Motel 6

A Five Star Motel 6? YES!
This little hidden gem is in the middle of nowhere, between Woodland and Williams of I5. Take my word for it, skip the cheap motels and for the same price, stay here. Why would this Motel 6 be better than others?
First, the grounds are gorgeous. The pool sparkles. Its pet friendly, so there’s plenty of space to walk your dog. Are you accustomed to M6’s thin walls, crappy beds and paper-​thin bedding? Well, this place is laid out like old-​style motels: single story, independent wings with about 8 rooms. Its well insulated so you won’t hear your neighbor. The bedding is very nice, the mattress is a pillow-​top, and the single room has a queen bed! With 4 plush pillows!
The furniture is quite nice, the vanity area houses a separate closet with an iron and board and the bathroom actually has a bathtub!
Bonus: a microwave and a mini-​fridge, plus a writing desk.
If you’re cruising down I5, do yourself a favor and skip Williams and Woodland and stay here instead. :)
Cons: the only walking distance restaurant is a Jack in the Box, but there are other places you can drive to, and there are also a couple little convenience stores.
Pro: the birds. OMG. Just take a little time and listen.
