Food was pretty solid. BUT — please get new«silverware». Eating your crêpe with what feels like a tree branch is not cool.

Love this place. They have very good crêpes, nice atmosphere, and the people working there have been friendly every time I have stopped in. It’s a bit tricky to park to come here sometimes, but that’s anywhere in downtown Elmhurst, so don’t hold that against them :)

Neat little place in a alley. Parking was a mess and definitely had to get out of my car to look for this place. There was construction right next to it. Parked down the street. Family owned. Check groupon before you come. *Came here on a Saturday morning* Cute décor, small shop. 30 min wait time. Nowhere to sit with a 2 y/o when food was ready but some guy managed to get up and give me his seat/table to eat my food. The guy who made my crêpe, suggested sitting at the bar.(guess he didn’t realize I have a 2 y/o in my hands) (Thanks random dude, saved me a hassle) Customer service could have been up’ed. Smile more. Cheerfulness would have been nice. Even in a busy environment. Smile. LETS talk crêpe — small menu, lots of delicious creative ingredients. From savory to sweet. Everything is crêpe. I went with one that had white chocolate, pretzel, peanut butter. Very delicious. But also, very sweet. I had to go down the street for something savory, because the crêpe itself was beyond sweet for my taste, more of a dessert. Excellent for pancake lovers. Sweet tooth galore. I even scored a topochico(bubble minereal water) there. $ 1.50 — yes. They even had a cute little bottle opener hanging up for it. Score. They have eco friendly forks, spoons, boxes to go. Love that. Busy atmosphere, unique food options.

One of our favorite breakfast/lunch places! It’s a little hard to fine if you don’t live in Elmhurst but after you find it, it’s awesome. It’s very environmentally friendly, and the service it spot on. Please try it if you’re in town!

I love casual places that serve unique food. It is relaxed and fun. You can just pop in or stay for dinner and dessert. Please try the dessert crepes! Yummy! We had a banana crêpe with homemade caramel sauce. It was warm and sweet and melty. So good.

5 stars for great service, location, value, friendly and helpful staff and uhhhhhhmazing crepes! TIP: so this is not a full service restaurant so don’t ask to be seated. Order your food then find a table. I love how cute and quaint this place is. Another tip: park on York St and walk down the alley like entry way. Kind of hard to find if you’re not familiar with the place. So worth it though. I had the lumberjack’d crêpe, a breakfast item served ALLDAY! As a matter of fact, they serve everything in the menu ALLDAY! So this breakfast item consists of eggs, chorizo(you can choose bacon, sausage, chorizo), cheese, and hashbrowns wrapped in the goodness of perfectly cooked crêpe. Drizzled and topped with maple syrup — - mind. blown. My friend had the vegetarian one with hummus drizzle for her shizzle… Although I wasn’t very interested i still tried it and it was super tasty too! Now here’s the panty dropper… Crêpe of the month Amaze Balls crêpe(dessert). Filled with Oreos and white chocolate. I’ve died and gone to heaven, thank goodness I lived to come back because it’s my life mission to try every crêpe they have on the menu. Well done Nu Crepes. Well done!

This place is a hidden gem in Elmhurst. A friend had recommended eating here for dinner, and curiosity had gotten the best of me. Parking can always be tricky downtown, so be aware of that. The staff didn’t seem very interested in being there. Not a one greeted my friend and I when we walked in and it took even longer for someone to take our order. The crepes however were delightful! I’ve never had savory crepes before and it was delicious. I would definitely be back for the crepes!

Went here for lunch on a Friday afternoon. Was pleasantly surprised to see it packed with only one table left to dine at(if you know Downtown Elmhurst, all of the construction has been keeping patrons away, and parking can be a nightmare and it was just that!). I’ve been here several times and they never disappoint! The service was speedy and the crêpe I ordered(Hail Caesar) was amazing! My friend ordered their veggie crêpe(one of her favorites). I really, really wanted to try one of their sweet crepes today but ya know, willpower and stuff, so I’ll save my sweet tooth for another time. The amaze-balls crêpe sounded amaze-balls! Hopefully that stays around for the next trip there! The vibe is very chill in the restaurant and it’s so clean. You get a nice view of the kitchen and you can tell it’s well kept. Love the décor around the place. I will definitely be back!

