CMC Rebar Golden Gate

It was raining. We were in the car, crawling northbound on Pierce Street towards Central Avenue.
We’d just left Daimo, home of tasty rice porridge that would have been perfect on this rainy fall day, except Daimo was unexpectedly closed.
The distance to Central and the freeway entrance was less than 200 yards, but Pierce was packed with cars, presumably all sadly leaving Daimo.
Still, civility prevailed, with people allowing each other into traffic from the numerous parking lot driveways. We were suffering, but, as fellow human beings, we were in it together.
That is, until a white, CMC Rebar work truck sped past dozens of us along the gutter. What would take us ten minutes to traverse, they did in ten seconds.
Were the workers responding to some emergency? Surely they were just going to turn right into one of the driveways; surely they weren’t just cutting in front of all of us like self-​entitled bullies.
Oh no, wait, there they went, barging back in once room ran out along the gutter. We were all left powerless to respond. Except. .. there is the power of Unilocal.
Shameless, selfish, and unprofessional. That was the reputation shared today by the CMC Rebar workers, whether on their way to or from work.
