I shoot here and depending on my schedule it can be a few times a week. I like the staff which are friendly and courteous. Decent range rates and well maintained. Some firearms for sale and for rent. It’s safe to say that if you have any questions about firearms, the staff is knowledgeable and in most cases be able to answer your questions, especially for beginners.

My dad and I went to this location and appreciated the conversations with the employees. George was knowledgable and provided various, useful pointers when shooting a pistol.

To give a little insight where my opinion comes from I am a USMC veteran, Combat Marksmanship Coach and competitive shooter(pistol and rifle). I stopped in at Higher Ground on my way home after a competition because I shot poorly and wanted to blame my gun and say my sights were malfunctioning. Upon arrival I explained my situation and asked if i could borrow a punch to work on my sights. The RO(Range Officer) asked if he could shoot a few rounds to see if it was my form, not the gun. It was not the gun. Range time was reasonably priced, they did have a small selection of firearms for sale and some weapons to rent. The facility was well lit, well maintained and the RO was polite and not intrusive. The range only extends out to 25 yards, as it is indoor. Overall the staff was friendly and accommodating. This is certainly a smaller facility than others in the Valley, but it is definitely worth a visit. I cannot attest to the quality of instruction as I haven’t taken any classes there. The décor and feel of the place is a bit more military surplus shop than most, but that’s not a bad thing. Not exactly a boutique experience, but a no-nonsense facility that you won’t be disappointed with.
