I believe the business is now known as The Wilderness and may be under new management. Well worth stopping it is located right on hwy 60 on the western side of Elysian. The Monday rib special was great!

Burgers are huge here! Decent flavor and you’ll be full! The log cabin ambiance is very«Northern Minnesotan». You definately feel the cabin theme within — like Dan mentioned with Elk’s head. The service is ok — better in the bar area. They also have a neat little gift shop within the restaurant — focused on Minnesota, of course!

Not too bad a place. A huge Log Cabin Restaurant out in the middle of nowhere. Near Waterville… kind of. You’ll know your in the right place if you see a huge Elk’s head bolted to the wall. The service is not too bad, and the food is pretty good. They also have bar services. If yer in the area, give ‘er a try!
