As an out of towner who visits the area fairly frequently, it’s nice to find decent alternatives to Shady Maple when you’re just not in the mood for a massive buffet. This places delivers, with a clean, quaint atmosphere, friendly proprietor and solid menu. My chicken steak sandwich was loaded with meat and about the best I’ve had. Will be back!

As a native of the Delaware valley I believe I know a bit about cheese steaks whether beef or chicken and the Elverson deli has always delivered a great steak. Can’t say the same for some of their other offerings as their ingredients seem to vary and there is not a consistent taste.

The ladies that run this place are fantastic– but not as fantastic as their chicken salad wrap with provolone lettuce and tomato. Ah. It was SO good! My mom had a tuna wrap and we both agreed they were some of the best we had ever had– which is saying something in my book. A great little place. The phone number didn’t work though so I’m not sure what that’s about… You should walk on in and give ‘em a try.

A comfortable hometown place with plenty of menu choices. The historic building is an appropriate setting for this«downtown Elverson» sandwich shop. It was apparent that the interior was recently renovated. The place is as neat and clean as you could ask for. The gentleman at the counter was helpful, friendly, and personable. The sandwiches were hot, made from fresh ingredients, and like everything else in the place, very neat and tidy(see photos). My daughter gave me a taste of her Buffalo Chicken Sandwich, and it was very flavorful and tasty. I got the Pizza Cheese Steak. While delicious in its own right, it deviated from my personal preferences and expectations(which is why I am giving four stars instead of five). I tend to like discreet layers in my pizza steak… meat, sauce, cheese. Then toasted lightly under a broiler to melt the cheese and toast the roll. Their sandwich had the meat, sauce, and cheese all combined into a single«filling», placed neatly in the roll and served(not broiled). Definitely a place I will return to!
