There are three Subways in town. The cashier lady at this location is super friendly. Well … she remembers who I am. LOL, I consider that friendliness. The competition, across the street, is Jimmy Johns. This Subway has a couple of advantages over JJ’s. One, parking at JJ’s is difficult. In fact, this Subway has the best parking of all the Subway’s in town. Second, they are right next to Ace Hardware. I spend a lot of time there, usually grumbling about the prices. Third, there’s an Oberweis in the lot. I was toying with giving this place four stars, because of the staff, but … it is Subway. As of this writing there are ninety-six restaurants in Elmhurst. I plan on eating at, and reviewing, every one. Follow me on Unilocal

We’ve all been to a Subway, and its hard to set them apart, but I really enjoy going to my local subway. I come here everyday for lunch and I always look forward to getting my Buffalo Chicken Footlong. The staff is friendly and knows me by name. I don’t even have to give them my order at this point because they already know what I want on my sub. They always engage me in conversation and I have built a good report with the staff. They are also very quick in making my order and are accurate in the ingredients. As long as they keep up the great effort, I will continue to enjoy my lunch in their restaurant.

What can you say… its Subway and they do what they do. Friendly service and very efficient. They get you in and out during the lunch rush and always with a smile.

This is by far the worst subway around, it is never clean, they charge for everything extra, and it is always very hot — like they are too cheap to put on the air. They lost my patronage by charging for veggies on a sausage pizza. Don’t go here! There are many other subways near by, who actually care about their customers.

I could over look the higher prices of this Subway due to it’s location in a mall, however when I have to ask for extra everything in regards to the vegetables and receive a snippy attitude from the workers when I ask for more is inexcusable. This is by far one of the most stingy, unfriendly, nickle & dime you Subways that I have ever been to. Apparently you are only allowed 8 black olive slices or 4 green pepper slices and then they want to charge you $ 0.50 more for each item. My sandwich was definitely not made my way and the women working there were not very accommodating. I would prefer to give my business to any of the other 4 Subways in the area than this one in the mall.

I stopped at this Subway on my way to a gig in Elmhurst the other day. I got what seemed like a safe choice(and has proven so in the past — a six inch turkey sub), but for some reason the salt level was so high that I ended up throwing half the sandwich away. I don’t make a habit of going to Subway, but it was the only thing that looked halfway healthy in the near vicinity. Bah! Not with 450000 milligrams of sodium per bite! Ick! Sheesh. I’m not sure if Subway changed their ingredients or what, but I’ve never tasted anything like it.

Clean location and friendly staff. They go out of their way to make our kids feel welcome. Last time the girls got free cookies and lots of attention. Subway will never, in my opinion, compare to Potbelly… but it has its place in the world and if you like Subway too, this location is a winner.

There really isn’t much to say about my Subway experience since there is no waiter present. I just wanted to put this one on the map because its clean, the location is easy(right off of Butterfield and York Rd.), and the service was friendly(even during the afternoon corporate lunch hour: D).
