For some reason, this Kung Fu Tea is not as good as others that we’ve been to, such as in Chinatown or in Brooklyn. We’re not really sure what made it so different but the mung bean wow milk drink that we had elsewhere was much more enjoyable than the one here. The one we ordered here was heavy in milk and lack flavor in everything else. Maybe next time we’ll try something different.

I’ve been coming to this place for over 4 years now and it’s the same good old bubble tea. My usuals the green tea bubble tea w/lychee and 30% sugar. Pretty good but they don’t always listen to the less sugar part so sometimes I could barely finish my drink buuuut its okay.

I love their grapefruit green tea. It’s not too sweet and it’s so refreshing and you can even taste the pulps in the drink. So far this is the only place that I find that serves the best grapefruit green tea!!!

You can customize your bubble tea accordingly to sweetness and lactose milk. That’s a lot better than cheap buy 1 get one free in flushing.

What a difference 3 months make. This service has changed for the better. I’m glad to say the tea is still fantastic and that the people are much nicer. Keep up the good work.

Hot bubble tea season! There is no hot bubble tea in Taiwan according my Taiwanees friends, though. But here is New York. Why not? I order hot matcha milk tea all the time here. The thickness of matcha flavor varies. It is depends on who make the tea. I think they should be careful to keep the same flavor all the time. Sometimes it takes long time to make hot match bubble tea. Therewas a time that it barely taste matcha and it was just like sweet milk. I was disappointment to have it after long wait. If they make it right, there beverages are good. So they just have to keep their tea’s taste stable.

Was ecstatic when I first tried the bubble tea from here because it means that I no longer have to travel to flushing to get some very delicious bubble tea. Extremely sanitary establishment filled with a great variety of flavors along with a very friendly staff!

This is probably the best bubble tea chain in NYC. This location is probably the friendliest. Its located right off of Broadway in Elmhurst, near the Grand st. subway stop. The store is relatively large and the atmosphere is pretty laid back. There’s a couch and a few tables to sit at and drink bubble tea. Its gets pretty crowded here with customers at times, but I’ve never had a problem finding a seat. I’ve tried two flavors of bubble tea, Original Kung Fu bubble tea and Taro bubble tea. Taro is my favorite. The texture and consistency of the drink mixture and the softness of the bubbles coexist really nicely. The flavor and taste is awesome. Kung Fu is my standard to measure all other bubble tea places by. The drink is really refreshing on a hot summer day!

I don’t think it should come as a surprise to anyone who ascribes the«foodie» label to themselves to say that it is very easy to become addicted to one place or dish. In the case of Kung Fu Tea, my addition is very recent and while most rewarding in a culinary sense, it is much more laden with guilt borne of the sheer amount of tapioca pearls I have consumed in the past couple weeks. The funny part is, I was never a gigantic Bubble Tea fan. Sure I had it before, I enjoyed it, but in all the years I’ve had it, it never called back to me. I had a friend once who could consume 4 Bubble Teas in one sitting. I thought this was a tremendous feat, but now I almost get it. This is a small outpost among the many Kung Fu Teas popping up around New York City. Walk too quick and you’ll miss it as is sandwiched between a restaurant and a Fay Da bakery. Inside there’s one lounge-y looking couch and a few tall tables with two chairs each, but this is definitely not a spot to spend hours on end in. The cashier and counter is right in front of you as you enter, along with a TV usually playing Chinese concerts. The staff is very nice and accommodating. Usually all their Bubble Teas have some«percentage» of sweetener(starting at around 30). I found the 30 to be too sweet for my tastes and I asked them to dial it down the next time. I still found that too sweet and decided to cut out the sweeteners altogether and while they made concerned faces, they never fought me on it. The customer is always right indeed! I’ve had two of Kung Fu Tea’s slush concoctions in the past month(multiple times). The first is the Taro Slush, which is exactly what it sounds like. There is a really deep Taro flavor to it, unfortunately the 30% sweetener was a bit too much and overwhelmed the Taro flavor, but I am more sensitive to sweet than the average bear, so take that as you will. My favorite however has become the Red Bean Slush, which is exactly what it sounds like, red beans, ice blended together with tapioca pearls on the bottom(you need to ask for them). I had this with sweetener and again it was a bit too much for me. It was *good* mind you, but I wanted more of the red bean flavor. The last couple times I had it, I asked for no sweetener and it was perfect for my tastes. The only bad thing about Kung Fu Tea? Knowing that I’m totally hooked on it and need to control how many I have in a week. Well, right after I finish the one I’m drinking as I type this review… promise.

Kung Fu Tea makes the best and most consistent bubble tea in my opinion(regardless of location). After moving to Queens, even though I live closer to the one by 7 train, this location seemed to be the one I prefer coming to. There are a few seating available at this specific location which is great for when you are waiting for the order. Or when you just want to sit and enjoy that bubble tea a little before continuing your journey battling that hot New York summer. The staff are really nice and they do seemed to try their best to accommodate customers as fast as they can when there is a long line … especially during those hot and humid days. They are cash only, but I noticed on my latest visit that they had recently installed an ATM machine … and there were people using it as well. Regardless of the weather, I can always count on my Matcha Green Tea with bubble.

I always stop by here and get myself a drink after school. I love their drinks and service here. The workers are really nice and welcoming. This is located in a neighborhood filled with food. I will definitely recommend Kung fu tea when you’re stuck between Kung fu tea and other bubble tea places.

At Kung Fu Tea, you have many options for customizing your drink. You can decide how much sugar you want, how much ice you want, and even the temperature of your drink. I usually order the Wow Milk, which is my favorite drink on the menu, whenever I go to a Kung Fu Tea. Wow Milk tastes like a delicious mix of lactaid milk(which is what they use in most of their drinks) and condensed milk. It’s creamier than milk tea and has a nice light and sweet taste. There are 3 or 4 other bubble tea shops in the area, as well as bakeries and restaurants that sell bubble tea. Most sell bubble tea for lower prices, but I think Kung Fu Tea is my go-to bubble tea shop when it comes to taste. The use of lactaid milk in their drinks also helps.

When this store just opened, the drinks were undrinkable. The employees made it really, really sweet. But over time, they made the drinks just right. Practice makes perfect! I usually get the taro with a small amount of tapioca. The texture of the tapioca is just right but I don’t like the amount they usually put in — too much. Overall, not a bad place to get a drink since the location is pretty convenient from the train station and from homes in the surrounding area.

«YAKULTGREENTEA» all day, everyday. It’s my drink of choice. I really love this particular KFT because it’s in such a convenient location in Elmhurst. I often drop by either before or after a shopping trip to Target which is a stone’s throw away. They recently ran a promotion where for $ 2 — $ 3, you had a choice between a large Ovaltine slush or iced Ovaltine drink if slushies are not your thing. But rest assured, both options are perfect summertime drinks.( ) There is limited seating, but it never gets overcrowded as most people come in, order their drinks, and leave. They’ve kept the space pretty clean, and for entertainment purposes, there’s a flat panel TV mounted to the wall where on rotation music videos of all sorts are being played for your enjoyment or vexation, you know, whatever. This is where I first saw RiRi’s «Only Girl in the World» video which is amazing and a total, and complete explosion of colors & gorgeous outfits! You go, girl!( ) And being the Bajan beauty that she is, I bet Rihanna would order the Passion Fruit Slush. But, I digress…
