soft and crunchy… Tres Leches, it was good. This place offered a lot of mixed feelings. Some dishes were good and some were ok. Therefore, overall, this place is A-OK place to go for Mexican food.

As a Mexican I’m very picky about Mexican food. I finally found a place where the food tastes 100% authentic. They serve well, the staff is super sweet and the whole place clean from top to bottom. The prices are great for what you get. I’d say I’m in Mexico if I wouldn’t know better. Best place ever!!!

My new favorite Mexican joint! I’ve dined in two times now. The service is great, the place is clean, the food is prepared quickly and tastes delicious. I like the ambience here! I recommend the chilaquiles verde with eggs and the salted beef tacos. Although there is a language barrier at times, the waitresses have been friendly and accommodating. There are more items on the menu I want to try so I will be back!

Omgosh so delicious! Went on an impromptu dinner adventure with friends and got tacos. They were plump with double soft taco shells– yay! The patatas bravas were tiny spicy delicious kicks of flavor. My friend got the wrong taco, so that’s a minus but overall great food and fast service. Will definitely come back.

I called them cause I was starving and just couldn’t walk 1 mile to the place. and I usually walk from 34th street all the way downtown to nyu so I can walk. but I hadn’t eaten the whole day so I didn’t have any energy to walk so I called them to ask for delivery and they said they don’t deliver because I live too far. what? it’s literally a mile. I google mapped it

First time buying food here. I got a chorizo burrito and it was delicious!!! I will go back to try different dishes. The restaurant looks very clean and the decorations makes it stand out from the rest of the Mexicans restaurants around jackson heights.

I was lucky enough to have the chance to sit down and have dinner here with some friends recently and we had a really great time. Quality, service, ambiance and attitude. This place really left a great impression on us. The service was excellent from the moment we walked in and the chips and salsa where fresh and delicious. We had no place to be and it wasn’t too crowded, so we took our time with some drinks and appetizers while enjoying the music and ambiance. Also i liked it that the people at the tables around us where speaking Spanish to each other and the servers, it made me feel transported. We started with some some nachos, and huaraches. The nachos fresh fried corn tortilla with beans and melted chihuahua cheese, jalapeño, and pickles. I had wanted to try something new so I also ordered the Huaraches for us to share and was pleasantly surprised. For those like me who never heard of this, it is a handmade thick tortilla served open faced with beans, shredded lettuce, and cheese. Both appetizers where simple and perfect with fresh quality ingredients. For dinner I had the 40 spices mole with chicken platter served with rice and beans. Holey Mole! Delicious. I am always a huge fan of Mole but this chicken mole was especially good. Mole is A dark red or brown sauce served over cooked meat with chili peppers as the common factor. This was a perfectly complicated blend of spices and not to hot, just perfect. I ate slow and ordered extra tortillas to dip in the sauce. My friends ordered the steak fajitas and the shrimp cocktail and shared. I am not disappointed at all with the mole but next time I am defiantly going to order the fajitas, lots of food, cooked and spiced perfectly. It can and does happen. The shrimp cocktail was fresh and refreshing. Large juicy prawns in a cup of housemaid cocktail sauce set to your level of spice, my friends did right with that order. I came hungry and was very glad I did because I wanted to try everything. Everything I did try was delicious and I will definitely be going back to visit Elmhurst soon. If your in the area, do yourself a favor and bring your family or friends out to dinner at Juquila Mexican Cuisine. Like me, you will be glad you did.

Believe the hype really good Mexican food, great service and super charming décor make this place a win-win-win. We had breakfast here because I was craving chilaquiles and whoa-my-god! It so hit the spot. Going back again to days later for more goodness. Hallelujah! My prayers were answered. This CA transplant found decent Mexican food in JH. Skip the other places, this is the real deal folks.

Another recent discovery, I was walking down 83rd, and I thought… oh god not another Mexican place! Dont get me wrong, I love Mexican food, so much so that friends call me Jamexican(jamaican american mexican) But Roosevelt ave has so many taquerias… I didnt think this one would be any different, but it is. First of all is spotless, super duper eat off the floors clean!!! The décor is welcoming, vivid colors, and spacious(not huge, but a good amount of elbow room) Now onto the food… I played it safe and ordered a carne enchilada taco, a suadero taco, and a barbacoa tostada. Everything was very fresh, and made to order and extremely tasty. The barbacoa really stood out, it was well flavored, not too gamey. Items were served with chopped cilantro, onions and guacamole, and then radishes, grilled nopales, spring onions, and jalapeño on the side. The flavors from the side condiments took my items from 4 star to 5 stars. It’s also worth noting the staff is really nice, great service! I will definitely be back to give their breakfast a try!!!

Updated! The last time I got delivery here, the guy told me to order on the phone next time because they give you a discount, and that GrubHub charges them huge fees, so it would not only help them out, but we would get a discount. Well, the food was still good, but there were multiple problems, and I won’t order here ever again. 1) There was no discount. That’s simple. 2) The man on the phone gave an attitude about taking the order, and in response to our address(which clearly is in their delivery zone) gave MORE attitude saying how far it was. 3) They didn’t get the order correct. Instead of a burrito, nachos, and a cemita, which the guy on the phone repeated back correctly, we received(and were charged for, for that matter): nachos with chorizo and a burrito. Are you kidding me? I did YOU a favor by wasting my time with your obnoxious employee on the phone, and then you fucked up the order and forgot my half of the meal? Thanks so much. So, long story short, the food IS good, but order through GrubHub. It’s not worth your aggravation on the phone or when your order arrives. They are liars, con artists, and can’t even get a three piece order right. Grow up.

I was just looking for a quick taco fix because I’ve heard some good things so I decided to come here. It was a cold day but they started with chips and warm bean salsa. Goat, spicy chorizo, pork and beef confit tacos on freshly made hand pressed tortillas definitely hit the spot. The house made salsa is so fresh and delicious, the avocado salsa was my favorite and a must try. The tostadas also comes in a variety of meats too. Everything is made to order with recipes taken from Mexican grannys. Wash it down with an orange jarrito and you will be happy happy. Spoke with the owner and he said everything is made fresh daily, offered to get me beer because they still working on getting their liquor license. Next was dessert which is also made in house. The tres leche was very good, usually it is overly sweet but this was just right. The churros with chocolate sauce was great, crunchy on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside. Forget the taco trucks on Roosevelt and get the full experience here!
