I hate hot dogs, never liked them as a kid, or as an adult… EXCEPT M&M hots, they are to die for and still taste as good as they did when Grandpa used to get them. The french fries are the best in town and taste like fries are supposed to taste. Once you’ve had the best hotdog with the best meatsauce on earth you just can’t eat them anywhere else. I travel a lot and as soon as I would come home I would head straight for them and so do the other members of my family. Love the family that runs this place, always a good word! Thank you for all the happy memories and the fantastic food! Don’t change anything!

Great little place in sadly decaying downtown Elmira… seriously delicious meat sauce(more meat than sauce actually)…totally unique and totally delectable… a real locals place too… and a major glimpse of history… can’t love it enough!

The best things are the historical interest and the crazy fast service. We ordered three meat sauce hots and cokes and had them in about 60 seconds. Then we mused about their history while we chowed down hots like my dad probably ate there when he lived in elmira in the 1940s. They’ve been open 95 years. About the hots… the style is boiled dogs on steamed buns. Toppings are meat sauce, onions and mustard. Ketchup is on the counter too. I recommend loading up. This is the style of super fast cheap food of the 1920’s, 30’s and 40’s. I must admit I’m partial to time machine diners.

I used to go here all the time as a kid and love the red hots with everything. Ive moved from the area but whenever i go to visit home i always stop to get those familiar red hots. Nothing close to them anywhere else.

Sometimes all you need is a couple of hot dogs and a side of fries to have the perfect meal. M&M red hots will fulfill this craving perfectly. A great old school joint, complete with staff that have a unique language for relaying orders, and a shape bar to eat at and tasty toppings for the hots. Come in for hot dogs and leave satisfied.

Simple, yet complex. Common but qui a bon quot., The perfect juxtaposition of meat sauce, mustard & weinie. Poetry and sculpture, all with a Grateful Dead flair. As good as it gets anywhere, hot dog wise

Good standard Texas hots. Nothing special except that this type of place is disappearing. Go for the dogs with onion and mustard; not the atmosphere. A Grateful Dead theme; really?

You have not truly had a hot dog until you have had a «Texas Hot with Everything» at M&M’s. There is no place in New England, let alone Boston that comes even close to the absolute scrumptiousness of their meat sauce. Mmmmm!
