My husband and I had to move three gigantic heavy cabinets/​chests into our home in Greenpoint. In addition we also had to have Patrick and team move out three equally heavy cabinets out the home.
Patrick and his partner executed the job professionally and with a positive attitude. The cabinets were wrapped safely and everything was delivered on time and as planned. They guaranteed the arrival time to pick up destination (short hills) and again execution was flawless. We are happy with the moving experience and would definitely use his services again in the future. We Recommend.

Patrick is the best moving guy I’ve ever met, and his team are rad. I’ve moved more times than I can remember, in New York, and Los Angeles. This company is the best, in every way.
They are hard-​working, polite, friendly, reliable, honest, patient, and something special… they are supportive. They understand that moving is stressful, and so they’re kind as well as strong and hardworking.
They are prepared, they had saran wrap for an item of furniture that needed it to be moved.
The vehicle was in great condition, they had a traffic cone for when the doors are open.
They have a moving dolly, and they work together as a team, like clockwork.

Having just found these guys on Craigslist, I was worried that this would be a no show, or perhaps some shady operation. Not so. I arranged to move a couch with Patrick quickly and efficiently via text. he showed up a little late, but that is to be expected, I think considering he must travel all over the city. He kept me posted via text about the change in his arrival time.
When he arrived, I was surprised to see that he had a crew of two other guys with him, I was already very happy with the price he quoted to move the couch, but then to discover I wasn’t going to have to lift a finger to move the couch? i was thrilled.
Unfortunately, the couch wouldn’t fit into my apartment’a weird entryway, but Patrick and his crew exhausted every possibility to get the couch inside, even after it seemed clear that it was a pretty hopeless proposition.
I would absolutely recommend East Kings Group for this type of job. Patrick and his crew were friendly, professional and honest.

A man named Patrick replied to a posting that I put up on Craigslist to move my mattress from Murray Hill to Rego Park. I received a few responses but what stood out to me was he fact that he had this Unilocal page and decent reviews. That said, I decided to pick him for the move.
We came to an agreement via email and confirmed on a Friday an 11am Sunday pick up and drop off — initially super easy and quick. The morning of, I followed up with him again at 7:28am to triple check and confirm that we were still on.
It wasn’t until 9:21am that he responded to want to move the move to 1pm. At that point I was already on my hour long commute into the city so I told him no it was too late and that we had already confirmed for an 11am appt. He replied back and said that he had an «emergency» and couldn’t do it until later. Figuring it was easier to call him, I did and he answered. He didn’t know me. Didn’t know what we were talking about. And further, he asked for an even later pick up time. At this point I was already in the city just waiting around for him to make a decision. He asked if he could «call me back» and I finally told him no as I didn’t want to continue waiting around for him.
All in all, I’d definitely advise you against ever hiring Patrick or whatever this company is because he/​they were incredibly flakey, unprofessional, and a straight up pain in the ass.
I hope I save any inconvenience for prospective customers.
PS I never ever take the time to write a Unilocal reviews but this one was too frustrating to not share. Giving him a 1 star was over generous but that was the only option.

We’d hired a man with a van to help pick up a couple of items around the city, and he bailed — so we called Patrick last minute. He was AWESOME — professional, prompt, really friendly and reasonable on the quote. It might be slightly higher than some other similar places, but with the price you’re getting a good attitude, diligent movers, and very professional service. I would definitely recommend this group to anyone I knew — they had to maneuver a sleeper sofa down a tiny Greenpoint staircase and did it quickly and with a sense of humor. Definitely hire these guys!

I needed help moving items from my storage unit in Brooklyn to my new apartment in Queens.
All the companies I found via Google charged way above my budget. I found EKG through Craigslist. Their estimate was a little higher than I had hoped but still much cheaper than the other options I’d looked into.
I was initially very nervous about meeting up with random dudes in a van, so I brought along a friend to avoid ending up on a milk carton. The van has two rows of seats, so 4 (probably 5) people can ride comfortably without having to cram together.
Patrick and his helper showed up right on time and were friendly, professional and not even slightly creepy. They loaded and unloaded all my belongings quickly, carefully and cheerfully (despite the walkup!).
Worth every penny (once I saw how HUGE their van is, I realized how much gas must cost). I highly recommend EKG!
