The Plum House

I stayed here for 4 nights while visiting my daughter. Rooms were very clean and the kitchen was fully stocked. I highly recommend this place for anyone staying in Elwood!

As this was our first ever stay at a bed and breakfast and weren’t really sure what to expect. We had two of the three rooms and found that the venue it self was extremely well looked after inside and out. It was also a smoke free venue.
Our host Steve, looked after us well with cold water, juices, and yogurts in the fridge. Coffee and a large variety of make-​it-​yourself breakfast items as well as fresh fruit were also available.
The rooms were all themed, tastefully decorated, and very clean. Fans and lights were provided as well as bed side lamps for a bit of night time reading. The beds were not too firm and not too soft for us and we had a great nights sleep every night (we had three nights).
If we were in the area again we would definitely stay here!

The ONLY place to stay in Elwood. This is actually called the Plum House. It’s purple.
The folks who own it are a sweet older couple. The accommodations are lovely. The bathroom is shared but is kept clean and well stocked. There is a community kitchen for guest use.
The one star off is for the fact that the TV wasn’t working while I was there.
