Every time I come here it’s empty. Where are the people? I came here specifically looking for an item listed on the website. of course. sigh… no luck! Before I even walked to the back where the item«should be» i asked the girl up front where i can find it and if they had them. she looked completely confused and started babbling… sigh. no worries thank you. .I will check myself. NOLUCK! I walked around thinking to myself, why do I ever come here. The prices are way to high, the quality of the items is not very high… why. oh why. I had just about lost all hope until I ran into paper towels on sale at a great price. Ok OK. i will come back. but you all wont be my first pick!

EVERYTIME I go to this place they take so long at the register. There is always an issue with a customer’s purchase. i.e. It has a sale sign but at the reg it’s not on sale etc… there is never enough staff. Usually 1 line open. TODAY: less than a week til Xmas, store is busy, one line open… then while I was waiting they finally open a second. The 2 people ahead of me both had issues with their purchases. They BOTH walked away because the girl didn’t know how to apply their coupons and points. Then I get to her, I tell her to let me know what I have in points… she rings everything up, then tells me as I’m looking at the register that reads that I can in fact go ahead and use my points… that I will have to void everything and she will have to ring up things separate for me to use my points… this is not how it works. Not to mention there was at least 10 people waiting behind me. I have used points several times before, I never have had to buy clothing purchases separate to use clothing points and so on… they computer knows how to separate it… she’s just not trained well. In the end we all know it’s management. They don’t train people and they hire lazy people so what should I expect? Oh well.

If you know me at all, you know that my Grandma pretty much raised me most of my life. And well, she loved herself some K-Mart. Back in the 80s when we didn’t have Walmart or Target in Chicago, K-Mart(and Venture) was the place to be. And we made at least a trip per week to the old K because she shopped there for absolutely everything. Fast forward to 2015 and K-Mart is hanging by a thread and Grandma is no longer with us. When we cleaned out her house you could still see her love for the store, even after she switched to Walmart, because there were things in her house that still bore the K-Mart tag. This K-Mart is pretty standard nowadays. Of the few remaining stores in the area, it’s pretty pathetically standard. There’s not much of a selection, the prices aren’t the best and the employees are few and far between. If Target and Walmart weren’t right down the street I might make due with the big K, but sadly(thankfully), they are and I don’t have to. I stop in now and then because they’re close to work, but I almost never find what I’m looking for. I think I’ve bought things like over the counter drugs, maybe a garden supply or two, and the occasional impulse food item but that’s about it. I feel bad for the state that this once great company/store has found itself in, but I don’t see things improving anytime soon, and by the lack of shoppers’ cars in the parking lot, I doubt that many would disagree. What a depressing review this has turned out to be, right? Kind of like how you feel when you shop here.

I mean, it’s Kmart. What can you expect outta Kmart?! Typically I only come here if I see something in an ad that they have a deal. This isn’t a regular spot for me because of how shabby Kmart is for me. I managed to find a good, well-priced knife set here last week for black Friday so occasionally they have deals but that’s about it outta here.

Spotty inventory, frequently does not stock common items that seem like no-brainers, electronics department looks like Big Lots. Every time I try to save myself a trip to Home Depot, Target or Walmart by stopping at this place, I kick myself for wasting the time. To be fair, I did walk in there once for emergency supplies and they had everything I needed when everyone else was sold out.

Why doesn’t Kmart get it? Most purchases are impulse buys. You needed toilet paper but you saw that feather-duster you might buy. PUTPRICESONYOURMERCHANDISE. Kmart is the worst at displaying prices. This store has 5 checkout aisles. Only one is open and the line is long. The guy in front of me abandons his cart and utters, «life is too short» as he leaves the store. Other employees avoid looking at the irate customers, and continue doing the worthless things they are doing. OPENANOTHERCHECKOUTLANE!!! Shopping carts cluttering the parking lot, overpriced Dollar Store merchandise, no service… Did they take the failed management from their closed stores and move them to their last surviving stores? Kmart SUCKS!

It’s Kmart, another chain store. I would only shop here if I’m in the area and needed something quick that Kohl’s or Dominick’s doesn’t have(this place is in a strip mall type area). Or just lazy to drive to Target or Walmart if it’s out of the way. This comment is their women’s bathroom. Ick, really 3 stalls, one is broken the other is filthily, and the 3rd no toilet paper. I REALLY had to go, I should have gone to Kohl’s. They really needed to clean or check the bathrooms at least every hour. It’s right up front of the store for goodness sake! I’m giving it 2 stars cause the store itself is pretty clean/organized but that’s all folks.
