Sheetz

All Sheetz’s are great but this one really impressed me. We stopped on a Saturday around lunchtime and they were very, very busy so we expected the food we ordered may take some time. No problem, if we were that concerned we could have gone to McDonalds next door. We paid and waited maybe 10 minutes which really is not horrible. Upon picking up our order we were handed a $ 5 gift card and a heartfelt apology that our order took so long. Seriously, I’ve waited longer than that in empty Sheetz’s. The food was perfect, just as we had ordered and we were very impressed by the small gesture of customer service.

Personally, I prefer Sheetz over other available mini markets in our area like A Plus Sunoco or Turkey Hill Minit Markets. The Made To Order and three cents off gas per gallon are nice incentives. Elysburg Sheetz is an older, slightly smaller location in need of an overhaul. I don’t stop here that often, but what annoyed me about my visit was I wanted to buy a lottery ticket, and the system was down… because they ran out of paper. Really? Went across the street to the Turkey Hill Minit Market that didn’t have problems with there lottery machine.

The coffee is good, and I stop for a cup most days. The MTO drinks are good as well.
On the other hand, the «MTO» food is average. I will eat it when necessary, but it’s nothing to write home about. Wawa definitely has them beat.
The staff is personable. Multiple employees go out of their way to chat with you, and they always seem to care about the customer.

I’ve never had a bad experience here, the staff has always been friendly and the food good. Also with my weis gas points I get discounted gas along with my sheetz card.

This is a great sheetz and the staff is incredibly friendly. The food is delicious and reasonably priced.

Service here — two stops in two days, coming and going from my destination — was not as slow as the other reviews would make you think. I suppose other grocery stores in PA have them, but this is a great place to stop and pick up Utz potato chips and Tastykakes. They may sell nutritious food also, but who knows?

Easy In and easy exit. Has a no fee ATM

Apparently in life there are two types of slow:
1. Normal slow
2. Sheetz in Elysburg slow
We had just left Knobels and instead of paying for their overpriced slop we opted to pay for Sheetz overpriced slop and this was a mistake.
Other than the shift manager everybody else was fairly clueless.
She and another person were attempting to handle all of the food orders, of which there were many, but at the same time the girl working the register kept having issues with the register accepting credit cards, Sheetz Cards, and several other things and that kept the line at the register painfully long and the line waiting for food even longer.
After more than twenty minutes I had the four things I ordered and finally was allowed to leave before starvation forced me to sleep in the parking lot as vital organs began to shut down due to malnutrition.
I suppose if I were in the area again I might stop as there is not much here and this place is close to Knobels but at the same time, if I could find a different place and I remembered this review I would definitely keep driving.

Every time I’m back in the Coal Region I look forward to vising sheetz! Sheetz blows WaWa out of the water! The food selection is way better featuring awesome nachos, and pepperjack cheese. While I think the espresso drinks can use some work I’m usually pleased with the self-​serve selection at the machine.

Ugh, what to say about Sheetz.
Well, I like to get gas here… it’s quick, easy and close to home. I rarely see pumps out of service.
Food service — UGH, I’d rather god out and kill a chicken for my own sandwich. It literally takes 20 minutes to make a bagel with butter… Come on.
But, the service (at times) is great. There are a few ladies there that are a complete delight to talk to. I wish they were there every time I had to go in!
Avoid the MTO line

Great place to get fuel, and they now offer diesel. MTO can be slow at times. Still a must stop.