Oh muh. GAHHHHHHHHH why did I wait so long to come here and enjoy this amazingness!!! I’d had Nu Crepes bookmarked for ages and a zillion people had told me I would love it but I just hadn’t found the time to get to Elmhurst until this week, as I’m on vacation. The husband and I came here for dinner tonight and it. Was. EVERYTHING. We walked in and walked down the stairs into the main dining area. The place is bright, clean, fun and modern looking, with artwork on the walls and a huge view of the kitchen. There’s a wall of fancy sodas behind you when you’re standing at the counter which my husband adored, and another wall full of the glorious crêpe options — split up by breakfast, sweet, and savory. Everything sounded so amazing and I could hardly choose, but I finally settled on the Cali(turkey, ham, spinach, avocado, cilantro lime ranch(WHAT?! Oh hai paradise) and mozz and provolone cheeses). My husband got the Inside Out Boy which had mozzarella, provolone, chicken, chorizo, spinach, and chipotle mayo). The lovely woman who took our order was helpful, casual, sweet, and hilarious. The kind of person you wanna sit down and chat with. We grabbed our seats and only a few minutes later, our crepes arrived. They’re HUGE! And served with wooden, presumably more environmentally friendly, flatware. We wasted no time and dug right in. Mine was AMAZING. The avocado and cheeses sort of melded into a soft goopy ham and turkey vessel. The crêpe tied it all together perfectly. I was so stuffed when I was done, yet wanted more. I actually think I even liked my husband’s better — the chorizo wasn’t oily or too spicy, the chicken was perfectly cooked, and the chipotle mayo was delicious. And there’s a FRIEDEGG in it! How can you go wrong?! There were about three other savory options I wanted to try(I’m lookin at you, Hail Caesar!) but that will have to wait till next time. The crepes came with a side of this incredible slaw that had apples, lime, and tons of delicious cilantro, and was the perfect refreshing accompaniment to the decadent crêpe. As if we hadn’t stuffed ourselves enough, we each got a dessert crêpe — I got the banana and Nutella and the hubs got raspberry jam and Nutella. Here, I noticed the crêpe much more. Light, slightly sweet, slightly eggy, a little chewy, very tender amazingness. Surrounding a generous helping of creamy, warmly Nutella and fresh sliced banana, it was just perfection. I haven’t had this well-rounded of an awesome dining experience in ages. The parking, the staff, the décor, the menu, the food, the dessert… Everything was spot on. I’m so glad Nu Crepes exists. I can’t wait to come back.

The only reason this place is getting 3vs 5 stars is because of the service! The crepes my husband and I had were DEVINE! Love the feel of this place/very environmentally friendly, chic and modern. The crepes were AWESOME. However, the service– which to me– someone who has worked in customer Service most of their life means a lot. The cashier/crêpe maker was SOSTUCK up! I asked for a minor change to my crêpe — add a few chocolate chips IF Possible and I am willing to pay extra. The look on his face, and the long drawn Out«sigh» really turned me off. Will go again for the crepes but will reconsider if the customer service remains crappy!

Nu Crepes is seriously a hidden gem. Great sweet, savory, and breakfast crepes, Dark Horse coffee, Hasselhoff references, how could you go wrong?! This time around, I had their campfire crêpe(think s’mores wrapped up neatly in a cute little crêpe package), which over delivered on marshmallow-y goodness. The chef was eager to share a pro tip with me too: take the left overs & toss it in the freezer. You can eat it like a cookie. I was so intrigued by this that I decided not to over-indulge at the creperie, opting to take about ¾ of my crêpe home to freeze. I can’t even describe how good it was frozen(so good, in fact, that I snarfed it down so that I didn’t have to share it with my hungrier half or my mini-me). Do yourself a favor & venture down the alley at the end of Schiller Street until you find Nu Crepes. You won’t be disappointed(just don’t Hassel the cooks).

Really hard to find. If you are not familiar with Elmhurst’s city center, then it’ll take some walking around with your phones map out. Even then, in spite of all the flags in the alley, each pennant has an arrow pointing down at doors that are not the correct entrance. Yet at its real entrance there isn’t a pennant. Through the glass you can kind of see a giant«NU» in faint yellow which leads downstairs. The menu is posted in giant letters on the walk beside the register. However, the arugula promised on their website has been changed to the cheaper alternative of organic(?) fresh spinach. The ordering process is simple. They’re is free water available. So you don’t have to buy a drink. It is located by the stairs across the room from the kitchen. The cooks and staff are super chatty, but when orders are placed they get straight to work. Which is nice. My Caesar Chicken took only five minutes. The salad dressing was put on top. Everything does come with a small apple salad. It is slightly sour. The utensils are flimsy cardboard knives and forks. The fork is useless as a fork. You get the utensils by yourself near the register. I was pleased. The crêpe was wonderful. The inside had a good mix of both meat and spinach. I am glad I tried this dish first. Its simplicity was a good measure. Next time I may try dessert or the Inside out for the chorizo. At least now I figured out where in the world it is.

I went here based on Unilocal reviews. And they were correct. I had the daily special Blk and Blu crêpe. It was steak, bleu cheese, grilled onions, and a spinach garnish. Yum yum. My friend had the taffy apple crêpe. I had a bit for dessert. Very sweet and tasty. Not that easy to find. It is down an alley. Fortunately there is a board sign on Main Street letting you know where to turn. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Prices were fair. It’s strictly order at the counter. Okay by me. I love trying new places. This was definitely a hit!

