Food was pretty good. Adequate I’d say. Place was clean. Staff were friendly and competent. Food was good but not amazing. Music was really loud and really annoying. I don’t even know how to describe it– 80s funk? I’m not sure if it’s always like that or just on the day I went but it was pretty horrendous.

Well just a quick update, unfortunately standards have gone down here. Burgers come out super duper oily. Like dripping! Wait staff is friendly, but don’t wear hair nets or Hats for that matter. The back counter is a mess and the tables aren’t really that clean. It’s sad, because I thought they would keep up their standards. it’s one of the better chains and they have good burgers!

Ok had it a few times now and I just don’t get it it’s okay. That smash sauce is gross and kills the burger. Also I think the burger is okay get a better burger locally at a bar (as long as it’s not a frozen patty). Also at 5 guys and Cheeburger.
Only thing good is the milk shakes sorry I gave it a few tries but not my thing … Had way better burgers at other spots on SI.

I found a hair in my food and the Burger was raw and I was treated so nasty when I treat to send it back NEVER GOING THERE AGAIN !! Save your money and pick a different place!

Horrible. Spent $ 47 and walked out starving. The staff is rude the booths are so small you could barely seat 4 with out being on top of each other. The burgers were about 2 ounces at $ 8 it’s the last $ 47 they’ll ever make on me.

Hamburgers are just okay. What I don’t like you that you’re paying a lot of money for a frozen burger. There are better hamburger joints in the area On the positive the staff is very friendly and goes out of their way to be accommodating. Also the shakes are delicious and are made withHaagen Dazs ice cream.

Great fast food place. High calories like any other fast food restaurant but I don’t come here to eat healthy.
I actually haven’t even had one of their burgers yet. I’ve been here twice and have had the crispy chicken Bleu cheese sandwich with buffalo sauce. It’s delicious.
I also love their sweet potato smash fries which are covered in olive oil and rosemary. Also delicious. I also like that they are thin fries. They give you a good portion.
Great for a quick bite that’s delicious but not good if you’re watching the scale.

I been to many smashburger locations including city and new jersey. I am shocked that this store is way overpriced comparing to NYC and NJ. Even upscale town in jersey, their menu prices are even cheaper than this Staten island location. First time, I been to this location, they screwed up my order. Shake took forever to come. Order two smash fries. one has enough olive oil however, second it seems like lacking of olive oil. not consistent.
I won’t come again unless there’s a coupon. without a coupon, four people would cost 60ish dollars for burgers, drinks/​shakes and fries. Paying this much, I would rather go to a normal restaurant and dine.

It’s a good spot. The food is better than the place. I feel like I’m sitting in a McDonald’s on 34th Street but paying a lot more for the food. I will say that the order came out wrong and they did everything to make up for that mistake by offering us free sides.

Friendly workers, clean place. Food is ok, burgers came out well done instead of medium rare like I was told they cook them. Too much salt used in fries and crispy chicken was too dry. Meat is not organic and may have steroids and antibiotics in it, although 100% fresh.
Not my cup of tea.

We checked this place out the week it opened and it was really tasty. When we walked in, we weren’t sure what to expect. We read the menu and our cashier was happy to explain everything in deep detail.
My husband and I both got the spicy jalapeño baja burger and it was just awesome. Their signature fries were probably one of the best fries I ever had in my entire life. My husband also ordered a shake (think it was peanut butter) and it was tasty (I snuck a sip, or two).
Overall, we really enjoyed it– it was really tasty and a little messy. The only thing I wouldn’t recommend is buying bottled water, huge ripoff. Def check it out!

Had to wait for rite aid next door to call me for a cream so I figured I would give this place a try as they new and I have been trying to try them out.
Straight to the point, there’s so many great burgers options in this country that you can’t expect to be less than perfect when you charge 9 $ for a burger with no soda and fries.
Made my own burger, wait was decent (3 to 5 mins) server was a little confused tho.
First bite, damn it’s me or its damn salty.
Second bite, so salty
Third bite, definitely salty. Too bad I have to throw it out and drink a 22oz soda in one two three.
I also got some fries (4 $) on the side, they were good nothing mind blowing. How you fuck that up in this country tho?
Sadly I won’t come back, I never left a burger chain disappointed. I’ll drive 2 mins to five guys down the mall.
For the manager or owner, step up your game you have good potential.

Burger was delish… but usually when you order an avocado club burger you expect avocado on it when you get home and sit down to «enjoy». So beyond annoyed over this. The smash fries are really good and so are the fried pickles. I’m just too annoyed over my lack of Avocado.

Have been here twice. First time everything went well. Place was crowded, but we managed to find a table. Food was served promptly, and the order was correct.
Second time, not so much. Restaurant was not crowded. Wait staff seemed frazzled, having to run to several tables (including mine) to correct orders that came out wrong, or were incomplete. When the order finally arrived (in multiple waves) you could tell that it was rushed.
In short, it seems like this may be a staff training issue, but if they do not get their act together soon, they will be out of business.
The difference in the quality between my first and second visits does not give me much hope that this place can salvage itself.

Meh. The service was quick, I ordered it ahead of time and it was ready when they said it would be. However, the food was sub par. The burgers and fries left much to be desired. It was just too greasy and there wasn’t much meat in my burger. The flavors were decent, I had a burger in the spicy bread but like I said it didn’t have enough meat. I probably won’t return soon.

This is my first time at a smashburger and I have to say it’s delicious! I ordered the big Classic smashburger. I figure if you can mess up a classic burger then there’s a problem. The meat was fresh and didn’t taste like that fake meat you get at other places. I also ordered the classic smash fries and they are delicious! Crunchy shoestring fries with seasoning (you don’t need to use ketchup if you don’t want).
The vanilla Oreo milkshake was phenomenal (but how can it not be when it’s Haagen Daaz ice cream)
It was crazy busy because it was opening day but I have to say everyone was friendly and worked quickly.
One thing I would recommend is that it’s probably better to stay then take it to go because the Brioce bun can get a little soggy.
