Absolutely the best chocolate in northeastern Ohio! The dark chocolate is my favorite candy, especially the dark chocolate break-​up. The dark chocolate melt-​aways are tasty, as are the turtles & sea turtles. The holiday chocolates taste fresh, not stale or hard. Have been a customer for over 20 years and would definitely recommend this establishment for candy & confections! Bravo to one of Elyria’s finest businesses!

Best Sponge (Seafoam) candy in the world… Used to buy it from their cousins in Erie, PA. Then moved to Elyria, and found Suin L’s… The have homemade chocolate items everyday… and special treats on special days (Holidays)…

Don’t buy anything here at full price! Chocolate is okay; Lilly Chocolates is better. The store is huge and, as a result, appears sparsely stocked. A chocolate bunny was $ 14, and it was pretty small. This place is comparable to Malley’s. I was the youngest patron in the store today (30). The place smells musty; I’ve never been in a chocolate place that smelled like this before. Some of the chocolate looked chalky, like it underwent a temperature change (froze).
The gift boxes looked cheap. Even if the chocolates taste good, the gift box design is not impressive, especially if you pay $ 50.
We waited in line for a half an hour. The chocolate coconut eggs I purchased were disgusting. The label was misleading. It did NOT say «coconut crème»; leading me to think it was like other chocolate covered coconut (think mounds bar).
We waited in line for thirty minutes; the cashiers were slow. It took that long for six customers to be rung up. No one was getting excess items or gift wrap… it was odd.
All in all, I was not impressed by anything here… but it’s in Elyria. If you compare this place to Hershey’s, it’s divine… compare it to Sweet Designs, Malley’s, Lilly chocolates or uk Cadbury and you’re not impressed.

Suzin L has been a staple in my family since before I can remember. The chocolate is the best I have had — so creamy and melty. Some of our favorites include: chocolate covered pretzels, chocolate covered oreos, mint melt aways, and just the plain old foil wrapped chocolate (hearts and eggs at Valentine’s Day and Easter). If you have not tried it, please do! You will not be disappointed! And now that I live out of the state, I can still enjoy with online ordering :)