Oh Nu Crepes, how I love you so. I’ve only been here for the breakfast hour, but I still managed to enjoy a savory and a sweet crêpe and boy were they good. I’m a sucker for any kind of savory/sweet combo so it’s almost a must to order two crepes. A good way to go is to order a savory one for your meal and split a sweet option with a friend as «dessert!» I really enjoyed the B-5 which includes egg whites, spinach, mushrooms, caramelized onions and swiss cheese. De-lish! For my sweet option I dove into a lemon flavored crêpe that had powdered sugar. It was the perfect amount of sweetness without being overbearing. A good choice if you want to at least feel like you’re being a bit on the healthier side. This adorable little creperie is hard to find if you aren’t sure where to look, so take note — it is just down the alley way! I can’t wait to come back for lunch or dinner! So crêpe-tastic.

I stopped here for a quick breakfast on my way into the city based on Unilocal reviews, and once again, Unilocal did not lead me wrong! I got the banger toastie crêpe, which was HUGE. I couldn’t even finish it. The garlic mayo was a really nice balance to the very savoury sausage and cheese. I would have liked if there was even a bit more mayo on the crêpe, since it was so savoury. The flavours mixed really well together and I even liked the slaw they serve on the side, although I’m not a huge fan of cilantro — the sweetness of the slaw balanced out the savoury crêpe. The location is in an alley and is a bit complicated to find, and there was a huge lineup when I got there(noon-ish on a Friday), but the food was very good and well worth it.

This place is absolutely tasti-tastic! So reasonably priced. Great variety. I would highly recommend splitting a savory and splitting a sweet crêpe between two people(if dining alone, then two for yourself!) Started with the banger toastie-really savory! So good but almost hard to eat the last bit because it is so intense. Was almost refreshing to make the switch to intense sweetness with the Nutella peanut butter. That order we split, and I felt like I would definitely have had no issue swallowing the two yummies. Wish they had fresh juice options… did not really like having to grab a canned beverage. Am excited to return in the future and try out some more!

First time here and def not my Last. Got a groupon for it. Should have gotten two the entire menu is crepes no bread, there are options for breakfast lunch and dinner. The two people working were super nice and told us about the menu, told her we were newcomers! You order at the counter, get a buzzard, when it vibrates your food is ready, go up and get your food and drop off the buzzard and you are ready to eat The place is SO clean and modern, when you go in there are stairs to go down but there is also an elevator too. They have a great selection of drinks, i got blood orange carbonated water. Tasty there is no coke or pepsi …

Awesome sauce. This place was reviewed by many trusted fellow elite Unilocalers, so when this site was suggested to me for dinner time, I was really pumped. The site itself was a bit tricky to find– its down a nice alley. It shouldn’t have been hard, but I was already flustered with all of Elmhurst’s one way streets and weird parking situations, but once we found it, I was immediately relaxed. Nu Crepes has such a cool vibe! As you walk in and down the stairs, you are welcomed by bright colors and cool mechanical objects– the fan was my favorite item! The shop is owned by a mother/son duo were were super nice and patient with my indecisive self. I ordered the Inside Out boy, a savory crêpe with a fried egg, chicken, chorizo, spinach, cheese and a special sauce. This thing was loaded up, especially with the chorizo. Very savory, but the crispy, light sweetness of the crêpe helped balance the flavor. Definite winner! The apple slaw was definitely nice and refreshing– it made me think that they could blend it, add some booze, and you’d have a hell of a cocktail! My date and I wanted to save room for dessert, but our crepes were so good, they were gone before we knew it!(We were committed to the cause, what can I say??) Upon the realization that yes, we did totally pig out on our crepes and were full, I got really disappointed. I was eyeing that sweet crêpe menu and desperately wanted to order a crêpe for dessert– the Campfire crêpe was especially calling my name. We are NEVER dessert people, but were more than willing to make an exception here. But alas, there was no room– guess that means I’ll have to come back ASAP!

My friends and I came here for brunch. This is a restaurant where you’ll order and pay up front, and when it’s ready the buzzer that they give you will buzz and you’ll go up to pay. They have both sweet and savory crepes. I had the rockin chicken crêpe which was grilled chicken breast with mayo and hot sauce. It was pretty good. Two of my friends ordered their Indie Burger crêpe. They thought it was good, too. Another friend ordered their Cesar crêpe and something else. The nutella and banana crêpe was my favorite. The nutella with peanut butter crêpe was interesting but still good. We chatted there for awhile. The utensils were environment friendly. Good food. We had a good time. Street parking.
