Looks like all the business on the road are closed down. So sad, wonder what happened here?

Tried to eat here today… came off I-95 headed north. It was temporarily closed. If there was a reason, it wasn’t legible from the road, nor a potential reopening date. Better call first. Disappointed.

Charming little place with solid sandwiches and super, personable service. Nice to have somewhere local just a few minutes off the highway. Very cool collection of 1940s newspapers inside, too.

We came here because we are in town for retreat and were looking for a place to work with Wi-Fi. Food was fantastic, service was amazing. This little coffee shop is a jewel! The menu is great, perfect for breakfast or lunch. They close at 3PM.

Great local place for a quick bite off the highway. Support local small business! Very polite and prompt service. Friendly owners made conversation with us. Great atmosphere. Beachy, calming color scheme. Menu is build it yourself, so make sure you specify which sandwich items you like or else it will come plain. We would definitely recommend this place to others!

Another fantastic breakfast sandwich and great cup of coffee. Called in from the county line… order was waiting with a smile! Turkey, pepper jack, pesto, lettuce, tomatoe, egg, mayo, pickles on a croissant. That’s the way to start the day!!! thank you!

Very friendly service, with great sandwiches! I usually order a palm sandwich which is always delicious. Definitely worth the drive into town if you’re traveling.

Very nice(vegetarian friendly) lunch on a road trip. They have a few different kinds of sandwiches, plus you can make your own.

Awesome place! Just stopping by and its def worth the trip off the highway. The pumpkin pie chai latte is VERY pumpkin flavored! I loved it, tasted like I was drinking pumpkin pie. A different take on it, but great for this cold day. :)

This place is a gem and I plan to patronize it regularly, because as far as I can tell it is the only real coffee shop in the area. The owners are sweet and the coffee and tea are tasty! As another reviewer already mentioned, the breakfast sandwiches are on point. I had a ham, egg, and cheese on a croissant last week and loved that it was grilled on the panini press. Heaven. I have also enjoyed their Reuben(perfect) and homemade potato salad(too many pickles for me but would undoubtedly please less picky potato salad eaters than I). I’m surprised no one has mentioned this yet, but the atmosphere at The Palm Tree is unabashedly religious. There are scripture quotes on the walls, Bibles and religious tracts displayed prominently, and contemporary Christian songs playing in the background. Not at all unexpected in these parts, but could be off-putting to some, so I thought it important to mention as far as the ambiance goes. That said, it’s a comfortable spot. I would certainly grab one of the comfy chairs by the fireplace and hang out in here if I had a few hours to kill.

Yep, nice place in Emporia for Coffee & breakfast or lunch, great athmosphere in nice old bldg, Nice staff, friendly & accomadating. Homeade soups are great, and the sandwhiches crafted with care. Pleasant to have a locally ownned, non chain, non FASTFOOD place in Emporia to patronize while here for work.

Thank you to The Palm for being an oasis for those who want a fresh and healthy alternative for lunch or breakfast. We were passing through and didn’t want to eat at Cracker Barrel or the like. Vegetarian options and great coffee.

Small little place, kind of in the middle of nowhere. Haha I stopped here with my boyfriend for some lunch on our way to Florida. I got the chicken salad sandwich, it came on a croissant. It was yummy, but the chicken salad had some sort of relish in it, which I personally aren’t a fan of. I also got a Vanilla Coffee smoothie which was delicious. The boyfriend got a mango smoothie and the turkey club. I heard no complaints about either from him. I would defiantly recommend this place if you passing by, or even live in town!

We stopped by here passing through Emporia after deciding to skip a pretty yucky hotel breakfast. I wasn’t sure what to expect given the location but opened the door to find a comfy coffee shop. I had a latte and a ham, egg and cheese sandwich on a croissant. They grilled the sandwich on a panini press and it was fantastic, the croissant was very flaky and light. The latte was also just right, shocking in Emporia. If you are in Emporia, please stop by, the service is very friendly, the prices are good and the food and coffee are tasty. Free wifi is available.

Wonderful new establishment in a an area that is making a comeback! You can have breakfast or lunch with delicious coffee or smoothies then take a stroll through several small antique/gift shop style businesses on the same street! For lunch they do several excellent sandwiches on fresh country breads, ciabatta rolls or croissants. Their soups are homemade and scrumptious, salads are plentiful! They also have homemade pastries and scones! Stop by and give these new business owners your support! They are good people you will enjoy the atmosphere here as well! Oh and they are wi-fi friendly and kid friendly too!
